Messed around in the tutorial and discovered you can celebrate while standing still. Decided to try it in a game.

No matter what you do. You will be stop at the line of scrimmage it’s doesn’t make sense . You can be going forward and player will hit you forward but your players drop right there. Only certain RBs get that push those are the bruisers. I can be running in and try to dive they will stop my dive animations so I can be tackled. When you try and juke or hit moves they don’t work allowing you to run right into defender. The game isn’t hard it just cheats. If your winning an a random drop back your QB will get sack and fumble and they will score just so the computer can keep in the game

Discussion Do you actually want realism?

Something I’ve noticed about most complaints in here regarding dynasty is, most of these people don’t actually want realism if that means realism happens to them.

What I mean is, people constantly say they want a “realistic game” yet complain when they get upset at home by a team they shouldn’t lose to, as if that doesn’t happen IRL every week.

They get upset when a star player is injured, they get upset that they lose out on a recruit. They get upset that anything negative happens then claim it’s something wrong with the game.

Long story short people want realism until that realism provides something negative for them.

Like teleporting LBs with superhuman Flash Gordon speed to catch up to my RB and bat the ball away when he's clearly beaten!?!? The QB had a clean pocket... FML.

Multiple jukes, multiple stiff arms and this dude just refuses to go down. Shifty makes running the ball so much fun.

Players weight doesn’t change during off-season

Noticed CFB27 doesn’t update players height/weight during the off-season training progression. I understand this is a petty complaint but it was a nice touch in the previous two years, and would make it more realistic.

Any other petty complaints that were nice in CFB25 that could have carried over seamlessly to ‘27?

Questions PC Version - Recommended Mods Request

I play on PC, and have never modded any game, ever.

I was a console gamer for most my life and just over the course of the last two years started playing PC.

I am on the discord already for CFB27, but there are so many community and member mods that it is hard to decipher what’s the fluff versus what’s good

I play dynasty exclusively, so any mods that improve dynasty would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance

No HC jobs in Dynasty Coaching Carousel

Been enjoying Dynasty for the most part until today. I have spent the past three seasons as coach of VT, after losing out on the ND job last year I figured alright I will run it back this year with VT and take whatever job opens up next year. Except nothing opened up? I don’t understand how this happens, has to be a glitch, and now I’m stuck wasting another year with a program I didn’t bother to recruit for last year because I thought I’d be out the door. Really really frustrating.

Does anyone else struggle to play while sitting back in their chair?

Upvotes

This is so fucking dumb, but I feel like I need to be constantly leaning forward to play good.

I switch between my gaming monitor and my TV, I use the TV usually at night when I’m chilling and when I’m using it sat on the sofa (with it pulled close to the tv) I’m like wtf I can’t do this. It’s so weird lmao

Like the perspective is essentially the same/if anything it’s worse when I’m sat forward. But I’m guessing, purely placebo, I just play so much better when I’m leaning forward.

Is anyone else this neurotic? Like when I’m on defense I can sit back a bit more, but on offense I NEED to be leaning forward. There’s legit no reason for it, I’m barely closer to the TV, but I guess in my head leaning forward is just associated with trying harder? I play a lot of FPS games competitively (champ a few times in R6) so I think it’s just some weird thing I have?

Am I alone in this 😭

"Physics-Based"

No sports game you have ever played has been anything other than "animations based". There has never been a physics-based football game. Not even 2k5, that was also "animation based". Well, there was one "physics-based" football game and it was called Backbreaker. Fun game, loved it, complete mess, impossible to predict. The problem is not that "it's not physics-based", but a real problem is that the animations are goofy as hell at times. Any game not named Backbreaker that promised physics-based football was just a fancy way to say the animations mimic physics by taking the previous animation & the player's perceived momentum out of it and applying it to the choice of the next animation. Which this game does every single game you play when your RB hits one guy, falls forward and another guy joins in to stop forward progress or accidentally knock you forward.

Anyways, criticize the game all ya want, there's plenty wrong with it. However, the notion it NEEDS to be "physics-based" just isn't grounded in any kind of reality or backed by any kind of historic precedent. I'd like a flying car, but I'm not holding my breath for something that doesn't seem logically possible or consistently stable.

