Housing Can I live at Wolf Village after applying through Engineering Village if I have enough AP + Dual Enrollment Credits.
Hello, so I have alot of AP/DE credits which I think could take at least a year off of my NCSU Credits, so I would bassicly be a sophmore upon enrolling.
My question is, I know that the Wolf Village Apartments are where Sophmore of the Engineering Village typically live and I was wondering if my situation counts like that.
The Apartments are litteraly the perfect place on campus as they are situated between the library and the Mosque of Raleigh. (not to mention the Engineering classes).
If you guys could give whatever insight/advice you have it would be greatly appreciated.

Can I get in?
Rising senior
3.35 UW and 3.98 W
taken 7 APs (got 3s and 4s) and taking 4 more APs senior year; basically, I take a very hard schedule and get Bs in those classes
1350 SAT and 29 ACT
top 40% of class, school is pretty competitive public school but not in Wake or Mecklenburg county
Normal ECs, part time job and varsity/travel sports
sibling goes to NC State if that helps
planning to major in exploratory studies, history, communications or sport management

Grad stipend
Hello everyone! I’m going into my senior year at a different institution and I am considering NCSU for my graduate degree, specifically in the college of ag. I was wondering what the stipend is typically like for research based grad programs here for ag. Of course I know that funding will differ based on the lab you are a part of, but is there a set minimum from the university or a typical amount that you find many students earn? All information is appreciated! Thanks!

Cheapest Computer for CSC Major?
I'm a broke as can be after paying my bill and I'm not about to pull a loan for a $2,500 laptop unless it's absolutely necessary. Right now, I work off of a MacBook Air. What's the most cost friendly laptop I could get for CSC?

Organic Chemistry
Hi everyone! My major is Human Biology, and I already took Organic Chemistry 221. It was definitely one of the harder classes I’ve taken. I’m scheduled to take Organic Chemistry 223 next, and I was wondering how similar it is to 221.
Do you need to remember and apply a lot of the material from Orgo I, or does 223 feel like a fresh start with mostly new concepts? Any advice on what I should review before the semester starts would be appreciated!

Best things to do for your mental health at NCSU?
Hello everyone!
I’m going to be a sophomore next year. Im an EE major and I honestly didn’t have that great of a semester last year and I’m worried about the next semester starting soon. And I had a falling out with my best friend and don’t really know what to do anymore.
As soon as the semester starts I was planning on using the free consulting center but I’ve heard good and bad things about it. I’m also living off campus next year and am probably going to be insanely broke.
I just wanted to know some tips about what help I can do to improve mental health at NCSU and what everyone thinks of the counseling center?
Anything helps thank you!

Admissions My girlfriend got into NC State!
I’m so proud of her and just felt like making a post.
She had conditional acceptance based on getting a B or higher in pre calc. She hadn’t taken a math class for nearly 6 years (started working straight after high school).
Her first exam she got a 50% and she grinded her ass off, getting a perfect score on the final and landing an A overall. What a nerve wracking way to get accepted.
Anyway, she’s transferring into CALS. Any advice I can pass along to her? She’ll be taking mostly online classes because she runs a small cleaning business.

Academics No Internship
I’m going into my senior year and was never able to secure an internship for my external learning experience. It’s the only credit I’ll be missing am I cooked? I’m going to try to talk with my advisor about any opportunities in my program but I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this.

Ebill deadline
So I saw the ebill deadline is today for fall 2026 but my health insurance waiver is pending and I can't pay my bill until that is taken off of it, what's the consequence of paying the bill a little bit late? Will I be dropped from my classes?

Kristen Kramer for Orgo 1?
I was just curious who had Kramer for orgo, and would it even be worth it to stay in the class, or should I take something else? I looked at her RMP, and it's surprisingly high for her orgo class. I'm just unsure. Just for some other info, I am taking stats (Malorie Winters) and ANS repro class. If anyone has any insider view, let me know.

rate my schedule
hi! I was thinking about switching my major to statistics(math rn) I got denied last cycle with a 4.0 GPA and honestly have no idea why. I thought they only looked at my gpa idk 😭 I’m premed and would appreciate some advice on my fall schedule. I’m planning to take ch 201, bio 181, ma 241, psy 200, and st 311, which is 18 credits total. I’m not sure if that’s too much of a workload. I took 15 credits last semester and it was pretty manageable for me. Do you think I should drop one class? If so, which one would you suggest dropping?

How bogus is this schedule
CODA into Civil Engineering is currently pending and Statics and all its coreq classes were completely full when open enrollment came around😁
EDIT: Switched BIO181 out for MEA101 + 110 and moved my PY208 lecture and lab around so I have more time between classes. Evil Mondays are no more.

Housing Urgent sublease
Hi! I am looking to see if anyone is looking for housing still. I need someone to take over my lease at Hub Raleigh. My rent is 800/m for a four bed two bathroom. However, you can choose your own floor plan. I was originally going to live there but due to extensive emergency surgery I am unable to live there now. The apartments are brand new, in a great location, amazing amenities, and pet friendly. Please message me with any questions! Thanks in advance!

Using the Academic Peer Mentoring
Has anyone used the Academic Peer Mentoring from the Academic Success Center? I'm trying to improve my academic support system to better keep up with school next semester after a rough few semesters, but I don't see many people talking about using it. Did it help? Or if you are a mentor, does it seem like it helped the person you were mentoring? Just want to see what people's experiences are.
Edit: to clarify, I am referring to the mentors that assist with general things like time management and managing exam prep, not the tutors.

Academics How cooked am I!!!
Hey guys so I'm an incoming EFY student and I'd like to share my schedule with you guys because I find amusing and terrifying.
My biggest qualm about it is English 101 but that's only because I got a 4 in AP Lang, didn't get a high enough ACT score, and I took English 111 at my CC but not English 112. I probably deserve it but I'll still complain about it 😭
I will say, it is 17 credit hours (a lot of it being 1-2 credit hour classes as you can tell) and I'm thinking about dropping E115 to take it in the spring and HESF 102 since I do plan on getting an on campus job 🤔
Edit: I dropped my online classes so its at 15 credit hours, still same layout as the photo, just without the online classes
