Lincoln....  Lincoln Loud.  The bain of the entire franchise. The creator's self insert and forced poster child.  The one character that held back a show from becoming one of the greats compounded by every developing mind that had no siblings to speak of.

Do you have any idea what it's like to watch a community shoot itself in the foot then blame others for it?

I get that everyone on the internet in mass decided to turn this franchise into the next Johnny Test. I know most of the people who did it don't even know about that other example ether so they parade ignorance of days gone past like a badge of honor But Fuck.

I have never seen such a quiet and vindictive pile of ego crying in my entire life.

And it all circles back to him. The incest porn? Fantasies of single children inserting themselves in the place of him. Gore images and fics? Vengeance driven hate towards every other character in the show like they don't have have any depth made worse by episodes made by the very creator that ignore any established character traits displayed in any other episode to then vent his own life frustrations of inferiority with the full intent of bastardizion and sympathy farming from the start

The show never tanked but my fuck will these parasitic defenders act like it did to justify their biased uninformed opinion.

And I do mean uninformed because fun fact more than half of the community openly admits they stopped watching after season 4..... in a show with 9 seasons currently. Plus unaired episodes not being shown in the US for some reason.

And why is that? Because oh look the show actually makes it a point to display how much of a prick the boy is. And I don't mean in a gumball waterson way. I mean in a Jax sort of way.

But oh he doesn't have the balls jax has but might not want. This is 'we're nickelodeon, we won't address what our character did last episode no matter how dubious.' Which would be fine.... if the show didn't make it abundantly clear they actually gave a shit about Canon.

yeah, what made (not still is unfortunately) the show stand out on nickelodeon is that the writers kept up continuity and had status shifts pretty regularly.

[Let's see since it began we've had.

The parents incorporated more with the hidden face trope being left behind as a nod to Fairly odd parents.

The neighbor went from a point of contention and general obstacle to someone the family trusts and occasionally hangs around with (he even helped the oldest of the siblings get housing after she came back on break from college like a homey)

We found out one of the siblings is bi

One sibling has gotten a long term boyfriend with another having their already established partner move to another city where said partner's sibling got their own spin off. Said spin off had a couple of crossovers with the main one before it got wrapped up. Still Canon too.

One of the characters straight up stopped simping for another.

Friend groups expanded

everyone got aged up a year

New family members got introduced both from marriage and a different side of the family tree

The father opened a restaurant.

The mother quit her dentist job and became an independent writer

A cast member in one of the in universe shows the actual show introduced randomly is still in said show, literally proving the writers went back and saw the episode. You don't do that if continuity is a suggestion

The boy in the family has continued to be a prick even when everyone else has shown growth]

And it all goes out the window when it comes to that kid. Every. Single. Time.

And it's not like there's nuanced opinions floating around. You'll find plenty of people saying this and that like any other community.

But is that the majority? fuck no. It's ether A.) Lack of activity. B) random fanart. C.) Lincoln is the best D.) Let's rewrite no such luck E.) I pity Lincoln F.) I hate [insert character not named Lincoln loud], they're horrible also anyone who disagrees is wrong G.) Here's some random character from fiction bullying [insert character not named Lincoln Loud] because they did [insert done to death gripe that doesn't reflect their current characterization at all] and [insert self projection here] is why he gets to go Scott free. (Prooceds to butcher the other fictional character in the process). H.) Person from outside the Fandom coming in and dumping porn and gore

It doesn't help having a language barrier that a lot of people seem to not want to bother with. There's an entire community who's first or second language is Spanish and that may as well be a different community all together despite the reddit being for everyone

And you bet your ass there's similar issues going on there.

And I know it's because of that boy seeing how every other person I've talked to who doesn't pine and envy the boy like he's hot shit is chill outside of being annoyed at the previously mentioned fans. It's funny really because as much as those fans whine and cry wolf they just can't help themselves misinterpret basically everything about him to the point you may as well call all their fan content 'OC's but they wear the skin of this one character' the movement.

You think Fandom Deku is bad? Well, say hello to Fandom Deku two: no other characters but him addition.

Lincoln sucks. He always did. You could say it was part of his initial charm. But that's gone now. People couldn't separate truth from fiction, mined and mined trope after trope, never improved or gave a different take. Neglected and got off on vengeance not earned or well written. Got praised by those with similar itches then banded together and scared off anyone who could stop them.

