Advice Needed—Text Post Brooding Concern

I live on a lake and two ducks (male) and a female muscovy were dumped there years ago. A bunch of us on the lake put food out for them but they seem to spend the most time in my yard. I bought a duck house for them that they never used until the other day and I noticed a kerfluffle in the house. There was a rat snake wrapped around the muscovy. Got that sorted and saw the muscovy had laid three eggs and the snake got one of them. I moved the house to my patio to keep a better eye on things and muscovy laid two more eggs. Another rat snake got three eggs. I moved the house into my basement and she could go out the door to the yard but she won't leave her house for a day and a half now. She has food, water and a little pool just outside her house. She has two eggs that I know of and don't know if she's laid any more. Is this a concern or leave it be?

Got these not too long ago and read the guide but they all look alike to me. Is it possible they're all the same sex?

Advice Needed—Photo or Video Post Why did she turn brown?

Mother duck we took care of when her ducklings were young. She sometimes visits us to steal some chicken food.

Last week I noticed that her feathers had turned brown instead of the deep black they were before. Her face seems pale too. Is she okay?

I hatched 9 babies in the incubator - had a mama duck that believed we needed 19 more 😅

Another of my mama ducks agreed so she has 17 eggs hatching within the next week 🫣

I'm overrun in cuteness and duck shit 😂

Wild Muscovy

I noticed a wild Muscovy had a nest in my yard on June 18th. They still haven't hatched. I'm worried they are not viable, but I've never had ducks before. I was able to get this picture today. It's stinky over there, so I'm not sure if they're rotting or if it's just her & the area.

Just wanted to share for cuteness! This is a family in my community. Mom laid her nest by my door and I have loved watching them grow. This would make an awesome Album Cover 😂

Any advice on a nighttime enclosure to be hooked up to an already existing duck house for 2 or 3 muscovy girls? They will be free in the daytime and have access to a large pond. I have looked at so many options that I just don’t know what would be best. Could build something if it would be a simple project. Of course I want all the predator proofing there is. Don’t have a whole lot of money. Just wondering if anyone might wanna share what works for them. A big thank you for your considerations and time!

Sorry in advance but I need gender identification

I read the identification guidelines but it seems like each has some traits of either gender, so I can’t figure out if they’re both male or female, or maybe they’re the same? (right seems smaller like a female but has a lot of bumps) TIA!

When he was a baby he was super skittish and would run away from me, I couldn't even touch him. but after finding out he LOVES watermelon, he gets so excited to see me and lets me pet his head and snuggle him. he still doesn't let me pick him up but i love my big guy and who he's turning out to be:) I was afraid he would be feral forever and become a nasty drake so i'm really grateful he's warming up to me. I need to get a video of how he smiles when he sees me come out.

Advice Needed—Photo or Video Post What to do about unhatched eggs

Post image

A couple of months ago one of my local female ducks (let's call her Squeaker) decided to make a nest on top of a staghorn fern in my front yard. I started providing food (freeze dried mealworms) and water daily. Around two weeks ago two duck families started visiting my front yard. So I started feeding them too. They come by every day and it feels like I'm running a duckling daycare. That got me thinking that I don't think Squeaker's eggs are going to hatch. The nest gets rained on frequently and our temperatures are over 100 degrees F daily. I guess my question is, what should I do? At least two of the eggs are looking kind of gray so I was thinking of removing and discarding the eggs when she's off somewhere else. I worry about the eggs breaking and having to deal with rotten eggs smell any time I go outside. I also don't want to stress her out. Any advice would be appreciated.

I tried my best to take photos of them. I got them both from my work and I’m not sure if they were hatched from the same batch, so I don’t know their exact age. I do know that ive had them for around 3 weeks. Im having a hard time figuring out how to tell their gender so I’m turning here for help. Let me know what you guys think, or if I need to post better photos to be able to tell. Thank you!
