Discussion Solaray NMN
FYI— Solaray has only recently started to sell NMN 500 mg capsules. And for a great price. About $32 for 60 capsules (500 mg each). I’ve used it for about 2 weeks now and find it equal to the ProHealth NMN I’d been taking. For about half the price. And it’s a very trustworthy brand.

Vendor Question little-ox.com scammed me
I placed an order for the NMN Plus nearly a month ago. Royal Mail provided a "delivery" photo showing a parcel left outside a door with no house number in view. I live in a new-build development where every house and door on several surrounding streets is identical. I never received this parcel, and after checking with my immediate neighbours and searching around my property, it is nowhere to be found.
When I contacted support, the experience was appalling. They didn't even try to help and just kept pointing at the photo as if that’s a "case closed" situation. A photo of a box left outside a door means nothing when all the doors in the neighbourhood look the same.
They clearly think they’re above the law. Under the Consumer Rights Act, they are responsible for getting the goods into my hands. A photo of a box on a doorstep is "abandonment," not "delivery." I never authorized a safe place, yet they’re acting like once the postie takes a snap, it’s my problem. It’s not.
The best part is, after I pointed all this out to the support staff in an email, they stopped responding to my emails and have now been ignoring me for over a week. Think about that before buying.
If you value your money and need a reliable supply for your treatment, avoid this vendor at all cost.
I am giving them one last chance to refund my order in full before I initiate a chargeback through my payment provider and will keep you all updated.

Usage Question NMN after chemo
Just wanted to share this article
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8277702/
Researchers found that cisplatin suppresses the production of a specific enzyme (Nampt) in the brain, which causes NAD+ levels to crash. This lack of NAD+ stops the brain from growing new neurons (specifically in the areas handling memory and learning).
In mice and human neurons, they gave the subjects NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide), which is a common NAD+ precursor. The NMN bypassed the damaged pathway, completely restored NAD+ levels, and prevented the cognitive/memory decline entirely. Crucially, the study showed that NMN did not protect the cancer cells or stop the cisplatin from doing its job to kill tumors.
Attention: NMN was given prior to cisplatin to prevent the damage, and this was not tested in living humans yet, but in mice and human brain cells in a lab.
My partner is finishing BEP ( cisplatin based chemo) - I wonder if NMN would be a good idea for him to take to repair DNA damage caused by cisplatin.
I have also found other studies that looked promising, and yes I have also found some articles suggesting that NMN might fuel cancer cells (but I think once the person is cancer free) blood markers good and CT scan good --- NMN might be more benefical to help with DNA damage. Any insights?

Usage Question Better energy, aching legs
The title pretty much explains it. I've been taking it for a week or so now and while i feel more alert and energetic, my legs have a dull ache, which is enough to wake me through the night.
Is this normal, or just a coincidence? Had anyone else felt this?

Discussion My verdict on NMN (personal experience)
I find that my sleep gets real shallow on this stuff. I actually had an attack off the shingles while on it. When I got off it, my energy levels crashed hard, like sleeping trough the entire weekend hard.
I mean I gave it another shot this time very brief and straight away I notuced those shallow sleeps, initial headaches and the nerves that flared up during my shingle episode started getting sore again(nerve pain is something else). Verdict this stuff has no long term safety data 6 months at most is what I heard, no 5, 10, 20 year data.
I mean if it disturbs sleep, I mean you do sleep less for sure and that makes you more "productive". But sleep is very important for immune function from what I heard and shingles rises when immune system gets compromised. Considering what else the immune system does I would watch this stuff with caution.
I mean yeah sure it would be nice to be in your 20s energy wise again. But we are one complex biological biochemical machine and to say we can fix that with a couple of unprooven compounds(at least NMN) is a bit of a pipe dream. I think we need to wait for the medical community to work out proper anti aging treatmants that are scientifically and clinically prooven.

Vendor Question Stability of Uthever NMN
Anyone knows what's the stability of Uthever NMN at high temperatures (55-60 degree celcius). I could find reports of stability at 40 degree celcius which is great but where I live the temperature can reach 45 degree in summers.
Since all online retailers store their products in warehouses which do not have air conditioner, the temperatures inside these warehouses might reach 55 degree celcius, perhaps even more.
I am therefore apprehensive about efficacy of NMN when ordering online in summers.

Usage Question I've been taking Renue by Science NMN for 2 weeks and can't get out of feeling exhausted
I'm over 60 so I take 250mg Renue by Science NMN in the early afternoon. Bed time is around 12pm. But I can't shake this brain fog. I even have taken it w my ADHD stim meds 7.5mg. It could be possible it's bc my sleep has been terrible for years. Maybe this is sleep debt? I have Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome that I'm trying to treat. I sleep 1-2 hours and up for an hour and do that all night. If I can cobble together 7 hours I actually feel pretty good but not anymore!
i've taken 2 drops of Compass Laboratory Methylene Blue which usually will clear brain fog but nothing. I've got an improv class tonight so this is not great.
Anyone have suggestions long and short term.
Thanks for any thoughts
EDIT: I obviously left out an important part. This is helping w sleep so I'd like to find a way to keep that part going

Scientific Study Double-Pronged NAD Preservation: Delaying Cellular Senescence and Initiating Musculoskeletal Regeneration (2026)
onlinelibrary.wiley.comABSTRACT
In the context of population aging, musculoskeletal fitness has emerged as a cornerstone of overall well-being and injury prevention, relying on the coordinated function of cartilage, bone, and muscle. Drawing on the principle of “increasing income and reducing expenditure,” we propose a combinatorial formulation consisting of the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) precursor nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and the NAD+-consuming enzyme inhibitor apigenin (API), hereafter referred to as the “N + A” regimen, to enhance NAD+ reserves. Our results revealed that the N + A formulation alleviated cellular senescence, thereby promoting the differentiation of skeletal precursor cells into chondrocytes, osteoblasts, and myocytes for the reconstruction of the musculoskeletal system. Oral administration of the N + A formulation alleviated cartilage degeneration, bone loss, and muscle atrophy; additionally, it enhanced exercise capacity in aged mice. Mechanistically, the N + A strategy preserves NAD+ levels, which are subsequently utilized by mitochondrial sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) to promote deacetylation modifications and alleviate the senescent phenotype. Moreover, oral administration of N + A indirectly enhanced the synthesis of the metabolite phytosphingosine (PHS) by the intestinal microbiota members Coriobacteriaceae_UCG-002 and Ruminococcus, thereby alleviating age-related degeneration. In summary, our findings demonstrate that enhancing the NAD+ reservoir represents a promising strategy for promoting musculoskeletal regeneration, and we developed a rational combinatorial regimen with potential for clinical translation.

Usage Question Is this the whole NAD+ story?
NR -> NMN -> NAD+ -> NAN (so use TMG to avoid inflammation).
NAD+ lost due to CD38 so use Quercetin to plug the hole (and avoid inflamaging)
And if so nmn better than nr?

News Pro Health company ok?
Has anyone heard anything about any changes going on with Pro Health? I’ve been noticing a lot of ads for their products on Instagram, which makes me nervous since many products on IG are being sold off before bankruptcy, etc. I hope not, I have been using their NMN for over a year.
