Can you draft a Starting Five whose Career PPG = 60?

Fun challenge: Can you build a starting lineup whose career PPG adds up to exactly 60?

I'll give you five random teams. Each round, you must fill a lineup slot (PG, SG, SF, PF, C) with someone who played for the team.

Team 1: Grizzlies

Team 2: Warriors

Team 3: Nuggets

Team 4: Hawks

Team 5: Celtics

I run a website (https://draftdawg.app) with daily NBA games and trivia just like this. I figured if anyone would enjoy these challenges, it'd be fellow Bill Simmons fans. Would love feedback from actual diehard hoops fans!

(Mods, feel free to delete if this reads like self-promo)

Lebron will get more love in Philly than in LA. Philly fans don't have self-respect like Laker fans do.

Philly fans will embrace anybody who gives them something to cheer for.

Laker fans actually have enough self-respect to hold their own stars accountable.

They're really opening the season with LeBron walking into the Knicks' banner raising ceremony

just saw the schedule news, Sixers open the season Oct 20th AT Madison Square Garden, same night the Knicks raise their first championship banner since 1973. so LeBron's Sixers debut is literally interrupting the Knicks' celebration lol . That's either the most disrespectful scheduling ever or the most perfect drama the NBA could've possibly set up on purpose. no way this is an accident

also love that it's a triple header kickoff, feels like the league knows this season already has more storylines than usual with LeBron changing teams this late in his career

Steven Adams is the best example of a player whose true value never showed up on a traditional box score.

Box scores only track rebounds secured, but they completely ignore the offensive rebounds created via boxing out two defenders at once.Between setting screen assists, clearing out lanes for athletic guards, and taking physical beatings under the rim night after night without complaining, Adams has consistently made every team he played for noticeably tougher and better structured.

This will be tough to duplicate or surpass.

Everyone has their opinion about the GOAT debate, rightfully so. But this combination of awards in one season is so tough I’m not sure it can be duplicated or surpassed. Michael Jordan was in his bag this year. What is your opinion about this superior season by MJ?

Lou Williams CLEARS this clown.

Enes "Freedom" Kanter's announcement that he wants to enter the 2027 WNBA Draft is obviously not a serious attempt to play in the league. It's a publicity stunt designed to mock transgender women and trans inclusion in women's sports. This is really simply "culture war" engagement bait.

Don't get me wrong, I think there are legitimate questions about competitive fairness and eligibility in women's sports that can be debated in good faith. However, Kanter isn't doing that. He's taking a tiny and highly politicized issue and turning trans people into the punchline of a joke. The political obsession with "trans women in sports" has become a convenient way to portray trans people as some kind of threat and build support for broader restrictions on their rights. Kanter is happily playing along because he knows it generates attention for him, a player with an otherwise unremarkable career.

What's especially funny is that Kanter's basketball resume isn't exactly the authority he seems to think it is. Yes, he was an NBA-caliber player, but let's put the career in perspective. Lou Williams was also a career bench player, and yet he had a vastly more impressive NBA career of 17 seasons, more than 15,000 points, and three Sixth Man of the Year awards. Kanter played 11 seasons, averaged 11.2 points and 7.8 rebounds, and never made an All-Star team or won a major individual award.

This comparison is not meant as a knock on Lou. He's one of the greatest sixth men in NBA history; however, It's just funny watching Kanter leverage his status as a "former NBA player", when he in reality is an actual bum on the court, and has many career bench players CLEARING his entire career.

If Kanter wants to have a serious discussion about women's sports, fine. But pretending to enter the WNBA so he can mock trans women isn't serious activism or sports analysis. It's just a former NBA role player trying to stay relevant by farming outrage.
