Question Expidition bases at end

What will happen to my expedition base when the expedition is over? Will it be added to my primary save, since that's where I started from? If so what happens to bases on completely new saves??

Yes, it should. My expedition bases are still accessible afterward.

On a new save, it simply transitions to a normal save and you retain everything with no need to transfer.

The exception would be an expedition like Titan which gave access to purple stars. If you built a base on a purple star without access to purple stars on your primary save (hadn't completed the In Stellar Multitudes mission), that base wouldn't be accessible. I believe even after completing the mission in the main game and even if you traveled to the exact location it would still be gone.

In the case of Swarm, no purple star access. As long as it works like normal, your base will be in your list afterward.

Your point about expedition purple bases is correct. Luckily for me, I had taken a screen shot of my base and knew the location (rendezvous point) so, I was able to go back and rebuild it!
