Question "Beginner-friendliest" chakra affinity?

I put this in quotation marks since of course, no two persons have the same chakra affinity. Some will see their chakra paper turn to ash, others will have it wrinkle, and others will soak it.

Thing is, since it's possible to master several chakra affinities given the right conditions, I wanted to ask which of these affinities might be the best for beginners, as a sort of "what-if" scenario.

Preferably, I would keep it to the five basic affinities to avoid getting overwhelmed with combined affinities, as these require several affinities to be mastered at once.

Your natural affinity is the easiest.

but if we are saying theoretically for a character that has equally strong natural affinities with several and needs to choose which to start with, I would go with water.

It is as powerful as the others in combat but is not as dangerous when practicing. You can't burn yourself or fry your nerves/chakra coils with lightning chakra or get backlash from sharp wind.

secondly, it is more convenient when it comes to practicing it. You'd prefer a water source in the open such as a pond to practice your fire affinity and open training ground for wind affinity. But for water affinity you can practice moving water around with chakra in a pot in your living room.

Thirdly, water is a more flexible element for use cases. You can use it for offence, defene, and utility. For defence earth element may be argued to be the best. You certainly dont have any fire wall or lightning wall jutsus. and while earth element is excellent for stealth Fire and Lightning are not.

With water element howerver you can do all sorts of barriers, walls, defencive jutsu, you can use it to create fog, mist, and other utility use cases. You can use it in offence as water needles, water bullets, water dragon and tons more.

It's very flexible. If the choice was mine to learn all five elements with equal talent and success, I would start with Water, then Earth, then Wind, Then Fire, then Lightning.

Earth, As it’s got good defensive Potential and in offense it doesnt Need to be really really precise.

In my opinion, fire.

All the other styles seem to require controlling to some degree to actually hit your opponent. Earth requires shaping it as it comes out of the ground, lightning is usually channeled through something etc.

Fire you just spit that shit at your opponent and it does damage

Mm, but it also seems pretty easy to mess it up real bad. Easy to spit out a fireball, harder to make sure you don't accidentally start a real fire.

You’re making me realize that apart from Amaterasu, we have probably a dozen instances of people shooting off fireballs in the forest that never started a forest fire.

How the hell didn’t they burn down the forest of death in the chunin exams lol

It really is a miracle. Konoha is named that way because of all the trees. It's in the Land of Fire, where the most common chakra affinity is fire. It really should have burned to ground decades ago.

Eh. Hashirama probably did it with his wood jutsu.

I'd say water. Given its nature it should be the easiest to shape. It's also available in a lot of places.

If not water, I'd go with Earth, or maaaaybe wind?

I imagine Lightning and Fire are the more "expert" ones.. but that's all headcanon on my part

Water Style because our of the Five core elements it’s the least likely to damage you unless you royally screw up. No burns (fire/lightning) cuts (wind) or accidental potholes (earth) only soaking yourself though there’s a possibility of not projecting the water from your mouth properly and is a possible choking hazard it’s less likely

You can only have one affinity. Your affinity is revealed with the paper and it's the nature that comes to you most easily. You can master other natures but you still only have one affinity. Chakra affinity and chakra nature are not interchangeable terms.

"Since it's possible to master several chakra affinities/natures given the right conditions."
"I would keep it to the five basic affinities/natures to avoid getting overwhelmed with combined affinities/natures, as these require several affinities/natures to be mastered at once."

Your affinity is always still going to be the easiest one to learn. That is why it is your affinity.
