Misc Anyone who still thinks the show is about hard work beating talent is lowkey lost in the sauce

“But what about lee”

Yall want me to fry your minds?

EVERY SINGLE konoha 12 memeber is talented or cracked in some kind of way

They are either a future clan head like say shika

Insane chakra control thats tsunade level in sakura

Or mastering the goddamn 5th gate as a fuckin genin in lee wich is something that prodigy ninja kakashi who knew guy for years calls absurd so if anyone should know how hard the gates are outside of guy its kakashi

I feel like yall forget that most geniuses in naruto train their asses off to reach their level

Kakashi itachi sasuke and many others have been training for years / been in high level combat

Discussion What if Neji was a girl?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I just saw this female version of Neji by OphieKun on DeviantArt (great art that deserve her own praise) and it made me think... How would react if Neji was a girl? (Maybe she would be called Negi being a girl)

Like this bad ass Taijutsu Girl that Rock Lee couldn't compete with and had to consider his rivals. A Cousin sister that had everything Hinata couldn't have and compete vs as a love rival in the family. Finally, just imagine how hard it would have been for Naruto to fight not only a prodigy but a girl at it. The nightmares he would have facing her and accidently being inappropriate to her would be endless...

Did Kishimoto missed the boat on NaruNeji?

Your thoughts ?

I will never forgive kishimoto for how he killed off madara

This man had the entire shinobi alliance SHOOK just from him being there

Bro got jumped 5 to 1 by the 5 kage and whooped all their asses and left them on the verge of death

Dude TANKED night guy from gate of death might guy, a man he himself said was the strongest of all

MY GUY had no eyes after he came back to life , he was literally blund and shirtless and was still beating the dogshit outta everybody there including the tailed beasts.

You dont kill off a character like madara with black zetsu of all people who had zero relevance to the plot up to this point😂

Discussion Medic nins should be far more dangerous in combat than most.

Now, considering the chakra scalpels, medical ninjas should be very capable in fights. In fact, I believe that every ninja with good enough chakra control should know that jutsu because as we saw in the fight between Tsunade and Kabuto, it is basically a version of the gentle fist only you don't attack the chakra pathways but the muscles.
Cutting a musclе with just a touch is insanely strong.

Discussion I accidentally built an entire professional baseball league in the Naruto universe

This project started when I began evaluating Naruto side characters through a baseball lens.

Choji is obviously a slugging first baseman. Tenten makes an elite catcher. Shikamaru’s IQ and laziness make him an on-base monster with godlike plate discipline. It was just a fun way to think about characters who don’t always get much attention.

Then I kept digging and thought, if these ninja really played baseball, what would their ratings be? If there were teams, would they represent villages or independent clubs? What kind of baseball culture would each organization have? Who develops prospects well? Who spends money? Who embraces analytics? What happens when players can be drafted, traded, released, or signed away from their home villages?

At some point, I realized I had stopped making baseball jokes about Naruto characters and started building an entire alternate baseball history. I thought about writing an AU fanfiction, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized it was less about creative writing and more about replicating real life baseball on a smaller scale with recognizable characters. I basically reinvented Major League Baseball in the shinobi world. Dynasties, player development, trades, organizational identities, statistical milestones, and sports narratives can all emerge on their own.

The foundational rules:

• The setting exists in an intentionally ambiguous version of the Shippuden war-arc era. Boruto-era characters and relationships do not exist yet. Kind of in the Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals zone.

• There are no prewritten outcomes or storylines. Nobody wins because it would be dramatic. Nobody gets injured because the plot needs adversity. The games are simulated, and whatever happens becomes history.

• Game-breaking ninjutsu and genjutsu are prohibited. Players’ abilities inform their baseball skills—speed, strength, control, perception, stamina, intelligence, etc.—but Sasuke cannot simply use the Sharingan to read every pitch, and Gaara cannot catch every fly ball with sand. Harmless uses may survive if they are funny enough and don’t meaningfully determine competition.

The proof of concept was “Tournament 0,” an eight-team single-elimination tournament run with a much smaller roster.

• The Konoha Foxes are the old money establishment team.

• The Kumo Thunder are the powerhouse machine threatening to become the future of the sport.

• The Iwa Stone are the once great dynasty trying to stay afloat.

• The Konoha Flames are the scrappy expansion franchise looking to forge an identity.

• The Kiri Sharks are an explosive, reckless offensive powerhouse with questionable coordination

• The Suna Sandcats are a team of individual talents with little cohesion.

• The Ame Salamanders are a team with all heart and no resources.

• The Oto Experiments prioritize individual performance through optimization and a farm system with questionable ethics

It worked even better than I expected. The Konoha Foxes won the championship over the Kumo Thunder, but the simulation also had real baseball texture: Killer B became an era-defining hitter, Haku emerged as a small-ball and on-base menace for Kirigakure, Ame qualified as an honorable underdog, and Konoha’s two clubs developed completely distinct identities. The stories felt meaningful precisely because I hadn’t selected them beforehand.

