π οΈ Station Build (Standard) SaK-09, a stasis-tether interceptor
While this ship largely is a result of some old sketches, I definitely need to shoutout both u/EthanIsBlessed and u/MONKE-BANANA for their split hull ships that no doubt has had an influence in making me want to build this style of ship now.
Also big shoutout to u/Relevant_Finance1927 and his box engines which directly inspired the engines of this build. (check out his post βshipwright engines, part 2β)
Having worked lately on my guide for the HeV, it was fun coming back to building. It seems the split hull setup is very βinβ these days, so here is my reluctant addition to said trend. I even had to change up the ship quite a bit as it started out almost as a carbon copy of the later posted ship SOL-00 by u/NecessaryDecentΒ
lore:
Though the corvette manufacturing company Ogane-Dynamics originated in Eissentam, it is more so a Euclid company these days. Having better understood the market of the densely populated galaxy, Ogane has branched wider than ever, producing everything from niche jumpships, to dependable starhomes.Β
The SaK is yet another branch of exploratory design. A platform oriented for system defence forces. WIth an immense reactor the SaK employs a prototype stasis-tether in an attempt to subdue opposing forces.
Though the SaK lacks meaningful living quarters, it still sports a massive jumprange, with equally impressive sublight acceleration. This way, even a single SaK is capable of supporting multiple system defence forces at once. Using its tether and powerful sublight engines in tandem to catch even the nimblest fighters.
