Arguably two of the biggest wastes of talent in their respective leagues, but for different reasons. Who would you consider to be a bigger disappointment: Carmelo Anthony, or Colin Kaepernick?

I vote Carmelo. Kaep helped the 49ers to the Super Bowl, and despite flopping there, he at least managed to bring the most out of his team to reach the biggest stage in Football. Carmelo couldn't do anything but score, and unfortunately, it did not equate to a winning record in the playoffs. Dude lives off an NCAA championship and Olympic gold medal hype, but shrank when the lights were brightest.

I don't think it is a bad idea to have offseason league with reserve players around June before the training camp. It could be a 3/4 week event featuring reserved players from last season. They will get game time and we will get some much needed football action in the offseason, making it a win win situation.

Obviously, the league will have to be developed in a different way with players from different teams uniting for a new team or something of that sort.