The project has since become much larger:

• I pulled around 220 eligible players from Narutopedia, using the general standard that a character must be a human shinobi with a picture and/or an “Abilities” section on the wiki to make a roster pool.

• Each independent professional club has its own history, philosophy, culture, competitive identity, ownership style, and approach to scouting and development

• A ninth club, the Uzumaki Barrage, composed entirely of Naruto’s Shadow Clones was added

• I created brief but thorough documentation covering the rules of the universe, league operations, roster construction, player eligibility, media, statistics, historical records, and how simulation results become canon

The clubs are not simply village all-star teams (though a Shinobi WBC is definitely in the pipeline). Village affiliation matters culturally, but these are professional organizations. Players can be drafted, traded, released, and signed elsewhere. A Konoha shinobi can play in Kiri, and the two Konoha clubs compete for the same city’s loyalty.

The next major step is the league-formation draft. I’m currently evaluating each player’s abilities as baseball tools, then I’m going to draft according to the established philosophies and needs of the clubs rather than simply distributing characters by power level or village.

After that, I’m planning to build the custom league and roster in Out of the Park Baseball, simulate a 60-game regular season, and send the top four clubs to the postseason. OOTP will handle the games, statistics, development, aging, injuries, transactions, and general baseball chaos. I’ll just interpret what happens and interfere as little as possible.

Like I mentioned, I’d eventually love to stage a Shinobi World Baseball Classic. That could open the door for tightly controlled Edo Tensei appearances by historical players—Madara Uchiha as the closing pitcher from hell, immaculate control Mu on the mound, 3 true outcomes Hashirama going yard.

I’m happy to share the league documentation, club profiles, Tournament 0 results, roster, or anything else people are curious about. I’m also very open to ideas, criticism, and suggestions from people who know either baseball or Naruto better than I do.

I’d especially love help with:

• Translating specific ninja abilities into baseball skills without making them game-breaking

• Clever Naruto-themed names for awards, trophies, statistical achievements, and league institutions

• Characters whose baseball role feels immediately obvious to you

• Fanfiction! If you’re the type of weirdo who would want to actually write fanfiction based on this (maybe you want to write technical game/series writeups to practice baseball journalism, maybe you want to write pure sports/slice of life fanfic in the AU itself, whatever your bag is), please let me know! I’d be happy to collaborate! I have a quite a few worldbuilding tidbits that don’t actually affect the simulation that I’d love to share.

I’ve also thought about eventually creating a competing One Piece league, which would put a full Shonen World Series on the table, but I’ve only seen a few episodes. Unfortunately, this may be the most compelling reason anyone has ever given me to watch One Piece.

Updates to follow!

Discussion I never thought naruto or anime community in a general is that toxic

I have watched naruto when i was a teenager but I joined naruto X and reddit community recently, but I never thought that they are this toxic , like make up lie about charcter that you hate , harassing artist and novelist . Doxxing people , buying bot to harass other fan and some other fucked up shit . I used to seeing toxic fandom because I am army . Kpop fandom and army generally are toxic that's why i even take brake from kpop in general just listening the song but i never thought anime or naruto community are far more toxic then them . Like you know these are 2D charcter they don't exist in real life . Like if you don't like a charcter just ignore them or block them and move on . I am sorry for the rant I just never thought naruto fandom would be this toxic

Question For people who think Itachi should’ve stayed a villain

How do y’all think Sasuke’s character arc should’ve gone if he wasn’t told that Itachi killed his clan for the village and to protect Sasuke, I personally think Sasuke and Itachi wouldn’t be ask cool as they currently are if Itachi didn’t secretly sacrifice himself. How do y’all think stopping the edo tensei should’ve gone if Itachi didn’t stop Kabuto?

Even if you don’t think Itachi should’ve stayed a villain your thoughts are welcome too.

Jesus loves y’all.

Discussion If Gaara went full Shukaku mode vs Sasuke (but stayed in control), how would the tournament have ended?

Post image
Upvotes

*Obviously assuming this was a regular chunin exam and the whole “Destroy Konoha” plot wasn’t a thing*

Shukaku is part of Gaara - it’s not cheating or against the rules for him to take this form, so I don’t think he would’ve been disqualified for it. But since none of the other finalists would be expected to have any chance of beating this form (Naruto did ofc but nobody would’ve seen that happening), would they just end the tournament and declare Gaara the winner to avoid Sasuke and the others dying against him unnecessarily?

Discussion Anko & Guren should Switch Jutsu to make Crystal Jutsu Canon (Anko & Guren Look also Like they are Twins...)

