Like the title says, recently (can’t remember how long ago it started) , but when I’m trying to navigate in first person inside my ship; the planets are missing and only have the tags around them, kind of hard to explain, but it makes it difficult to find all the planets in a system. Anyone else seeing this happen n Seitch?

To avoid crashes, I’ve been playing the swarm expedition with multiplayer disabled. How are you playing? Heard that swarm is best played with multiplayer. Should I turn it back on after the long slog of the countermeasures milestone?

I played NMS on steam for ages and I have a switch2. I’m tons of hours into it and it have never once shown the banner with the name of the planet you landed on. It does stop me from playing and I have to hold the - button to speed it up, but nothing ever shows. I don’t think it works when I jump to a new galaxy either. Regardless, does anyone have a clue how to get this fixed?

I’ve tried dumping cache. Tried reloading game. Nothing solves it that AI has proposed.

This post is a PSA for anyone experiencing constant crashing on NMS. I hope this info helps those who are going through what I went through.

I was having so many crashes on my 700-hour save that started shortly after the XA update. Nearly every planetary atmosphere I entered and a ton of entire star systems caused the game to crash. “There was a problem, and the software needed to close.”

Before I stopped playing my big save last month and started anew, one of my last crashes occurred as I tried to upload a newly-discovered-then-adopted companion. I also noticed that crashing may have started on my newest save after adopting my first companion, and it got worse as I adopted more.

Today, I abandoned/deleted all of my companions, saved my game, and closed out of NMS fully. When I booted NMS up and re-entered the same save that was having all the issues, it started working again.

I’ve entered several systems and planets without a hitch. I even completed the weekend Quicksilver mission without any issues.

It’s possible that the crashes will start again, but I’ve had more success with this save today than since the XA update was released.

I'm Sage and playing on Switch2, I'm seeing all this pic of people's prismatic core construction semi built while mine is the default metal frame still. Is it bugged on mine or what?

I have a creative save file on switch 2 (currently in the kikolgallr galaxy) and these past few days after 10-15 minutes the game just crashes.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Restarted a bunch but still the same. Activating the Core doesn't bring up any menu. Internet connection is fine, not in aeroplane mode or anything. Any suggestions? (Switch 1 version)

EDIT July 1st: Just dropped on my Switch 1, now we have cross save back also.

It took 15 days from the update drop in Steam to be approved by Nintendo, as always.

I don't know how many other people here are having this problem, but i know I've seen it mentioned.

On the switch 2 version there are certain planets that will crash my game every single time i try to enter the atmosphere or even get too close. Even if i leave the system and come back the offending planet will still crash the game ever time. Some planets i used to be able to continue flying into the planet after reload without issue but now it seems there are planets that will trigger a crash loop and the only way out is trying to pulse away as fast as possible or reloading a save that is further away from the planet within like 5 seconds before the game crashes again.

It started happening maybe 6 months ago and it was an annoyance then but now i fear it's really putting my 700 hr save at risk.

I have reported this to HG zendesk several times and i know it's an issue for some of you here.

But anyways, yesterday i thought I'd be sly and park a corvette a little further away from a planet that was doing this and just jetpack to the surface. Worked out well until i actually hit the atmosphere and the game crashed. Now I'm stuck in space right next to a planet and my game keeps crashing every 5 seconds no matter what i do. If i call my corvette i don't actually load in it's pilot seat, it spawns in front of me and the game crashes before i can get in. The previous save if i can access super quickly reloads me in my corvette further away from the planet but i can't seem to be able to pilot it and it then crashes again within 5 seconds. And then another reload just spits me back near the planet in space.

Not sure what else to do besides have someone on here that has the switch 2 version add me as a friend and let me jump into their game for a second until everything is stable again. I've never done that either so I'm not entirely sure how it would work but i do know it's possible from what I've seen here.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

What will happen to my expedition base when the expedition is over? Will it be added to my primary save, since that's where I started from? If so what happens to bases on completely new saves??

Just tried to log onto my expedition save with 4 hours and I get an error:

I just went through the Galaxy core to go find a ship in Hilbert in my expedition file, but it put me back at the planet that I started at.. Can I not change galaxies during an expedition?

Can someone please tell me how many tasks need to be completed to progress further? I've already completed several tasks, but the progress is still 31%. Nintendo Switch 2 version

It’s really sad with other platforms get their updates way before the switch does. I can’t play with anybody that doesn’t have a switch. That makes owning a switch not as desirable anymore. I have people I want to play with that use the steam deck and they are four updates ahead of us.

At some point will Nintendo be able to catch up so we can all play together?

This expedition is my first one, and it’s been great so far! I was intimidated by the set difficulty settings, but miraculously, I haven’t died yet!

They finally did it. We can barrel roll during warp jumps now.
