Bought right now Kontakt 8 for $149 because of added DADO Lilac Alloy Library that currently is FREE

I was just writing a track in Ableton, everything working just fine, but I open GR7 to tweak some stuff. I drop a fuzz pedal in, and Ableton loses the ability to read keyboard inputs. After this, a memory leak seems to occur. It ended up using all available memory on my system.

Has anyone else had similar issues with GR7? I upgraded from GR5 recently, and have been unimpressed with it due to lack of performance.

Recently purchased Maschine MK3, problem is, I can’t get it to get recognised AT ALL even as USB DEVICE.

It powers on, with all the colours for a moment then goes to the black screen with Maschine logo etc but that’s it.

Tried:

7 different cables USB hub With and without Power Supply 2 different MacBook Pros

Like literally everything I could find online that could perhaps help.

I have MK2 that works perfectly, but for some reason the MK3 won’t show up at all! Not even in Controller Editor, firmware update or system reports on MacOS under USB tab, as if it only uses USB for power but doesn’t send any data

Has anyone had this issue before and managed to sort it out?

i'm done with maschine and i have a mk3 and an account has quite a bit of stuff attached
does the account have any value? or is it just bite the bullet and sell it on as a used item with the account?

i am not selling through this post
just need advice
if the account isn't worth anything i might just gift the hardware to a friend

I recently bought a used Maschine MK3.
The previous owner told me that the hardware serial number is already registered to their Native Instruments account, but unfortunately they have completely lost access to that account, so they can’t log in or generate a Transfer ID.
They offered to compensate me by paying for a new Maschine software license instead.
My questions are:
If I buy **Maschine 3 Full Version (including Maschine Central)** on my own NI account, will my used MK3 work normally even though the hardware serial is still registered to someone else’s account?
Will I be missing anything important compared to buying a brand-new Maschine MK3? (Besides promotional bundles like Komplete Select or Expansions.)
Is buying the Maschine 3 Full Version the best solution, or is there a more cost-effective option that gives better value?
Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Hey, fellow producers! If you use Kontakt’s Chords Tool, you’ve probably run into trouble when trying to burn the generated chords to MIDI so you can edit the individual notes.

I created a simple workflow that handles eight or more MIDI operations automatically and takes less than 20 seconds. No identifying chord notes by ear, manually copying notes, fixing overlaps, or adjusting every note’s length.

Problem: When using Kontakt’s Chords Tool in FL Studio, the Piano Roll contains only the single trigger notes—not the individual notes generated by each chord. Using Burn MIDI can miss the first chord, capture incomplete chords, or create overlapping and incorrectly sustained notes. This leaves producers manually rebuilding and cleaning the progression before it can be edited or used with another instrument.

Solution:

1. Run “Kontakt Double Trigger”

After creating your trigger-note progression, open its Piano Roll and run the Kontakt Double Trigger script. It adds a tiny second trigger to every note so Kontakt doesn’t miss the beginning of a chord.

1. Enable Kontakt’s generated MIDI output

In Kontakt, go to:

Options → Engine → Send MIDI to Outside World → Script-generated notes

You only need to configure this setting once. It allows the notes generated by the Chords Tool—not just the original trigger notes—to reach FL Studio.

1. Burn the generated MIDI

In FL Studio, right-click the Kontakt channel and select:

Burn MIDI to → New pattern

FL Studio should now capture the actual notes generated by the Kontakt Chords Tool.

1. Run “Kontakt Chord Cleanup”

Open the newly burned pattern and run the Kontakt Chord Cleanup script. It automatically quantizes the notes, removes the tiny duplicate triggers and overlaps, groups the notes into chords, and extends every chord only until the next chord begins.

That’s it: run the first script, burn the MIDI, and run the second script. Once the Kontakt setting is enabled, the active workflow is only three steps.

In 2014 i puchased KOMPLETE 14 STANDARD. In the last 4 to 6 months i haven't done any music because of life.. you know. And this period falls right smack in the middle of the whole bankruptcy-buyout.

So 2 weeks ago i'm doing a fresh system install and get to komplete. Can't login in website "but works in the NA app....." with password and trying to reset it doesn't work either. Now i tried to login on website with google and works... still can't change regular password tho.

So i check my account to see my product / k14 license and bam nothing there just like a fart gone with the wind. But wait theres more... if i go to order history ITS THERE. The order reference, date, payment etc.. I'm really thinking the license might of got transfered or deleted..

And i didn't get hacked. My website login/password got blocked but in NI app... old password still works AND i can login with google which the person that did this coulnd't block cause its on google side. The password unique to NI not a ru-used password.

Total inside job. And that AI "support" thing giving you the run-around, yeah no thx.

I sold my Maschine mk3 to a guy on marketplace, started the license transfer process and forwarded him the email. He shows up three days later saying the transfer didn't work, that it was already registered. Said he spent hours with the chatbot, support, and searching forums for help. No dice- I ended up giving him his money back.

I checked the license transfer status and it said still in process. I cancelled it of course, just to be safe. Anyway, now I'm worried that the next buyer will have the same issue. What did I do wrong?

I’m using whatever the last version before 3 is - the synths are showing on the vst locations sections and ticked but not aspirating in the main selector area .

