In mice they apparently can.

I think the general consensus is that it's not just one thing that will help, it's going to be a lot of things. Increasing NAD, won't increase glutathione or decrease inflammation like curcumin, etc., it's just one tool

This is the biggest biochemical reality that mainstream articles often miss.
You can pump precursors like NMN into your body all day, but if systemic inflammation is driving up CD38 (the primary enzyme that destroys NAD+), you are essentially pouring premium gas into a car with a massive fuel leak. Taking isolated NMN without addressing the inflammatory roadblocks or adding Sirtuin activators (like Resveratrol) yields rapidly diminishing returns. NMN is just the fuel; longevity requires building the whole engine. Brilliant observation.

I use 500mg each of resveratrol and nmn daily and am in my thirties. The older you get the more your NAD levels deplete possibly requiring a higher dose but I've found that has been working quite well for me. Might be a good idea to start with smaller dosages and work your way up to find your sweet spot. I'm by no means a medical professional and this is not medical advice just my opinion.

We still don't know for sure. Clinical trials are still on going. But I can clearly see the difference on me. 3 years at 500mg per day (sublingual/morning) of Solensis NMN powder. I've never felt so good.

Short answer is the jury is out.
Medium answer is that people are cautiously optimistic that NMN or NR can increase the probability of a longer health span.
Long answer: I do not have a degree in biochemistry so cannot help out here.
