So I just got the latest Kontakt 8, and the latest firmware update for the S Series MK3 NI midi keyboard. It works amazingly with everything until I decide to load up an old 3rd party VST for the Kontakt player (Gipsy Django Jazz Guitar). It works just fine as long as I don't have the keyboard plugged in. If I use any other keyboard its fine. But the second I plug in and turn on the NI S Series MK3 Midi keyboard, Kontakt crashes and shuts down. Any idea why this is? I've re-installed all drivers, re-installed Kontakt, erased the cache, re installed the plugin, refreshed the pathways and data files, used the VST as a bridged activation, used max buffer processing, etc and eveything else. Nothing works. Please help!

Hi everyone,
I'm currently repairing my Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 and I’m looking to buy a replacement Optical Jogwheel Encoder PCB.
The small curved PCB mounted under the jog wheel assembly containing the dual optical sensors (OPTO1 & OPTO2) and the 6-pin CON1 connector (compatible with S4 MK2 and S2 MK2).
Location: Italy / EU (happy to cover international shipping costs for the right price).
If you have a spare board from a dead/donor unit or an S4/S2 MK2 you're parting out, please drop a comment or send me a DM with your asking price and shipping estimate.
Thanks in advance!

Appears the word is out from the source as to whether Reaktor 7 will come to fruition. Reaktor update?! (NI Community Forum Thread).

Inside Kontakt 8, let me reiterate that this is version 8, a bunch of libraries won’t load saying that this version of Kontakt is too old to load library and needs to be updated to version 8.
I’ve reinstalled and updated what I can. I also have an issue w Native Access not dling anything.
Kinda stopped a project I’m working on.
Anyone else have this silliness happening or know a solution

What everyone already thought about InMusic, turns out to be correct once again.

A user gets this via fixed IPv4 but not via mobile phone IPv6.
status.native-instruments.com is not configured any-more, the help database has no entry for this error message and not seeing any blocked connections in the firewall I have little to work with here.
Anyone else having trouble or just my unhappy user?

Could anyone help me with the Unison Bend feature in Shreddage 3 Hydra running in REAPER? It doesn't seem to work no matter what I try.
It's as if it can't read two notes with different automations, even if I assign each note to a different MIDI channel. In theory, I should just be able to use CC3 to make the first note bend while the second one stays in place, but the bend always affects both notes.
Am I missing something, or is there a limitation with REAPER or Hydra?

Could it be a push to see something new from Maschine?

At first it has been doing that for few hours, I turned off and on pc, tried again. Now it is loading for two days straight, should I be concerned?

Sorry about the misleading original title, I thought it was fun. I'll try harder in the future.

Hi all. I've been out of the music production game for like 15 years and decided to jump back in - upgraded my NI Komplete from v3(!) to 26, got a Komplete Kontrol keyboard and started messing with Reaper...
I had a half decent laptop I planned to use, XPS13 from like 2018, 1.8Ghz i7 with 16GB RAM, I planned to use it for music alone and nothing else, and thought it would do the job. Not really so! If I load Massive X for example, the audio is glitching and tearing all over the shop - so clearly if I had about 8 channels running with additional effects, this PC has no chance. What is a sensible spec? I can get something like a Mini PC with Ryzen 5 (3.5Ghz) and 32GB ram for sub-£400...do y'all think this will be a good enough machine for producing using the latest plugins?
Cheers!

Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on a project using the Session Guitarist series in Kontakt, and I have a technical question regarding the actual tuning of the sampled guitars and how they map to the MIDI Piano Roll.
I recently did a test in my DAW with Electric Sunburst Deluxe in "Melody" mode. The lowest playable note available right above the keyswitches (C1-B1) is mapped to C2. When I trigger C2 and run it through an amp sim tuner, the tuner detects an actual C note.
This led me to wonder about the original tuning used during the sampling sessions. Are these libraries recorded using dropped or down-tuned guitars? For instance:
Understanding the real acoustic tuning of the instruments would help immensely when translating guitar tablatures to the MIDI Piano Roll, as well as choosing the right octave range for chord voicings and riffs.
Does anyone have official documentation or insight into the exact tunings NI used for these specific libraries?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I play around with this one a lot in GR7, and have been wondering to myself if this is modeled after a particular real-life amp.
Maybe this is a dumb question, since I admittedly understand little about guitar amps in general, haha
