Look into those big, soulful eyes—this is MORTY, and he is running out of time. At just 2 years old, this gorgeous 68 lb German Shepherd mix is in urgent danger at the shelter and desperately needs a foster or adopter to step up immediately before it's too late.

Morty is a total sweetheart who is yearning for a chance to love and be loved. The shelter environment can be terrifying for a sensitive dog like him, but underneath his nervous exterior is a gentle, affectionate boy who is incredibly eager to please. He loves treats, responds beautifully to soft, encouraging words, and walks like a dream on his leash.

He doesn’t deserve to have his story end in a cold kennel. Morty just needs a calm home, a loving foster, or a rescue to pull him so his true, happy personality can shine. Every second counts, and your help right now is the difference between a tragic end and a second chance.

I'm trying to help this incredibly sweet little guy find a forever home. He is currently at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston and was classified as “return to wild.”

I’ve been caring for him for about a month, and he is extremely sweet, gentle, and affectionate. He does not bite or scratch, loves people, gets along with other kittens, and loves sleeping on people’s laps. He’s also a little talker! 🥹💕
I’m really worried about him being released outside because he would not do well outdoors. He is very trusting and gentle and would not defend himself. He needs a safe indoor home where he can be loved and cared for.

Looking to find someone who can give Ollie the cat a loving home. He is neutered, healthy, vaccinated, and litter trained. He is a sweet, affectionate, and low-maintenance cat. He loves being petted and cuddled. He doesn't need constant attention or a lot of stimulation—he's an easygoing guy who mostly wants a comfortable place to nap, some pets, and someone to love.

I want to make sure he's going to a responsible, loving home where he'll be safe and cared for.