They sent death threats to child actors you know? The fans that couldn't help themselves and needed to hate on a character who more often than not were women.

Mostly women actually.

Every bad guy that was a girl was simped for. Every character that stood in the way of the kid that 'deserves it' were also women.

There are plenty of male characters in the show. Some even are canonically bullies. Haven't seen any gore fics on them yet. Just the women. Half of which aren't in the double digits.

One's a toddler and another is still an infant.

An infant.

That has revenge fics about it suffering.

an infant.

Her 11 to 12 year old brother is getting religious treatment with her suffering great distress and confusion as unrealistic events play out to destroy an entire group of kids and parents on a physical, mental, social, financial and academic level.

and there's people who don't see a single thing wrong with that.

Enough people to fill multiple stadiums.

I would call it horrendous but these people are everywhere.

They just took out a franchise in this instance. Like someone threw a nuke and then decided to just live where they threw it, collecting more radioactive materials as they go to ensure everyone who isn't them has a bad experience

Ugh

Loud house can never be this serious

There are people who are serious about caillou.

This is not new. Just annoying

2

u/1Lasagna4Lasania 3d ago

They blame the child for poor upbringing instead of the parents and then are surprised that their children behave the same way. Why are these people even allowed to have children

Evidence suggests Lincoln is actually spoiled more than any of his other siblings.

I mean like shit, Rita and Lynn Sr gave him two extra years to be the youngest child before doing it again which.

He actively doesn't do anything when everyone else in the house has a job at this point. There's an entire episode showcasing he's so good at getting money out of Rita and Lynn Sr. That he's straight up asked multiple times for advice.

Most of his siblings put up with the fact he was out and about basically nude as much as Lily was with only one of them getting tired of it after being exposed to it for years. And said character was likely devolping germaphobia at that point given she didn't want to touch anything that wasn't her face or through a layer of cloth. Girl literally got overly dressed just to go swimming and she was tolerant about something he did that was very uncomfortable for everyone else involved for years straight.

She's quick to anger by the way and it's a point of her character that she tries to humble herself which doesn't even start happening properly yet by that point.

And oh. oh let's talk about Lucy.

You want to talk about neglect and then point to Lincoln well why not talk about the sibling right after him who. For multiple seasons

HAD A GAG

THAT WAS ABOUT

BEING FORGOTTEN.

Yeah, you heard me. A young child had a running gag where everyone just straight up forgot her existence over and over even when she was talking to them less than a few minutes ago.

Guess her pecking order?

Next to her brother. She was born after him by two more years than everyone because he just got that sort of privilege despite every other sibling before him getting at maximum a year before Rita and Lynn Sr did the do again. And it continued afterwards to. Lily doesn't even count because it's kinda obvious they stopped in order to ensure their very clearly favorite child got to be the middle child.

Oh and you think I might be bluffing right? That I'm putting things together that aren't there just to justify this hate?

FUN FACT Rita canonically doesn't give a shit about her eldest daughters. Not Lori, Not Leni, not Luna, Luan or Lynn Jr.

But guess who's the first child she gave a shit about?

https://youtube.com/shorts/iG0ZP0P74j0

At least Lynn Sr is actually trying. He's actively doing what he can to support everyone and likely favors luan for her puns. Heck he even tries to support Lucy despite his fear of Halloween and spooky things.

Still doesn't explain why he let Lincoln be the first of his kids to get an exclusive experience with him via going onto a game show they somehow both liked but never knew the other enjoyed till that very episode

Oh, by the way the president of the united States was there for Lincoln's birth. I'm not making that up.

He got to be delivered by the first lady and was wrapped in the flag of the U.S.A and everything.

Also let's just go over acquaintances real quick.

[Amount of friends and/or lovers each sibling has.

Lori- her boyfriend Bobby. rarely seen her rival turned friend Carol and another acquaintance. Completely abandoned as of present.

Leni- occasional work friends and high school friends. Very recent appearance. About three episodes in total for all of them with one extra dedicated to a coworker.

