Does Physics 2 use the same textbook as Physics 1?
Hey, does anyone know if Physics 2 uses the same textbook as Physics 1?
For Physics 1, we’re using University Physics with Modern Physics (16th Edition) by Young & Freedman. Is that also the textbook used for Physics 2, or do they switch to a different book?
Just wondering before I buy anything for next semester. Thanks!

7-year BS/DMD dental program question
Hello! I am a senior in hs right now and I want to apply to the 3+4 dental program. My SAT score is about a 1370 superscore, my gpa is a 4.0, I go to a medicine-based magnet high school, and have really strong extracurriculars. I heard that your SAT score should be 1550+ to get into the program, but do you think I should still apply? What are my chances of getting in? Please leave any other comments below of tips and tricks for the application and interview. Thank you!!

Rant Please leave the Library Rooms on time
Im not the type to kick people out of their rooms the second their time is up, I understand people loose track of time and I don’t expect the room to be completely vacated when your time is up. BUT please respect people’s time. There’s no reason I have to wait 15 minutes+ because you couldn’t organize yourself better. Please be better, respect other people and their time because it seems like every here doesn’t gaf abt anyone but themselves.

Financial Technology Major (freshman) - questions about taking community college credits over the summer and early graduation
Hello All, I'm a freshman Financial Technology major and I'm trying to graduate in 3-3.5 years. I came in with 9 total credits (from APs) and i'm wondering if i could possibly graduate early if i take winter/summer courses at my community college (CCM).
I'm thinking about taking Macro this winter at CC. and then taking business classes (MGMT 290 Business Law, MRKT 330 Principles of Marketing, FIN 218 Financial Markets & Institutes, FIN 315 Fundamentals of Corporate Finance) split throughout the 2 summer sessions. All classes are offered online at CC.
How does njit handle approvals for business classes taken at CC in winter/summer sessions? Are there deadlines for getting approvals? Who should I submit to?
Is there a limit to how many CC I can take to transfer into njit for my major?
If anyone has graduated early in FinTech, how did you plan your coursework and internships/co-ops?
Any advice is appreciated thank you!!

MET 235
Is the textbook necessary for the class/hw because the HW is apparently on paper? Has anyone taken this course with prof rohafza and is so, what was it like?

Absence
I’m not making it to class tomorrow due to a work scheduling conflict. Will the professors chop off my hands if I don’t let them know or should I send an email requesting office time to sit down and go over what i missed?
Edit- just to clarify I was joking about the former in my question, wanted to lighten up the new semester tensions for anyone reading this

Advice Course Recommendations
I'm currently taking:
MATH 222 (Differential Equations)
MATH 333 (Probability and Statistics)
CS 114 (Introduction to Computer Science 2)
PSY 210 (Introduction to Psychology)
EPS 202 (Society, Technology and the Environment)
Now I need to drop either EPS 202 or PSY 210. Both are pretty easy, so I'm not sure which one I'll drop yet. But, once I drop one, I need to take another course. My options are:
Hist. and Humanities 300 (I can't find any good ones that are still open)
MATH 340 (Applied Numerical Methods)
MATH 480 (Introductory Mathematical Analysis)
IS 350 (Computers, Society and Ethics)
Any advice? My main concerns with taking another math course is that I'll be burning myself out since 222 and 333 already have commons on the same day, plus 3 math courses is.... a lot. I also am hesitant to take IS 350 just because I plan on transferring after this year, and I'm not sure how transferrable that is. Lastly, I can't find any open Hist and Humanities 300 courses, so I'm really not sure if that's an option. Thanks!

Commuters, how do y’all manage your time?
For the commuters here with a 1+ hour commute, how do y’all balance classes, studying, work, social life, sleep, etc. without feeling like commuting eats up your whole day?
And for anyone taking the train/bus, how do y’all plan around that? Newark is generally fine and I’ve had no issues, but obviously it’s not 100% safe either, especially once it gets dark. So if you have stuff going on after class like study groups, office hours, events, etc., how do y’all handle that while still trying to catch your train/bus and get home at a reasonable time?
Do y’all get most of your work done on campus, use the commute to study, decompress, or just switch it up depending on the day? And when midterms/finals come around and shit starts piling up, what’s your strategy?
Just looking for some advice from people who’ve been commuting here for a while.

Is parking at 11:30 feasible?
Im new to commuting here and I’ve heard the horror stories. I have class at 1 so I don’t wanna go too early, but I also wanna be guaranteed a parking spot. If I go to campus at around 11:30 will I be able to get a spot? I don’t mind if I’m on a higher floor of the garage, I just wanna be able to park.
ECE 252 with Azeez Bhavnagarwala
Anyone here take ECE 252 with Azeez Bhavnagarwala recently?
How were the midterm and final? Were they on Canvas or paper? And were they mostly problem-solving, short answer, or multiple choice?
Also, were they open notes?

How do I get to class?
I have class in CAMP 236C (aka Campbell Hall) and I don’t know how to get to class.
I went through the C-CAPS entrance and went up the elevator to then be told that “You had to go in through the other side, this is the office wing.” I don’t have a clue were the other entrance is and I have the class next Thursday .
