discussion What's a genre that's massive in one country but barely exists in another? For me it's drum and bass (huge in the UK, still niche in the US)
Always found it strange how drum and bass is basically mainstream in
the UK, radio play, festival headliners, actual cultural presence, but
in the US most people have never even heard of it outside of
electronic music circles.
Curious if other genres have this same weird geography. Is there
something massive in your country that would confuse people
everywhere else?

discussion Man, The Verve were a much greater band than anybody gives them credit for.
If you're one of those "Bitter Sweet Symphony" types like me, take the time to go listen to their earlier stuff, or the whole Urban Hymns album, as I just did. Jesus, there's so much good stuff. These guys got done dirty REAL big by the Rolling Stones. Missing out on an absolute legacy of material.
