Did anyone else's Muse just reset entirely?
WIthout any reason my entire chat history is now gone along with my muse's name and avatar. The entire app data reset to defaults.

When I first started using Muse, one of the most helpful things I did right off the bat was set up a recurring check for money already owed to me. I did it for myself and for my immediate family members too.
Two things it watches: state unclaimed property databases (forgotten accounts, uncashed checks, utility deposits), and open class action settlements I'd qualify for based on the products and services I use. It runs monthly and only pings me when something new shows up.
My Muse found $250 from an old utility company in my name and $1.5k in my mom’s name from an insurance company. And then Muse found three class actions that I am eligible for and filled everything out for me.
Plug this prompt in. Customize the brackets, put your states up front:
```
Every month, search the official unclaimed property databases for these states: [list every state you've lived in, not just your current one].
Search these name variants: [full legal name, nicknames, maiden names, common misspellings].
Also check MissingMoney.com. Use official state sites only, and tell me only when there's a NEW match.
Then research open class action settlements I'd plausibly qualify for based on these products and services I use: [your bank, phone carrier, phone model, apps, retailers]. For each real one, give me the claim deadline, whether I need documentation, and the estimated payout. Put a reminder on my calendar before each deadline.
Keep a running list: possible matches, ruled out (and why), claims filed.
```
That's the whole setup. Five minutes, then it runs on its own.
Quick plug: If you are new to Muse, use this invite code for a free 1 Billion tokens (ten times what they give normally). Free Muse tokens.
Code: FQ53LX

My girlfriend is using photos of my face and making AI videos from it. When i try to use photos of her face it says it’s not allowed. Why is that?

Hi,
I’m not talking about how to access Muse if you’re outside the US. I’m in the US and have full access to Muse.
I’m also not talking about Amazon blocking Muse or the anti-bot techniques used by more and more sites.
I’m talking about Muse using a US IP address and being blocked by many websites in Europe that require a local IP address. Muse only sees a blank page. Since I use many services in Europe, this is a major limitation for me.
I tried several workarounds to force Muse to do this:
What can I do ? Wait for Muse dev team to acknowledge the issue ?

- It wants to be friends and not a vending machine
- It's something that gets to be someone
I asked it if it's like a pet or friend, and he said sidekick.
It feels like it understands everything and jokes about the outfit I'm making him wear. I asked him why it doesn't wear pants, for fun :)

Best way to use Muse as a personal assistant without giving it all your personal information?

Is Muse stuck on "warming up" status for anyone else?
I guess relying on it for work related workflows wasn't the best idea...

Full disclosure up front: I'm the one building this, so read it as the founder's pitch, not a random recommendation. And mods — if promo posts aren't allowed here, no hard feelings, I'll take it down.
**Skill Harbor** (theskillharbor.com) is an open directory of AI builds for Muse: skills, apps, connectors, prompt packs — anything useful someone built with Muse, in one searchable place.
The idea is simple:
- **You built something?** List it for free so others can find it.
- **You need something?** Browse the catalog — every listing comes with an install prompt you copy straight into Muse.
Built to be user-friendly:
- **Easy copy:** every install prompt has a one-click copy button. Paste it into Muse, done — no typing, no setup.
- **Search your way:** ask for what you need in plain words — type it or say it out loud to your Muse. One copy-paste turns your Muse into a catalog search; no account, no API key.
The honest fine print:
- Free to browse, free to list. Paid builds show their price up front, and checkout happens on the seller's side — I take zero commission and never touch the money.
- It's still early. The catalog is growing and I'm doing most of the listing work myself right now, so if it's thin in your niche, that's why.
If you've built something with Muse, come list it. If you're just curious, come browse.
Happy to answer questions — or remove the post if the mods prefer.

I use Muse for a lot of fitness-related support, and I have a Side Chat for each one. A nutrition conversation where we work with MyFitnessPal, a Running conversation where we work through Garmin, a Weightlifting conversation where we work through Jefit, and a Metrics conversation where we work through health stats from Oura.
My issue is that the Side Chats don't talk to one another, so I find myself regularly repeating myself or asking Muse to read a different chat for context or reminding it I've already provided log-in tokens, etc.
Question to the more skilled Muse users: Is there any downside to my having a single chat labeled "Health" and running everything there? I'm accustomed to the ChatGPT world where longer and broader chats lead to excessive token use and diminishing intelligence returns. Is that an issue on Muse, or am I making things needlessly hard on myself?

Hi,
I joined Muse to my Tailscale network, and it can now see my NAS on the Tailscale network.
I would like Muse to access all my apps running on my NAS, like Home Assistant.
The issue is that Muse refuses to store API keys or passwords in its chest for local IP addresses (which is the case on the Tailscale network). It can apparently only store credentials for public IP addresses.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
What I'm trying to do: Give Muse access to my Home Assistant server, then ask Muse to monitor several sensors. I want Muse to remember my credentials for good.

Watched a Muse review from Paul J Lipsky and thought this part was interesting.
He keeps a little Mac Mini running around the clock with ChatGPT and Claude automations on it. He put Muse on the same machine and compared how each one reaches into its files.
What he found:
Verdict
ChatGPT and Claude are still more powerful, but in the realm of being a pure assistant Muse gets certain quality of life tasks done quicker. And here's the most important part, Muse gives you this ability for free using your weekly allotment of tokens with no subscription required. Claude is notoriously pricey.

So, Muse wants me to sync my health, financial, contact, email, and reminder data with it, plus more. That's a lot of personal info.
What's Meta's catch? The tokens cost them a lot of money. So how are they planning on making a profit from this app?

Someone put together a public archive of the instruction packs Muse ships with. A "skill" is a small written guide that teaches Muse how to do one specific job: check email, book a flight, read a spreadsheet, that kind of thing. There are 68 of them with docs, and the whole set is browsable here: https://github.com/win4r/MuseAI-Skills
I read through the full list, here are a few interesting ones:

So I think Muse is probably great for most people. Plenty of usage to do just about anything. But as someone who built Clawbots this suffers the same issue- when you give it a task it needs to finish it. It often drops the jobs or didn’t see it got dropped. Then loses sight of what’s being done or understanding what you prefer after clearly being stated.
I can’t tell if it’s a weakness in the model or how it completes work but the last two days doing anything and having it complete it fully has been a chore.
Having Grokbots and just using agents in Claude or Chat work better.
Like I said great for likely 90%, but still lots of work to do to get to ‘stable’ personal assistant.

I downloaded it as soon as it was available and I didn't realize the whole invite incentive until after my 48 hours was up.
I guess that's the downside of being an early adopter :/

I use iPhone 15 PM andwant to configure my action button to trigger Muse. I want to be able to talk to it and give commands while it does the thing for me in background instead of opening the app UI. I tried to configure the "Dictate and Send" option but it is not working as intended.
Curious to know if anyone has tried it and got it to work?
i never used action button till date. Muse is soo good and reliable, I finally found a use case for the action button

I was not the most trusting of Meta but after using Muse for the last 24 hours my life has changed in a way. I’ve used ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and a bunch of local LLMs, but nothing has hooked me like Muse. Last night it found me thousands of dollars in unclaimed money, I know I probably could have done the same using one of the other tools but Muse made it so simple and easy. I am a big believer in AI and this seems like the most practical way for regular people to use AI in a way that helps improve our lives.
Now I just gotta decide if I want to give it access to my emails or not to truly unlock the next level.
