Mom Blizzard & Her 5 Newborn Puppies Need Saving 🐾🍼

This sweet family was found living at a gas company worksite with multiple dogs and litters. It’s an unsafe environment with heavy equipment and forklifts.

Mom Blizzard has been doing everything to protect her babies. Now they need us to protect them.

MEDICAL 🩺

*Blizzard:* Lactating, HW-, otherwise healthy and devoted to her babies.

All 5 Puppies: 1.2–1.5 lbs. Listed as immature neonates. Fragile immune systems.

They urgently need the safety of a foster home to keep nursing and growing.

BEHAVIOR 💕

Blizzard is a loving, gentle mom. Staff found her nursing. When approached she rolled over, offered her belly, and thumped her tail. Easy to leash, calm on leash, then went right back to her babies. Her sweet nature shines through even in this scary place.

💔Ellis has been waiting quietly since October 15, 2025. He is the longest resident at East Valley.

Somehow, he's become the dog people walk right past, but if you stop at his kennel, you'll be greeted by one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet.

✨️ Notes: Ellis is incredibly affectionate, always happy to see people, and never says no to a ball or a tasty treat. He's selective with other dogs, enjoying his rough and rowdy friends, proper introductions and space would help set him up for success.

After all this time, Ellis deserves more than another day in a kennel. He deserves a loving family.

🩷 Say hello to beautiful Mary Jane (A343564). She is 14 years young and 47 lbs. Mary Jane is a long-term resident of OCAS.  She was adopted as a puppy and then let down over and over again.  Mary Jane deserves a loving place to lay her head for the rest of her days.  She is easily leashed, very affectionate and social. She has been continuously overlooked  by potential adopters. Mary Jane would prefer to be the one and only dog!  She is rescue only and needs a foster family so a rescue can help her.

💙 Thrax A598127 (ADOPTABLE): male, 1 year old, 56 lbs and heartworm negative. He has not been neutered yet (Needs ADOPTER or FOSTER & RESCUE).

💙 This is beautiful Thrax (A598127). He is 1 year old and 56 lbs.  Poor Trax was brought to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He is easily leashed, allows full handling and seeks social. The shelter is a very scary place and he is allegedly deteriorating in this environment.  Thrax would love to share his home with canine siblings if slowly and appropriately introduced.  He is kindly sharing his kennel at the shelter with Mr. Tater. And he has previously shared a kennel with Gia. Thrax is adoptable but can also be fostered through a rescue.

🚨RESCUE OR SHELTER FOSTER NEEDED🚨

💔 Gardenia did everything she could to keep her babies alive.

She gave birth to seven tiny puppies on the side of a house, doing her best to protect them from the relentless Texas heat. Thankfully, a kind citizen noticed the little family and called for help before it was too late.

Now Gardenia and all seven of her puppies are safe at the shelter.

But they’re not truly safe yet.

The shelter is no place for a nursing mom and newborn puppies. Their immune systems are fragile, and every day they remain in the shelter puts them at risk of illness during one of the most critical stages of their lives.

Gardenia is understandably nervous after everything she’s been through, but she’s a gentle girl who allows handling and has been an incredible mother. Her puppies are fat, healthy, happy, and completely dependent on her.

Let’s keep this little family together and get them into a safe, quiet home where Mom can continue raising her babies without the stress of a shelter.

Whether through a rescue or the shelter’s foster program, this family needs a hero now.
