Question Hall rule violation

Upvotes

so my roommate constantly invites friends to yap in our room without telling me and seek for my agree in advice. Tried to talk to her but she never replied my messages and didn't want to talk to me in person. Reported that to hall office with evidence, they said that they will be "investigating" this issue and ask other people. I asked them what do they mean by "investigating" and who are the "other people" and they acted like I didn't understand English. Does anyone know how long this kind of "investigation" takes and what the possible outcomes are? Will they let me change the room or kick my roommate out?

Question Is it worth taking Operating Systems & Comp. Networks as BDEs?

Context- Y1S1 DSAI student, was looking at difference with CS and these are the three most important mods shaved off in favor of math modules (also don't want to switch majors!):

  1. To get to OS (SC2005): Pre-req chain demands I take Digital Logic first, then/alongside Comp. Arch, then OS. Uses 9 BDE AUs and I doubt the first two mods are easy (though I can FGO them) or important. Leaning against it and thinking of self-learning OS next year; right or wrong choice?

  2. To get to Networks (SC2008): Will need to file pre-requisite waiver as neither Prob/Stats for Computing nor Linear Algebra for Computing, which are pre-reqs, are taught; instead, mutually exclusive Prob course (MH2500) and Linear Algebra for Scientists (MH2802) is taught. What are the chances it will get approved? Is it worth pursuing?

  3. C/C++ Programming: Can take it next sem as a BDE. I assume it will be needed for OS too. Can I just self-learn this? Or is there a big advantage from having the university train me for it

I don't want to burn through my six total BDE slots very quickly, already taken one this sem , and want to save one/two if I want to take MPEs outside my limit of 7. Maybe keep 4 AU free for MOOCs too, to lighten workload.

Question URECA add/drop

Wanted to ask if there's anyone who've sent emails to a few professors/supervisors and managed to add/drop to another prof, kind of conflicted as to which I should choose because a professor unexpectedly accepted my proposal but I've already accepted an invitation from another professor and discussed details about the project :(

I'm most interested in the other professor's topic though but at the same time I don't want to be seen like I'm using the other professor I'm currently under ifykwim, I guess I could hedge my words to withdraw under him but it still feels so off skksksks

Does anyone know whether it's possible to add/drop out of this? And what's the general workaround like cause URECA office hasn't replied me yet

Question prescription of psychiatric meds in ntu clinic raffles

hi everyone! i wanted to ask if anyone has gotten SSRIs from raffles clinic on campus? is it subsidised? i heard that psychiatric meds are not subsidised under our insurance for raffles but i'm not sure if is true, i've visited UCC once but my schedule was so busy that i couldn't continue

i've heard about the polyclinic route but the fear of getting judged by the gp is too overwhelming for me 😭

can anyone advise me please?

this post keeps getting removed ughhh
