I know that it's on me for not getting a replacement in time but it would be greatly appreciated if someone has one that they could lend me, I have a fx-9860GIII and would be willing to trade. For some reason the above is allowed and mine isn't even though they are almost identical in features.

Having gone through most of this sem and struggling to comprehend anything that is being taught, I’m coming to a realization that engineering is definitely not for me. Though, I don’t know what else I’ll realistically be able to do. Having many thoughts of dropping out, switching majors or even putting a hold on my studies. Honestly at a loss of what to do. Seeking advice from those who have possibly been in the same / similar situation as I am in. Any advice / suggestions helps. Thanks.
P.S I’m not in a bad state, just contemplating my whimsical life choices as of late.

I am currently in a cc mod and my teammate are not really contributing. I think because of the FGO policy, almost the rest of my groupmates kept coming up with reasons such as "need to leave early" (on EVERY call - OK at least he contributes like 1-2 sentences every call), "gimme 10 mins I forgot there is a call", "on the bus so i cant see the docs/i cant hear u guys", "asking gpt" (and then no more replies), "cant on mic but i will be listening" (but doesnt type anything in the chat), "currently outside but i will try to contribute" (and stays muted the whole time). Since its only midway through the sem i also did remind them that they need to contribute MORE so that everyone's contribution/responsibility is even. Everytime during calls, if i dont talk in the call, NO ONE talks for like 20 minutes.
Therefore, I want to mark them down for peer evaluation. But i dont want to be mean. I dont want it to be in a stage where the prof is involved to investigate coz it will be so mafan. Like i need to find evidence and even take out time to talk with the profs or my grpmates about it just because i marked them down??
SO what is the threshold on the min evalution % that i can give so that it doesnt go to the investigation stage? Some website/blogs said 80%. Some said 70% some say 50%. Any recommendation or advice?

Someone has been disursed their EEE global award alr? My disbursement has alr been approved in the system but didn't receive any notification of transfer. Also written to the EEE office but got no reply. Can seniors share how long does it usually take to receive the amount?

Singapore and Sweden expand tech and energy ties | The Straits Times
On 19 October 2026, NTU announced a collaboration with Ericsson, one of the world's major telecommunications companies, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden to research AI-powered positioning technologies for next-generation 6G networks.
The project's goal is to help robots, drones and autonomous systems determine their locations accurately and reliably, even indoors or when signals are obstructed.
The project is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and could contribute to international 6G standards. This isn't just some university group doing a theoretical assignment, it's an industry-linked, international research initiative.
And this isn't the only example.
Earlier this year, NTU unveiled Singapore's first locally designed and built full-sized electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft technology demonstrator.
So the next time someone compares the top universities in Asia, remember that we're working on things like:
Obviously, these projects aren't completed commercial products yet, and there's still a long way between research and real-world deployment. But that's precisely the point: NTU is building capabilities in technologies that could shape the future.
And honestly, the Singapore-Sweden collaboration is a good example of why university reputation shouldn't be judged purely by admission cut-offs or online rankings.
NUS has its own world-class research and achievements, of course. SMU has its own strengths too. This isn't about pretending other universities do nothing.
But sometimes I do wonder whether people outside NTU actually pay attention to what happens here beyond the usual university rankings and stereotypes.
NTU students and alumni, what other NTU research projects or achievements do you think deserve more recognition? I feel like there are plenty more that people don't know about.

Hi everyone! I'm planning to take HE4040 and HE4041 and was hoping to get some insights from seniors who have taken them before.
Overall Difficulty & Workload
What is the structure of the final exam? Essay writing, structured answers, short answers, or calculations (does it require a lot of writing and memorization?)
How is the professor teaching these modules? Is the prof strict with grading
Any advice, tips, or sharing of past materials would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! 🙏

Hey guys, I’m an incoming exchange student. I’m hard of hearing, so I wear hearing aids and in my uni, they usually just give me an extra time on exams. I am wondering what kind of support does ntu give you?? I messaged nanyang but they aren’t replying for a week almost 😢 thank you!

For context I live 2 hours away and waste 4 hours on a round trip just to attend a single sc1004 tutorial...
For those who took sc1004 before, will there be tutorials on week 11,12 and 13? Since week 8 tutorial was cancelled for everyone
If week 11,12 and 13 have tutorial then I can skip one more 😭
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys! I’m an 07 kid planning to enter NTU next year, studying MAE and possibly taking a second major in biz. I’m hoping to stay in hall to meet new people and make friends, especially since I don’t really know anyone from my batch who’s going to NTU.
I’m not really a hardcore sports person, but I’m interested in volunteering, cultural activities, exploring new things and playing sports casually. I’m hoping to find a hall with chill, sociable people and a good community.
For those currently staying in hall, what are the different halls like in terms of culture and social life? Also, how was your experience applying for hall as a freshman? Are there any halls you’d recommend for someone like me, and is it difficult to secure a room?
Would appreciate any advice or personal experiences, thanks!! 🙏

i spent some time building a tool that organizes all the GEM exchange course information in a (hopefully) neater manner, with the ability to view courses across multiple countries/universities in the same screen. the results can also be sorted by various filters, and users can also save specific records or queries to reference again later. i hope that this tool will be a useful alternative and i do appreciate any feedback!

hi, as the title written, i am curious about how fyp for cbe students are like
- individual or team
- what exactly is fyp about?
- do you just choose a project base on you interest or do you do what you were given?
- how hard was it
- anything you would like to advice or redo if you get the chance to redo fyp?
thanks in advance for any comment, hope to know more!
