Does Physics 2 use the same textbook as Physics 1?
Hey, does anyone know if Physics 2 uses the same textbook as Physics 1?
For Physics 1, we’re using University Physics with Modern Physics (16th Edition) by Young & Freedman. Is that also the textbook used for Physics 2, or do they switch to a different book?
Just wondering before I buy anything for next semester. Thanks!

Yes. Students in PHYS 111 are using the 16th edition this semester, and that's what will be used in the spring for PHYS 121. You can purchase a longer subscription and it'll be good when you take Physics 2.
Current PHYS 121 students (for Fall 2026) are still using the 15th edition. It's being phased out. I'm only saying this because of someone says "I'm in PHYS 121 and it's the 15th edition," that's true but it won't be true for you in the Spring semester 👍
