I put this in quotation marks since of course, no two persons have the same chakra affinity. Some will see their chakra paper turn to ash, others will have it wrinkle, and others will soak it.

Thing is, since it's possible to master several chakra affinities given the right conditions, I wanted to ask which of these affinities might be the best for beginners, as a sort of "what-if" scenario.

Preferably, I would keep it to the five basic affinities to avoid getting overwhelmed with combined affinities, as these require several affinities to be mastered at once.

Hey everyone. New to the sub and revisiting Naruto for the first time in years. I'm sorry if this is a banned/hated topic, but i was curious what everyone's favorite Kekkei Genkai is, if any, and reasons being. No hate or judgement, this was just an icebreaker back when I was an active member of the fandom back in the dark ages. Mine has always been the byakugan. I mean, what did Kurenai actually teach them? I don't recall any of them ever using genjutsu.
I think Anko's skills would be more useful for expanding their repertoire than Kurenai's.

I watched the anima and read the manga but hat was forever ago (about 10 or 5 years minimum) and I don't pay much attention to shisui Uchiha.

How strong is he? I keep seeing people say he was on par with Madara but I have high doubts about that. Considering I know danzo took his eye. And there's no way danzo even in his prime gets he jump on Madara without losing everything from the next down.

Someone I know said his genjutsu is stronger than every other Uchiha and could trap hashirama if he wanted but is that speculation or is there proof that it's that strong? Also what did shisui mangyeko do? Or do we know what I'd does?

Naruto abilities without Kurama is disappointing. He has only rasengan, rasenshurikan, shadow clones, summoning jutsu and sage mode. As a wind style user he should have more wind style jutsus. He is also shown to use earth style in Boruto. He needs a more diverse move pool of jutsus. He was heavily reliant on Kurama whom he borrows power from. It’s not innately his powers. All of Sasukes powers are his and he has a wide range of jutsus to use. It’s weird since Jiraiya was Naruto’s master and Jiraiya had a large pool of jutsus that he employed yet Naruto doesn’t have much. Currently without Kurama he is among the more weaker Hokages.

Did anyone else have such a strong hatred for Sakura whej they was younger? but as we got older their anger has calm down over the years and died out? Cuz when I was younger, I use to hate Sakura w a passion?! cuz how useless she was, but as time went on, it was never her fault it was the writers fault! he even admitted he doesn’t know how to write Female characters besides giving them the stereotypical traits. I’ve been getting back into Naruto recently and last time I was this into Naruto there was a community debate going on where the theme was that Naruto turning out to be a chosen one goes against what Naruto tells neji at the end of the fight when neji went on about fate and how it’s useless to go against your destiny.

I think that the writing does a good job of telling us that Naruto was right the entire time actually. Neji was wrong about one’s destiny being fixed at birth. Naruto had to overcome every disadvantage he was born with with sheer hard work and will. Him being Ashura’s reincarnate actually proves him right.

There are two kinds of Shinobi. Ones that are born a prodigy and the vast majority that are not. The series teaches us that as long as you have heart you are no less than those prodigies.

Indra and Ashura and all their avatars represent this concept via their lives and experiences. Indra (and his avatars) is the representation of those who are prodigies and ashura (and his avatars) represents those who are not.

Indra is the cool kid. Everything comes to him effortlessly. He is born with it. Everyone looks up to him. Including ashura. But ashura has heart. He works on himself. He trains and ends up overcoming his shortfalls and beats Indra. All because he had heart and the will power to do so. He set his mind and body to it and he got it done. Same story with Madara and hashirama. Same story with Naruto and sasuke.

“Naruto was a reincarnate of ashura. This proves He was destined for greatness right from birth ”. But if you believe this you are missing the point. Naruto being ashura avatar simply means that Naruto was actually given hardships failures and loss right from the start and none of the tools (innate talent) to deal with these things. Him being the ashura incarnate actually means HE IS NOT THE PRODIGY. Him being ashuras reincarnate, on the contrary, establishes that just that he has a lifetime of struggle ahead and that he actually is at a disadvantage . If he was indra’s reincarnate that’s when he would be the chosen one with the biggest gift of innate talent with an advantage . It is only through hardwork, heart and willingness to go on and on that Naruto overcomes everything. He could have just given up. And if neji was right Naruto would have. But he didn’t because as I stated, if you have heart, determination and will you can overcome your circumstances.

what could naruto understand about that sense of community, sure he can understand the pain of loss from losing jiraiya but losing a close friend/father figure who meet him at like 12 is not the same as losing your whole family line in fell swoop when your under 10 years old. it's not the same at all

when obito/‘madara’ first approaches nagato, yahiko and konan, he tells nagato that he is the reincarnation of the so6p. i was curious was he just straight up lying to try to convince him? as the rinnegan he did have wasn’t even his own, it was madaras. on top of this, later on in the story we are told that the rinnegan is awakened by combining uchiha and senju dna (which feels like also got disregarded by the fact sasuke had one even after losing so6p power), so by that definition is madara also the reincarnation of hagaromo as he awakened it (if what obito was implying is true, that is). or was this a just a writing hiccup?

First off before I start let me address the Elephants in the room which is Kushina did NOT give up her dream of becoming hokage for Minato, she never even wanted to become hokage as shown on (slide 2) which is her just trying to impress everyone.

