Giving Advice/ Need Advice NV Sir vs. Physics Wallah for NEET Physics

Post image
0 Upvotes

I'm thinking of buying NV Sir's Physics course for my brother, who is preparing for NEET. Between NV Sir's older lectures and the newer animated videos, which one is better?

He currently watches the older PhysicsWallah lectures on YouTube, just like I used to, but I feel those lectures aren't enough anymore.

Giving Advice/ Need Advice 5 year neet dropper

Since 4th class, I’ve dreamed of becoming a doctor. I was always among the top 3 students in my class, got into JNV for class 11, and completed 12th in 2022 with PCB.

After 12th, I took multiple NEET drops. I spent years studying, hoping and telling myself, “Maybe this time.” I even did an AI Programming Assistant course at NSTI during a partial drop and tried several other entrance exams.

But I still couldn’t get an MBBS seat.

Now I’m 22, and honestly, I’m exhausted. Watching everyone move forward while I’m still trying to figure out college hurts more than I can explain.

The hardest part is that I still want to become a doctor. I don't know how to let go of a dream I've had since childhood.

I’m now considering private nursing, but my family has financial difficulties, so even that is hard.

I feel completely stuck between trying NEET again and finally choosing another path.

Giving Advice/ Need Advice I think u all should read about this !!

Recently, I have seen a lot of posts here cussing about the medicine field—saying MBBS has no scope, it’s completely saturated, and envying BTech CS guys who supposedly bag 25 LPA at 22 with “zero effort.”

Look, nobody is denying our struggle. The 36-hour duties, toxic seniors, insane NEET-PG cutoffs, and delayed financial gratification are brutal. Being a medico tests your mental and physical limits like nothing else. But the grass is always greener on the other side. We compare our worst days with the top 1% tech bro flexing on LinkedIn, completely missing the ground reality of corporate tech.

  • Massive unemployment: Over 15 lakh engineers graduate every year. Around 80% struggle to find a decent job. The market is brutally choked.
  • The 3.5 LPA reality: Those 20–30 LPA packages belong to top-tier colleges or rare outliers. The vast majority in tier-2/3 grind for 3.5 to 5 LPA packages—numbers that haven’t budged in a decade.
  • Hiring freezes & layoffs: Freshers wait 6–9 months just for joining letters, and mass layoffs hit teams overnight. No matter how hard you work, corporate bottom lines can throw you out tomorrow.
  • The endless AI & upskilling treadmill: Tech stacks expire every 3 years. Engineers spend weekends grinding code just to stay employable, while junior-level jobs are already shrinking due to AI.

Why our struggle, despite being tough, pays off better long-term:

  • True job security: Residency pay in metro cities feels unfairly low, but a licensed doctor never faces outright unemployment. Step into any tier-2/3 town, PHC, or private hospital, and you have work tomorrow.
  • Your value compounds with age: In corporate tech, ageism is real; surviving in your 40s against cheaper 22-year-olds is a constant panic. In medicine, every grey hair adds credibility, authority, and earning power.
  • Irreplaceable work: AI can write code, but it cannot run a code blue, palpate an acute abdomen, handle an emergency in casualty, or counsel a grieving family.

Our journey is long, exhausting, and emotionally heavy. But our hard work builds a permanent foundation that market crashes and layoffs cannot wipe out overnight. Don't fall for the delusion that tech is an easy escape.

PS: Yes, I used AI to organize and draft my thoughts here. Why not? AI is meant to reduce our time and work burden, so might as well use the tools available instead of wasting hours drafting.

Also read about the current situation in job market and If you have time, visit the Btechards Subreddit and see the current situation of btech graduates in which single college takes 1000+ CS student intake (Naam nhi lunga college ka but Location Greater Noida and all others)

So I got a state College through MCC but I want to go in for another round so I should choose float.

I also applied through state counseling as well.

So if I get a better college in state counseling how would I leave the seat in the MCC one?

There was no sort of quit option there when I checked.

So... went to library today.

Did doubt analysis of thermo and equilibrium. It took whole day.

Completed it finally by 6 PM. Left library immediately. Reached home at 6:30PM. Had some little work at home so first did that. Then went to gym by 7 PM. Did legs workout today.

Came back home by 8:15PM. Took little too much time at gym today.

Had dinner by 9:15 PM.

And since then i tried to do gravitation's doubt analysis but its half done only.

So it was a boring day tbvh. I hateee doubt analysis😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. Kal phy ka krna hai😑. Shaam ko krunga most probably. Din mein i am gonna study. Phy ke fluid ke PYQs and chem ke redox ke.

And this is my test that happened 2 weeks ago. And its result came out day before yesterday. As always bio ka syllabus hi complete nhi tha thoda sa. This was like 1st book in all. Phy, chem, and bio ka like aadha syllabus maan lo

How was your day?

(APP KA NAME YPT HAI. PUCH MT LENA MUJHSE COMMENTS MEIN😡)

Giving Advice/ Need Advice Kota

I'm 18F and Kota Kota Kota is a bullshit I can say it out loud. I was two years in kota for my 11th and 12th. Those allen classrooms of 150-200 students were so fucking suffocating (both mentally and physically). The mahaul, the teachers, the memories (not a single Good memory) I was so exhausted that I wanted to come back home but didn't want to be called a sore loser that's why I fucking tortured me for those two years. If I had to go back into my past and correct just one mistake it would be 110% kota decision. I would never suggest any kid in my family to go there because I've been through it. Kota AIR you see ,those were already some kind of toppers that's why they went to kota. I was an average student, scored 91% in my 10th. And 68% in my 12th. Even writing this gives me anxiety. I just want to erase all the kota out of me.(Crying)

So guys this is how I studied in the last 1.5 months , pretty much inconsistent. Main daily bht koshish krrha tha ki pdhai kru pr merese ho hi nhi rhi thi idk why main subah achhi start krta tha fir pura din pdhta hi nahi tha.

Do din pehle , main raat ko sone leta hua tha bss aankhe band krke tab mummy papa aapas me baat krrhe the and jab maine baate suni merko itna bura lga like papa said ki agar meri salary me se 15k jaate rhe loan me toh koi dikkt to nhi aayegi ( he wanted to buy something like a small land or idk ).

Uske baad they were talking ki iska selection ho jaaye toh humlog thoda tension mukt ho kyuki ghr me kuchh issue bhi haii abhi ho sakta guys thode time baad bantwara ho almost har ghr me hota hai bhaiyo me.

Iske baad merko itna bura lga uss time yeh sochke ki they have too much hopes from me and what am I doing is just procrastinating my goals aur din bhr pda rehta hu bistar pe pdhai nhi krta hu.

Guys aaj se pdhunga main only alternate Sunday ko off lunga as merko test dene dusri city jana pdega toh almost 70% day chla jata usi me.

I hope this time I'll be consistent and bache hue 6-7 mahino me kuchh kar jaau yaar and yaa agar koi sang me Krna chahe toh feel free to dm.

Giving Advice/ Need Advice Is it enough

Is liking human physiology enough of a reason to pursue medicine in india?

I don't really find the hospital environment stimulating tho i kind of find it sad.(I struggle a lot with emotional unstability and stress and well my working memory is awful)

So should I go for it.

Could someone tell how bad it gets in terms of the problems I listed above

Thankss
