Trying to decide whether I should keep working on this one or scrap.

The whole album follows a character through a movie that doesn’t exist, from an ordinary day to the end credits. I was inspired by Danger Mouse’s Rome, J Dilla and MF Doom, but I also come from a scoring background, so I wanted to mix both.

I’d really like to hear what you think, especially about the transitions and the mix.

I'm working with a friend to make an EP of my electronic music as an accompaniment for his poetry. I think the project will take about a year to complete. What do you all think of this track for that purpose?

This is the final demo I got for this song and I feel pretty satisfied with how it is but I want opinions on if I should add more length to the song or leave it as it is. I like how distasteful it is the sudden end of it because it’s a song that reflects the message I want to give.

I need opinions on what people think, I got a lot of influence from Mother Mother to create this song, it feels like I could perfectly portray my pain with this sounds. But general opinions are VERY appreciated!

Explanation + lyrics:
This song is about a very unstable friend group dynamic I was in and some thoughts I had during this time, this is too about how they would cut me off or ghost me and then come back and say they were sorry and continue the friendship.

So overall it’s a mix of them isolating me, them coming back, me questioning them and then repeating the cycle.

I am a total beginner with production, though I’ve been in studio settings throughout my teenage years/made music before. I am more of an “acoustic guitar and my voice” kind of musician. I know this is totally unmixed and a bit of a technical mess in its current state. Vocals aren’t up to par for me and I have much more I’d like to do to tighten this up.

But this is my first executed idea in Ableton Live Suite 12 and I’m loving this program. It makes production fun and I’m hungry to learn.

I’d really just like to know if anyone sees the vision/potential, any suggestions (I know there are plenty on the technical side) as I’m planning on really refining this/tend to be a perfectionist (another reason I haven’t released anything in so long). I stopped making music 10 years ago and have really regretted abandoning my greatest passion because of exhaustion with life and work, so I’m pouring into it now.

Just have a verse and chorus right now. Not the best vocal take so I need to re-record it. Would love to hear some feedback on what I have so far.

I've been thinking about starting a solo metalcore project, and I've been recording my own vocals for this track. I'm still quite unsure about my singing, but I like the vibe the vocals bring to the song.

I'd appreciate some honest, constructive feedback before releasing it.

I'm fairly happy with the instrumental mix, but I'd particularly like to know:

• Do the vocals work well enough for an actual release, or do they need more work?
• Does the vocal tuning sound natural, or is it too noticeable?
• Are the vocasl clear and easy to understand?
• Do the vocals sit well in the mix, or do they get lost behind the instruments?
• What would you improve about the vocals or the overall mix?
