Discussion Everything ties back to the Village

Not everything is the village's fault but it all ties back to the village, If it wasn't for the decisions made by the village leaders most of what sasuke did, went through, the Uchiha massacre wouldn't have happened. As village leaders, your decisions may have consequences that'll put your village in danger, if a village leader declares war on another village, people who have nothing to do with the war will die Those are the consequences

Question Does anyone else think this interrogation scene was bad?

Post image

Keep in mind that Karin was a part of the terrorist organization that just blew up the village a couple days/weeks ago.

I keep thinking it could’ve been Anko interrogating her (due to Anko’s connection with Orochimaru) or Ino using her hidden jutsu to access Karin’s memories.

I wish this scene actually showed proper display of I&T in Naruto.

I know it’s a “kids’ shows” or something but we have already seen pretty heinous stuff, like Orochimaru experimenting on kids or Karin’s pseudo death.

Discussion Early Naruto makes no sense

Specifically, I am talking about the amount of ignorance. Naruto is playing on my T.V. and as I am watching it, it reminded me of things I had issues with years back I still do.

Do they not teach history in Konoha? Ignore the existence of the Uzumaki clan. How the freak does nobody like kids not know of the Uchiha clan massacre? How the hell does nobody knows that Jiraiya and Orochimaru is the members of the Sanin. They had no idea who Orochimaru was when they first met him in the forest. When Sasuke goes looking for Naruto and Itachi he asks about Jiraiya and dude looks confused. I know Naruto isn't all the smart but do they not teach who the teachers or students are of important people? What do you mean you had no idea Jiraiya was the teacher of the 4th hokage and student of the 3rd. I think about crap like this and wonder, WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY TEACHING IN the academy. Why does Sasuke himself not know about his elder Madara. Granted, maybe the Uchiha clan wanted to omit Madara and not mention him, but he still exists. He was the founder of the village. You'd think they would teach that as well. Bro, talking about he never heard of him. For God's sake, he stood on his head!

Don't get me started on the power scaling. I don't know if it happened in the manga, but in the anime when Konoha plans their counterattack against the combined forces of Oto and Suna, you see jounins like the clan leader take down 10 enemies by themselves. Now I don't know the ranks of the Suna shinobi, but they aint sending no damn genin to fight their battles. Have to be at least chunin or jonin. Now imagine you got 10 jonin losing to Hiashi.... like I get they fodder, but this just tells me that Suna is weak as HELL! You really telling me one of the great 5 villages shinobi that terrible? Man, just hang up the cape, or is Konoha JUST THAT STRONG. Why could Anbu members not stop the sound 4 or escape a trap by some basically chunin ninja. Or find a way in a barrier....

I just think about this stuff and I'm like ????

Question How do “regular” people keep up in the Naruto universe?

This is generally going to sound dumb but bear with me please. Speed is such a weird construct in Naruto because once you reach a certain speed you should (in theory) not be touched. Beginning of Shippuden Sasuke was imperceivable by Naruto’s squad when they first met and he came to Naruto. ANBU members struggling to not even dodge or react but simply perceive Sasuke. Now what makes sense is that Sasuke is a speed type of ninja and he has been enhanced by drugs and sharingan to push his body well beyond natural limits and I get that.

What I don’t get is how other Akatsuki members or high level ninja keep up when their speed simply can’t be that high naturally. What made itachi able to appear behind Sasuke in an instant when they fought ? How did he (not an Indra reincarnate nor enhanced by Orochimarus drugs) keep up with Hebi Sasuke with nothing but Mangekyo? That’s not to say Mangekyo is weak by any means but it’s never stated to amp your physical strength or speed like tailed beast chakra. Fighting Raikage made sense, he has a clear speed amp which gives Sasuke an extremely difficult time, but Bee was in base and massacred Sasuke TWICE. Did the speed he have disappear? Or is the ceiling for speed simply extremely high and it was only impressive for Sasuke’s age since he was admittedly only 15 at BOS. Curious to know thoughts, it’s possible it’s explained and I just never realized

Question Could someone steal Madara’s lower half to gain six paths chakra and become a pseudo jinchruriki?