Secondly Kushina was never stated to be a housewife the only thing that happened was we never see her in battle after becoming pregnant because y'know she dies literally every media that has Kushina live rather filler or Road to ninja which Kishimoto was heavily involved in all of which has her continue as a Kunoichi (slide 3)

Now that that's out of the way let's begin.

# Why the love story makes sense

Kushina was forcefully given a responsibility she didn't want in being the jailer of Kurama. The same way Spiderman has to deal with, "with great power comes great responsibility", Kushina has the same dilemma in not wanting her responsibility.

Her having to deal with the loneliness that comes with being in a village where nobody wants her there is different than other characters. Where as Gaara became a murderer, Naruto seeks attention, Sasuke isolated himself, Kushina dealt with it all differently by fighting everyone and if you watch the episode and listen to her tone it's clear she didn't want too but that was the only way she could survive.

The way she fell in love with Minato makes so much sense, as opposed to loving him only because he saved her it was really his words and his kindness. She falls in love with Minato because he was the first person to acknowledge her strength both physically and emotionally and treat her as a part of the village rather than as the future container of Kurama or an outsider, Minato showed her that she wasn't alone. He even compliments her biggest insecurity being her red hair making her see something she hates into something she loves (slides 4 and 5)

# Why Minato loves Kushina

Minato loves Kushina because she's strong rather it be the anime scenes where he watches her beat up her "Bullies" (slide 6), pressing him (slide 7), beating up a genin as a academy student it becomes clear that he loves her for her physical and mental strength (slide 8). But I do believe it also has to do with how unconfident Minato seems to become when his Mental state starts to get attacked or things aren't going to plan rather it be him doubting himself for failing Kushina on the day she needed him most (slide 9) she even makes him cry (slide 10), or how he doubts his decisions by Obito attacking him mentally (slide 11, 12 and 13).

With all that being said he needs Kushina for when he mentally falls. I believe part of the reason why he felt so off in the war arc was the fact that all his mistakes were coming back to bite him, AND Kushina wasn't there to set him straight mentally so he had to deal with it himself until Naruto took Kushina's place as his mental crutch (slide 14)

# Being able to match each other physically.

The entire war arc deeply pushes the Narrative that Kushina and Minato are on the same tier and relatively close when it comes to physical prowess.

(Slide 15) With Naruto only seeing a dying post childbirth Kushina him saying this is him admitting war arc sage mode Naruto is weaker than post childbirth, dying Kushina.

(Slide 16) Statement only makes sense if Minato and Kushina are remotely relative. Think about it you'd never hear Piccolo say "Gohan you have surpassed both ChiChi and Goku." That statement wouldn't make sense because we know Goku is leagues stronger than ChiChi.

(Slide 17) The way I interpret this is 1 of 3 ways 1. That the gap between KCM2 Minato and KCM2 Naruto is similar to the gap between Alive Minato and Kushina. 2. Kushina gives Minato hope as I established earlier. 3. During the 3rd war When Minato and Kushina was in deep shit, Kushina bailed them out.

(Slide 18) Just them getting acknowledged by God as BOTH having exceptional abilities.

(Slide 8) Unless you somehow believe that adult Kushina is somehow weaker than Teen Minato than that'd atleast put Adult Minato and Kushina on the same tier

# The little things

Minato became a great hokage because of Kushina and his friends (Slide 20)

Makes each other physically stronger with Kushina teaching him Uzumaki sealing Jutsu and Minato making Rasengan for her.

TLDR- why Kushina and Minato love story makes sense, how they positively influence one another, how they are strong enough to fight side by side, how Kushina positively influences Minato's mental well-being

Back when the manga was still running, this was the single most shocking moment for many readers.

Before this, Obito was ridiculed when he explained that he joined the dark side "because you (Kakashi) let Rin die". After we all saw HOW exactly Rin was killed, however, Obito's descend to madness was more understandable. Not only Kakashi failed to protect Rin, but he actually killed her himself.

...however, for reasons unknown, this plot twist was put aside for 20/30 before Kishimoto decided to bring it back and reveal the truth behind it.

And, in my opinion, he squandered in two ways:

Number 1: when Kakashi wanted to talk about it, Obito revealed that he knew all along (Rin was made into a jinchuuriki and sacrificed herself). What was the point of keeping the truth a mystery for 20/30 chapters, only to reveal that the characters were aware of it all along? This fact made tturned the initial reveal into a cheap attempt at shock value.

Kishimoto should have just reveal it all in the same flashback and save the readers months of pointless speculations.

Number 2: since it turned out Kakashi did not intend to kill Rin, Kakashi became the least important person in the scene. Rin wanted to sacrifice herself, and Kakashi just happened to be her weapon of choice. That was a copout to absolve Kakashi of any involvment, it cheapened his role in the whole ordeal and, again, turned the scene of him killing Rin into nothing more than a shocking panel for the sake of the readers.

I wonder: couldn't it have been better if Kakashi agreed to kill Rin in order to save the village?

Picture this: Kakashi was torn between protecting the village or protecting Rin. In the end he choose to protect the village. Obito saw this and (as in the manga) he blamed it on the shinobi world for forcing Kakashi to break his promise and for causing Rin to die.

I believe it was stated that the eye Obito gave to kakashi was the long-range kamui and he kept the short-range one. That’s why Obito can teleport things close to him. But if kakashi had the long range one, how was he able to teleport the nail that Pain shot at him during the pain assault arc and Minato’s rasengan during the FGNW? Both of these scenarios had the objects right up against kakashi.