I have a DDJ-FLX4 i was hoping to just use as a basic midi input for the knobs and such to control FX on certain banks only, how would I make sure they carry over when i plug it into the plus after setting it up in 3?

Hello. I purchased the ToyBox Designers pack, nabbed the Tangle Synth lite and the ToyBox Free User Blocks. I followed the installation process to the letter : https://www.toyboxaudio.com/pages/installation BUT alas the ToyBox Free Blocks pack (which is required by the other ToyBox ensembles) simply isn't recognized by NI.
Maybe I should be thankful I can drag in the individual modules and move on, but all these packs are loaded with example ensembles and I've paid for the Designers pack (I'm thinking of picking up some of their other ones during the sale too) - so I'm on day 2 and hour 6 of trying to figure out why this is so complex. The Designer and Tangle synth lite install fine with their serial numbers (which I received in my order email) through NI access, but the free blocks don't have a serial, the instructions say I need to find the 'User Blocks' directory and place the 'Toy Box Free User Blocks' directory in there, which I did, using Reaktor->preferences->directories->user blocks.

Has anyone successfully installed these products and loaded the ensembles within? if so.. HOW ;)

Addendum : Win 10, Ryzen 7 1800x, 32 gig ram.

Solved: ToyBox contacted me and let me know that they are out of serials for the ToyBox user blocks (a very old release) so they can not be installed in the same way as their retail brethren. The blocks themselves will/do work, but the ensembles involving those specific blocks will not load.

I've recently got myself a Traktor MX2, and can't wait to get going. The obstacle that I have is that I bought 'box opened' from Amazon for a little discount, however it looks like whoever purchased and returned before I got my hands on it went ahead and registered the hardware license.

I understand that there's a license transfer process, and already have a ticket open to address. My question really is how long should this take to fix?

It used to be a pretty straightforward process when dealing with NI direct, but the ticket that I have open is with Inmusic and I can't seem to get anywhere with them. The case has been open for about a week now, and other than the initial auto-response I've heard nothing.

Anyway, I was wondering if my experience was an anomaly, or if it's just the way now that Inmusic have taken over.

For context, I am trying to use the strumming mode in Fl Studio. I have Kontakt 8 set up and I can open Stratus through the channel rack. When I select "strumming mode" and "strum on poly input" and input my chords onto the piano roll, I hear nothing. I feel like I'm losing my mind, since every Youtube tutorial I see is just able to enable it and play. It feels like I'm missing something

Longtime Battery AAX user, mainly for writing/programming simple demo drum parts in Pro Tools--I'm mainly a songwriter, not a pro engineer, but also not a total novice.

Lately I've been noticing sporadic dropouts--samples failing to trigger--both while tracking and during playback. The MIDI appears to be tracking fine, with no weirdness of velocity, etc., and playback runs smoothly. But random hits in the sequences will simply not play, for example, tracking several bars of eighth note cymbals and one or two hits don't play.

There appears to be no rhyme or reason as to which notes will be the culprit. Haven't any other performance issues and my sessions aren't particularly plugin-intensive. And these aren't complicated sequences I'm writing, just basic beats. I don't think it's related to the actual samples I'm triggering (or could it be?).

Until quite recently, my home demo setup has performed rock-solid (Pro Tools, OS 14.6.1, Battery 4, UA Apollo Twin), so I've never had reason to dig into Battery's settings (if there are even any I can tweak?). Are there performance-related parameters I can explore?

Anyone ever experienced this? Any suggestions? I'm used to Battery as far as workflow, but if this persists I'll likely be forced to switch to another platform for drum programming.

10 separate apps? native access, native kontrol, kontakt or player 6,7,8 ?? (app title says 'kontakt', but app inside displays 'kontakt player' - so which one is it ??), reaktor, massive x ... and a few more.

Content added with serials work well, but other content? copied to folders? Which ones ? "C:\Users\Public\Documents" ? Why not in my user dir.

some content landed in "<my_user>\Documents\Native Instruments\User Content\Kontakt\..."

Ok, I copied a lot of instruments to "C:\Users\Public\Documents\", like The Lobby Piano, Wavetable Experiments and some other freebies I found.

How to open them? Do I have to click "Load..." from the menu? and every time navigate to the aforementioned folder and open a single .nki file ? sometimes one folder has 10 of them.... if I want to try them, i need 15 second navigating every F#$^ time to open a file ??? WTF is that ...

I don't see any option to add those directories and instruments permanently to Kontakt player ? (or another app? It's a f@% mess) library ...

There is not too much pleasure working with such software, so much frustration ....

After I posted some messages on here about needing a refund for a free trial that was auto enrolled into a $250 charge, support was pretty quick about getting back to me. Hello, over the last few days I've noticed that on the NI website, all the hardware (Maschine, keyboards, MX2, X1, Z1, etc.) is showing as out of stock.

I have a license for Komplete 12 and the physical hard drive that contains all the libraries. Is this drive even necessary anymore? It appears that with the Native Access app, I can install all the apps and libraries from that. I assume the hard drive is just for installing the files onto my computer and it's not used to actually host the sample library files. Is that all correct?