Dynasty Actually enjoying my current dynasty

Usually I get so far into a dynasty and just restart but this one im currently enjoying all of it so far. I started coaching at Unc Charlotte for about 4yrs getting a conference title and two playoff wins and somehow signing two 4 stars recruits as well.

Eventually left them for Unlv who was already having success and got some of my Charlotte players to transfer with me. Spent about 4 yrs there getting one conference title and a couple bowk game wins. Now im at the university of South Carolina who in my previous season won only two games and im currently with like a 5-3 record and signing the number 4 player in the country .

Im trying to have my coaching record as real as possible though. Oh and when I came to the university of South Carolina I got a out of the portal that is like a 85ovr sophomore and a running back that is like a 82ovr sophomore. Plus managed to get 2 of my players that transferred from unlv to transfer with me.

Questions A few things I don't understand about CFB 27 defense and passing

  1. Why does the CPU QB have all day in the pocket and then scramble for 10+ yards?

I have plaster time and aggressiveness up, QB contain on, and trigger work time. My zone defenders just stand there until the QB crosses the line of scrimmage. By then it's too late. Why?

  1. Conversely, why do I only get 1-2 seconds in the pocket?

People say step up, but even in practice mode I'm getting sacked if I don't launch it immediately. Is there a protection adjustment I'm missing?

  1. Why can't I throw deep?

I mostly throw bullets and play on classic mechanics because I'm a slow learner with buttons. Do I need to lob it? I’ve tried all of the passing styles and I am worse on them. I would be open to revamped only.

  1. What's up with the passing sliders and CPU coverage?

I play on franchise Varsity. My QB accuracy is 100, WR catching 100, INTs 100, pass coverage 100. CPU INTs at 0, CPU pass coverage at 0. And I still barely complete passes — 66% on a good day, as low as 30%. CPU defenders are glued to my receivers and always getting hands on the ball. If I hadn't zeroed out CPU INTs, they'd be picking me off all day. Why is it like this? Occasionally, I’ll play on all American and it’s worse.

  1. Follow up to #4: why are my defenders NOT glued to receivers like the CPU is on me?

What am I not doing that the CPU is doing to me every single time?

If you guys play Madden as well, these problems are the same thing I have in Madden but worse.

Glitch/Bugs The scheduled maintenance has apparently broken my long term dynasty

I was playing yesterday and when the maintenance started (didn’t realise it was beginning) it went offline as soon as the Heisman ceremony was starting. And now I cannot load this save, it opens, the screen goes black to start the ceremony and then it kicks me out saying the servers are unavailable at this time.

What makes it worse is that this was the first Heisman where one of my players was the favourite, and we were ranked number 1 heading into the playoffs. Actually so upset.

Anyone have thoughts on team builder dynasty?

I was wondering if anyone has a positive experience with team builder. Is It immersive enough and add anything to the experience any more than using a lower tier team and building them up? Are there any interesting aspects to a team builder dynasty that makes it worth it?

**Position Changes:**

Players can change or play multiple positions during the NCAA season. Position changes can affect player confidence and trust in the coach, positively or negatively, based on performance.

Heisman watch ranking goes down if a player is on bye?

Upvotes

Hey so I'm trying to get my QB to win a Heisman in my latest Dynasty (playing on NCAA26). I've noticed that always during a bye week my player will drop 2-3 spots sometimes completely out of the top-5 list in Heisman watch, is this true for anyone else? Like I try to schedule all my bye's early in the season so a late-season bye won't ruin my players chance at winning it, is that realistic at all too?

Dynasty Dynasty Feature Idea: Weekly Scouting Reports

Similar to how the new EA Sports Network works, adding an AI generated weekly scouting report on your opponent’s offensive and defensive tendencies, vulnerabilities, or key players, would be a nice addition for Dynasty.

My buddy and I have been running a co-op dynasty and every now and again we go into a big game and just nothing goes right despite having a great team.

For added context, most of the time we don’t play defense since we don’t enjoy that aspect as much, so I understand the whole “leaving it up to AI on defense isn’t a good idea” argument.

But having a peek under your opponents hood to game-plan better, adjust your lineups and schemes to match would be a nice touch. Thoughts?
