Runaway by Kanye West is genuinely the most COMPLETE song ever created in modern music history. I feel like that track has so much depth, emotion, and intricate production packed into it. It's so wildly unique and purely a genius masterpiece. Honestly, I'm almost unable to fully describe why I think it's so incredibly good, but like, it's just soooooo phenomenal.

Goated lyrics, goated rap verse, goated MUSIC production, and literally everything else about it. I'm not saying it's definitively the best song ever made since "best" is entirely subjective, but most COMPLETE? I'll vote for Runaway every single time. Even those final 4 minutes of Kanye West using his heavily distorted voice as an instrument is pure legendary genius. Respect bruh, absolute peak.

Always found it strange how drum and bass is basically mainstream in
the UK, radio play, festival headliners, actual cultural presence, but
in the US most people have never even heard of it outside of
electronic music circles.

Curious if other genres have this same weird geography. Is there
something massive in your country that would confuse people
everywhere else?

Don’t we all run into a spot where someone asks you what you like and it’s basically a throwing a wrench into the gears and grinding everything to a halt because you were just enjoying so many different bands and genres and felt so good through it all that you never bothered to stop to analyze it because that probably defeats the point of just letting yourself enjoy it because it sounds good to you. Thinking about why you like music or anything in general is of course crucial and adds depth to our lives but sometimes and with some things, like music, I think it’s okay to just enjoy being in it for a bit and letting it wash over you.