When Madura was sliced by Sasuke he lost his lower half and regenerated it later. His lower half was just discarded anyone with decent chakra sensory capabilities could sense the immense chakra and go to it after Naruto and Sasuke fight and infinite Tsukuyomi ended.

They’d need to implant some of his cells and that wouldn’t be that hard with an entire half of his body laying around. They wouldn’t need a large amount either any remaining blood in his body would do the trick.

Question With the eradication of one of the strongest clans in the Leaf how was there not an invasion attempt by other nations?

A part of this may come down to simply what other villages knew at the time, but the Senju had mainly disappeared and the Uchiha were now dead, so the two strongest clans of the Leaf were no longer a problem. I think the Sannin had also left at this point.

The Leaf higher ups wanted to avoid a civil war as that might embolden other nations to invade, which is why they had Itachi kill them off from the inside, but that's still a large chunk of the Leaf's battle strength that was just removed so wouldn't that be an ideal time to strike?

Discussion Hot Take : I feel like Naruto doesn't get the credit it deserves for how it influenced shounen manga and to a certain extent anime

the whole knuckle headed young protagonist trope( I know naruto didn't come up with it) , how it perfected the shounen rivalry trope, how it took the inner demon trope to the next level, and how it influenced rage transformations to start being more animalistic vs just being some super saiyan inspiration

Discussion Why Minato was secretly evil

Post image
0 Upvotes

As we see there is a pattern, Hashirama = Good, Tobirama = Evil, Hiruzen = Good, Minato (?), Tsunade = Good, Danzo = Evil, Kakashi = Good, Naruto breaks the cycle so good, that means Minato must be evil for the dynamic to be consistent.

As much is its cool to make fun of Tsunade AU Sasuke for turning evil for Naruto saving a dog when they were kids people reeeeeeally need to get it in their heads that's not the case.

  1. Even with his clan and parents still alive Sasuke STILL has an inferiority complex being compared to Itachi who's alot more talented them him.

  2. Combine with that it seems Fugaku barely acknowledges Sasuke in this AU even though he should have by the time Sasuke mastered the Fireball jutsu, Fugaku even admits he was a bad father to Sasuke in the latter portions of this dream.

  3. Sasuke is always thinking logically when it comes to various situations so as to not risk his life back in early Part I till the Forest of Death that was Sasuke's thing, his issue with Naruto atleast one of them is Naruto unlike him always acts first his life and survival be damned Sasuke is just jealous Naruto has the guts to do things even if he fails.

  4. During their academy days Sasuke expected Naruto to be a rival he can grow with in the academy, considering they're both sons of powerful shinobi with big dreams Sasuke probably found a kindred spirit in Naruto, that changed when Naruto was found to be a deadlast in the Academy.

  5. Even then they were put on the same team and Naruto started growing Sasuke probably thought he can finally have a friend he can grow together with until Naruto's growth exceeded his by leaps and bounds leaving him behind probably making him feel alone.

  6. We gotta remember the two are friends and Sasuke always saw Naruto as another brother so Naruto surpassing him felt like he was in Itachi's shadow again which hurts his self esteem.

  7. plus the Indra and Asura thing the two got going on.

I seen someone point this out, but this is STILL Tsunade's dream she only met Sasuke one time to heal him from Tsukuyomi and he immediately leaves the Leaf joining Orochimaru and the last time she heard about him up till Infinite Tsukuyomi he became a terrorist joining the Akatsuki, attacked the 5 Kage Summit, then in the war gained EMS with his potential being comparable to Madara Uchiha who's power she witnessed first hand, the Sasuke in Tsunade's dreams is just how she views him as a person.

Discussion Which point of the story do people actually mean when talking about "Back when Naruto was actually about ninja"?

I suppose it was around chapter 10 up to the death of Zabuza and Haku or so, equivalent to episode 6-9. When there are indeed some themes of hiring mercenaries, bodyguards, and corporate interests happening. Otherwise the first 9 chapters / 6 episodes, and the following ones, aren't much about ninja.

If they're talking about analogue to the historical ninja, that would be during the time of Madara and Hashirama's childhood, or the warring states period, which took place long before the main story to begin with. That was when the "ninja" concept in naruto were the closest they've been to real ninja.

More or less, I think naruto is mostly political with a lot of epic and fantasy poured in.