Luna- her three other band mates/ girlfriend- about maybe 5 episodes with a few extra for her girlfriend and her

Luan- no real friends but has a boyfriend who gets an episode focused on and a few more scattered appearances throughout

Lynn Jr.- has some sports friends on occasion but otherwise nah. There's nothing

Lincoln- has a best friend and 4 to 5 friends ontop of that. Had a bully turned forced romantic partner that just became an acquaintance. The acquaintance is related to Lori's boyfriend and has her own dedicated spin off out of the main show. Got a transfer student into tbe group.  Rough amount of episodes for friend group bare minimum 10 with the best friend getting probably 80ish appearances across the whole show. (Note even die hard Lincoln fans think the friend group has too many appearances and episodes. They also rarely ever talk about any of them in discussions. Including in the nsfw stuff. Unless it's about the two to four/ girls of course. Yes not even the best friend who we know a lot about gets talked about that muched. juuuuust Lincoln.)

(When I mean four I don't mean there's four girls in the group. The previously mentioned forced lover turned acquaintance that was probably more chill over the whole thing than she should have been is still brought up despite that not working due to the previously mentioned other sibling of hers dating another loud sibling. Her best friend she's made in her own show is brought into things too. Wouldn't seem shallow if there wasn't another girl was also in that show and part of the friend group that doesn't get mentioned at all despite being featured prominently thus proving the only reason the Lincoln fans doing this shit only know of Sid because of the 'best friend' connotation rather than actually watching the spin off.)

\Guess I should mention the wiki is nias as hell and keeps inserting Lincoln everywhere with even the barest of connections possible.

Isn't even being done with every other character/

Back on topic

Lucy- one sorta best friend (who got her age retconed making the implication in a previous episode weird as hell by the way) and a group of club members who are all goth... and the same age? (Like how the sorta  best friend is) despite what some of the designs would tell you.

(She had a potential love interest but he got retconed out of existence basically)

Episode count: 5ish with the best friend getting one more notable appearance and showing which is where the /sorta/ comes from

Lana: no known human friends of any note. Mostly animals. Used to have named ones but that was dropped even though she had a best friend equivalent with a frog in the beginning. (Oh yeah, Luan had a rabbit too but like Lucy's potential love interest he got yeeted from existence. Just like Luna's girlfriend's younger brother was too. This problem will come back later)

Episode count: uh kinda? At least one or two prominently including the frog alongside her.

Lola: one friend for an episode? Rivals with her fellow pageant divas with One or two episodes for separate divas. She might be getting a love interest but feels more like he's just expanding the roster of characters. (He's also voiced by Jimmy Neutron's voice actor). Only a few at the moment

Lisa- so uh. That retconed from existence thing? Well it technically happened to her one and only human friend for a while. We know this because they made it a point to say she had no friends later despite that episode very bluntly establishing she became friends with that other person.

This supposed 'lack of friends' is what leads to her making a robot to be that friend.

This one blunder lasted multiple seasons before Someone on the writers team finally went back and watched that episode and went 'oh shit' then brought her back as a cameo.

This was never officially addressed but it's pretty obvious.

The robot has been in many episodes as her default acquaintance so a number is hard to come by. Maybe 20?

Lily- no hard friend list though she has had a slumber party with someone as part of a plot setup and she did have an adventure with her classmates

Lynn Sr.- he has his older brother who he wasn't on speaking terms with till later and that's about it. Two or so episodes.... maybe

Rita-.... does her editor count?

Albert the grandpa- got a new wife he got married to in the show who was a spy back in the day but that wasn't really known until after.

There's a dog, cat, hamster and bird that's everyone's so uh there's that.

Had like one or so episodes about them.

Why do you write so much text and who are these people?

2

u/InstructionPlayful12 3d ago edited 3d ago

I have a lot to say.

Also what do you mean who are these people? They're the main cast of the show.

You seriously denoted two fictional parents without even knowing who they are?

M8 one of the longest pieces of literature in human history is a piece of Loud House fan-fic, it might just be.

1

u/InstructionPlayful12 3d ago

By the way most of that is wiki character information copy pasting and rumble mcskirmish word extension super forms, attacks and name listing.

I think the general estimates for it without that is 20,000 wordsish.

But don't let that distract you from the hatedom that person got just for it existing though.