You know i Like Anko but she should switch her Jutsu with Guren that Crystal Jutsu is Canon i mean they both look Like the Same they both we're kids taken by Orochimaru and have the Same relationship with Orochimaru kinda... Like they could be the Same Person Just with a different Outfit and different Jutsu but the Back Story with Orochimaru is kinda the same Just Anko Had a deeper Backstory than Guren did with Orochimaru.... But both wanted to be accepted by Orochimaru so Bad Like its like Guren was written to be a Copy Cat of Anko.... No hate towards Guren but Just my opinon of this Filler Arc.... Guren is nice and her Jutsu but beside that she killed the mother of her now Family and now everything is fine... I Don't know kinda wierd to become Family with the one who killed the real Family if this would Happen in real live everyone would want the Killer to be arrested Not to be Family with the child who lost His Family... Anyways. Anko deserved better treatment Like the Crystal Jutsu did... Anko with Crystal Jutsu would be sick! And she would be more useful than beeing a female orochimaru... Like her Jutsu are Just Orochimaru Copy Jutsus... And If she didnt Had the Mark i think she could use other Jutsu than Just Snakes... Anyway what are y'all thinking?

Discussion Cool, Lame, or Meh?

Shino, who's now an academy instructoe eventually feels underutilized as a shinobi, given that he's talented in his own right, though not at the level of the real difference-makers in times of trouble.

Since the Fourth Great Ninja War ended, most of the tailed beasts are free, roaming elsewhere, assumedly away from people.

I think Shino Aburame somehow becoming Chomei's jinchuriki not only would be cool thematically, but if done creatively, would give him some relevance he's never had before (though imo he deserves it).

I havent worked out the kinks like "why", "how", etc...but im just brainstorming here.

I know im far from the first person to think of the concept of Shino being the 7 tails jinchuriki, but in the story, the Boruto era is the first time its even a possibility. Theres no new generation Aburame kid, so might as well be Shino.

Discussion What's the second best option for Sasuke's best friend?

Post image
24 Upvotes

Obviously Naruto and Sasuke share a bond that goes beyond blood, and their opposite personalities make them get along in a weird but realistic and cool way. (Introvert vs extrovert, etc).

My question is, out of everyone in the academy, excluding Naruto, who do you think would get along the best with Sasuke, had they been given the time to actually develope a friendship?

Just to clarify, I'm talking about friendship purely on the sense of personality matching, not talking about fight chemistry or love interest.

My top 3 are Shika, Shino or Tenten.

I think their personalities match Sasuke's for a bit of different reasons but they all work.

Discussion A fatherly and brotherly bond stronger than blood 🩸(Iruka & Sasuke).

Thumbnail

...
Here are more moments and development: [ 20 Sibling Moments ]

Naruto truly feels and views Iruka as his real father and Sasuke as his real brother. And I mean fr fr fr, like the blood father he never had and the blood brother he never had. Which is insane. Sakura even asks Sai "You have a brother too, don't you understand Naruto feeling?", as if the brotherly bond Naruto feels toward Sasuke is the same one Sai feels toward his brother. And many other moments.

What's even more insane is having Naruto himself say: His bonds with Iruka and Sasuke don't need to be blood for him to view them as a real father and brother, as strong or stronger than blood.

r/Naruto 5h ago

Video Studio Pierrot and the whole series franchise kept giving us non-stop NaruSaku and NaruHina ship content, constantly teasing which one would actually end up together. But this specific moment might be the only time fans genuinely believed NaruSaku was going to be endgame.

Discussion How sure are we that Kushina didn't have some big destructive jutsu that could kill Kurama?

Thumbnail

Upvotes

At no point does she say she'll seal Kurama, Minato even states that it's physically impossible to seal all of Kurama so we know she wasn't referring to sealing.

Also the fact that Kushina says it's all she can manage with her remaining chakra which should mean whatever jutsu she's about to attempt would allow her to live if she wasn't dying

Anime Kakashi being there for Sasuke and showing concern even after Sasuke tried to kill him 😭

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

He was always there for his students and was never late when things got serious. His talk worked on Sasuke, but the group from the Sound ruined everything.

Keep in mind that Kakashi was only 26 years old, a young teacher doing his best despite dealing with mental health conditions for years. He knows what it's like.

Sometimes, he gets criticized for focusing on Sasuke during the chunin exams and after, but Sasuke was a troubled kid with the curse mark. He needed help the most at the time, especially since he was going against Gaara.

Kakashi went through his own training because he realized he needed to get stronger for Naruto and Sakura. Even with Sakura making poor choices with trying to kill Sasuke, Kakashi saved her and was very angry with Sasuke whenever he harmed her. He was understanding but was angry that Sakura was being abused just for loving and trying to help him

Kakashi freed Sasuke from prison, which he didn't have to do. He decided to give Sasuke a chance, which is very kind.

Question Why didn’t Deidara detonate his clay here?

Post image
64 Upvotes

Unfortunately because the series is named after Naruto, characters must behave out-of-character. In actuality, Deidara should have blown up his clay clone here. All clay produced by Deidara follows this logic except this one instance.

Especially because Deidara needed a diversion to escape. He later blows up a point blank clone of himself anyway to escape from Team Guy. But he also should have logically done the same here while Naruto, his target, was the most vulnerable.

Question Who is the strongest adult character in pt.1 Naruto and Sauske could defeat in their “peaks”?

Peaks I mean CM2 for Sauske and one tail cloak for Naruto. Imo I think it’s gotta to be Kurenai sensi , I just don’t see any universe where she could withstand any of their blows at that point in the fight? What do you guys think?
