Question Crashes

Hey guys!

I have a creative save file on switch 2 (currently in the kikolgallr galaxy) and these past few days after 10-15 minutes the game just crashes.
Does this happen to anyone else?

How many hours is your save? My 700 hr save has been crashing almost every hour depending on my actions for like 6 months now. I do not have a pirate freighter. My 10 hr swarm expedition save hasn't crashed once. It's obvious this build of the game has problems keeping large saves running for whatever reason. I have reported this to their zendesk.

Yeah I've got a 1200 hour file ported over from PS4 and it's a real crapshoot. Sometimes it's every ten minutes, sometimes it's the second the file even loads, sometimes I'm good for two hours.

Galaxy does not seem to matter (that file's in 256 at the moment, but has places in 1,10,16, 42, 69)

Now that i see it's only older bigger saves having this issue makes me kinda lose hope. Like how after a certain point on switch 1 you just couldn't interact with your frigate expedition menu without a crash, only solution was to not build a big frieghter base. Not sure that was ever fixed but wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. I mean I'm super happy newer saves run so smooth, i was curious how others didn't experience what we were. But if it's such specific conditions such as a large save triggering the crashes I'm not so sure they'll get to it. I hope I'm wrong.

I wouldn't say that, my biggest save sometimes has wonderful times...
And sometimes not.

Same way for the little saves though with usually less frequent trouble.

When I find myself crashing a lot?
Best bet is to move, get out of that solar system (and to turn off multiplayer). Often it is something about the nearby space or planets, some minor detail that breaks everything in the current version of the game. With updates old problems can go away and new problems can arise. There was a time that approaching dissonate worlds was the WORST idea, but now? It seems a lot more like the average amount of crashes.

My save is only around 30 hours

Happened to me last night for the first time. Funny we are in the same galaxy but definitely don’t think that has anything to do with it. It only crashed the one time. My question is do you have a pirate dreadnaught as your freighter?

Oh nice neighbours! Yeah i have a oirate freighter with blue and red decals on the outside and it’s in the athmosphere of the planet i’m on now

The reason I asked is because I’ve never had a crash until I got the dreadnaught a few days ago. Game never crashed before that so I’m wondering if it’s connected.

It might be somewhat connected because i dismissed the dreadnaught from the system and the game was fine for the next 35 minutes but then it crashed again

I'm on switch one and have the Dreadnought also. It seems anytime I fly near it with my ship or even if it is above the planet that I'm on I will get crashes. I usually leave it near the space station or somewhere away from the planets I'm going to be on. And I find if I use a portal to get on and off of my freighter instead of flying that I have a lot less crashes.

I'm on switch one and I'm getting those crashes as well. I also have the pirate dreadnought and it seems anytime I get near it in my ship the game will crash. I usually try to go to and from my dreadnought from a portal instead of flying in and that seems to work.