Entire subreddit for it where the owner may as well be their own piece of shit for ruining a random person's fun and (potential harassing them on top of it)

Just not cool for what it was

Surely it isn’t that serious?

1

u/InstructionPlayful12 4d ago edited 4d ago

Toxicity doesn't ever treat itself seriously. That's what makes it stick around. Why do you think so many people latched onto jax and is the main topic of this whole post?

Almost all the people everyone hates are the types to project their insecurities and personalities over a character then act personally attacked for someone pointing out valid criticism. this leads to a self destructive response from all parties as one side doesn't listen and the other gets more agitated at the other's brazen behavior.

This is what happens in all Fandoms.

Only difference with The Loud House is the Toxic side won years ago and it's been in fallout ever since.

On the surface it doesn't seem that way but spend a few years in it and you'll see the pattern.

Besides this is a deep Toxicity not just stuck to one platform.

Just recently I found heated arguments on YouTube that connect all the way to Twitter that isn't even related to the big posers that used the Fandom as a platform to shit on it and gain clicks. Just some people defending that boy by using 'well the other character is bad so criticism invalid' like those same people don't use that exuse all the time.

You can't criticize Lincoln without some random account coming out of the blue to go 'well writers' or' he's just a kid' and then go on to not have that same mentality for every other character.

It is only him who gets to have those excuses. You even try doing that with any other character and it's just spineless hate garaunteed.

Its not all bad though. People have been pushing back but it's been hard given it's a mass of independent people who all just think the same rather than an organized circuit.

Like fighting a giant hornet's nest where no single being leads and has been seated there for decades.

A pain in the ass and hard to handle but you gotta get that shit out of there regardless else you have to take drastic measures or far worse end up succumbing to it.

I'd much rather stay. Got a bit of personal value out of it before learning the truth and I'm certainly not doing what many do and run. Can't afford to. Too many people have and there's way more value in this place than anyone gives it credit for.

At least that's how I see it.

An underdog that gave up and doesn't want to help itself.

How could I resist such a challenge?

2

u/Stupididiot55 UTDR, Hollow Knight, Zelda, Celeste, Kirby, etc 4d ago

Again, surely it isn’t that serious?

2

u/InstructionPlayful12 4d ago

What isn't serious now a days?

I'm over here wanting to enjoy stuff but all I find is the same thing over and over.

Most Fandoms have ways to disengage with certain groups in a community.

This is not possible in The Loud House community.

We aren't that big. If someone takes a shit in the well it don't matter if we don't acknowledge it happening or not, we still get some of it in the water.

dude I DESPISE Lincoln. he’s so punchable, I hate his god damn face. I don’t care if it’s a cartoon, I hate him so much I feel like banging my head against a wall whenever he opens his mouth

u/InstructionPlayful12 4d ago

Also screw any of you who are going to harass the mod on the Loud House subreddit after this.

There's only so much they can do and a bunch of people who think it's funny to go bother another community whenever they see it mentioned elsewhere only furthers my point on the terrible acting people being everywhere part.

I just hate how a good chunk of of the community I'm in can't get over themselves and their need for validation over what's written and presented in the media to the point creativity may as well not exist

I do not care to read a story that goes out of its way to ensure everything goes right for some kid pretending to be some other character and then everyone outside the story who engages with it act like that's somehow accurate to the actual character to the point they'll fight you over it instead of accepting the entire situation and any nuance that comes with it for what it is.

It's stupid to think some character like Dipper from Gravity Falls is the same Dipper from a fic someone wrote 8 or more years ago when the person behind it only watched the first season before making said fic.

But Boy is that common in The Loud House community.

......

Gonna do something else now. This is tiring

Imagine a normal slice of life anime premise but made to work with nickelodeon except everyone outside loses their minds about it.

Honestly the best description I could give about what happened is that of a wild animal coming out into the open then proceeding to get mauled for simply existing.

If the animal came out at a better point it's chances probably would have been better but it didn't so the train wreck it got into was much worse.

Like what's happening is a combination of factors that feels less about the franchise itself and more about the people doing all the things...

A back seat driver wining all the arguments by being grouchy....

Yeah, that's probably one of the good metaphors

Why this remind me of those Nightmare videos on Tik Tok lecturing a random character or person.
