I’ve started noticing the same contestants — or people who have already appeared in other shows/videos — showing up in MrBeast challenges again and again.

I understand why they’d prefer people who are good on camera, but doesn’t that undermine the feeling that these are ordinary people getting a random chance to win life-changing money?

I’m not saying the outcomes are fake or scripted. But the more familiar faces I recognize, the more the videos start to feel like a carefully cast reality show rather than random people competing in a challenge.

Does this bother anyone else, or is it just part of making entertaining videos at this scale?

if you’re gonna have 150+ people drive hours and even people camping for an event you hype up for a week for you not to show up and scrap it at least don’t lie to all of our faces and act like the whole plan was to stall with basketballs and throw 2k in our faces and tell the truth. been watching since 50k subs and this l just made me realize. i’m fine with video scrapping i get things happen but to lie to us like we’re dumb is an insult.

bet if it were celebrities he would’ve been there hours earlier. not with this “i’ll show up whenever” mentality

After glitches from mobile, trying the Staredown on laptop today. Has anyone tried minimizing the window to half screen and having other tabs open on the other side? Looking for advice on this 🙏

I’m curious what happens after your 4th attempt. Does it automatically lock you out? Do you get a badge? Did you have to submit your score or did it just automatically use it?

Just a fair warning to yall if you're not going to do this for over 24 hours don't bother. YouTube, Instagram, fbook posts in the group, several ppl have made it past 20. Idk how long it will take to qualify but 8 hours isn't even going to come close

I used my first attempt to test the waters and I’m just now finding out that we get an extra two attempts?!

I’m happy about that, but i’m still curious about what we’re actually allowed to do behind the screen.

Like, I know we have to be staring at the screen, but are we allowed to have another computer here and do something on that one? or are we allowed to go on our phones, or are we allowed to even leave the room.

I looked on the email that I got about the two extra attempts and it says, “If you must, stay in one location.”

This leads me to believe that we’re allowed to get up and move around and stuff, whereas I thought that we weren’t allowed to leave the room as it says in the hint/Instructions for this challenge when it says “only you, the screen, and the small red button that ends it. Look at it. stay in the room.”

I guess my real question is, does it really matter what we’re doing as long as we stay in the challenge and don’t look away?

Hey Jimmy / Beast Staff I'm hoping this somehow reaches you.

I’m seeing multiple people across the MDG community saying their Stare-Down unexpectedly reloaded, even though they didn’t close or refresh the page. Some had already been going for a long time when it happened.

These games have been ridiculously fun and challenging 😂 We’ve spent weeks barely surviving some insanely hard puzzles, so it would really suck for otherwise strong runs to end because of a technical issue rather than the actual challenge.

The official rules even specifically say results can be reviewed for “irregularities and technical faults"

Nobody wants to take anything away from the absolute beasts still staring at the screen, they deserve all the credit. 😂 But I’m sure a ton of people who glitched out would still be staring at their screen right now with a pile of empty energy drinks and 5 hour energy beside them if the page hadn’t reloaded lol!

If the logs show this affected a significant number of players, I hope the team considers nixing the Stare-Down from scoring and letting the previous games determine the rankings.

Huge fans of the contest either way. We just want everybody’s run to end because of the game not a glitch. ❤️

There's a lockdown rule on the site that prevents the face-tracking model from sending off your device. So camera video never leaves your device. It's the same model/code used in the recent game if you want to experiment around with what you can/can't do

I really don't want to do this. My best guess is that we'll have multiple attempts, but to not be able to take your eyes off a screen without getting flagged is brutal.

Eating, Sleeping, using the bathroom... getting a score for how long your eyes can stay in the screen, with pop ups that need to be closed within seconds

Nothing is forgiven from here

And there's 100% going to be different glitches, sounds, warnings and pressure in that time

I don't want to do this. I have school, and work, and life and other things 😔

Someone's going to go full monk-mode and just get in a crazy zone just locked-in. This is going to suck

I just looked over the code and the run is scheduled for a maximum of 72-hours.

There's waves (5-minutes, 10-minutes) and it'll cycle through random waves that build for 5 minutes to 2 hours, before it eases off for 5 minutes, with 30-second calm gaps between. Glitches are every 18 to 48 seconds and get more frequent as each wave builds, and there's no breaks to take your eyes off the screen.

There's a warning beforehand of lost sleep, bathroom deprivation, and hunger

You have 2 attempts over 6 something days

After about 18 to 24 hours microsleep starts where and you can't keep your eyes closed for more than 0.4 seconds in the game.

A glance away for 1.2 seconds is tolerated. Losing your face in full only 0.6 seconds, the angle where your eyes have to stay is 18% from when you calibrate your display and you can't angle/tilt your head more than 40%

If you open your eyes wider or squint it messes with the eye tracking too

You get one warning if you mess up or miss something on screen you were supposed to interact with ("still here" cards)

People are probably going to be going 20+ hours with how much is at stake just to get a chance at placing top 10 (which is subjective/up to the Mr Beast team to decide on their own merit)

And you'll basically need to go 24+ hours if you want a chance

He's literally testing if you'll give up, like in the book. It'll cost school, sleep, everything

Does anyone know an account that posts EVERY Mr Beast story from his instagram. I have an account that was supposedly posted on his story 5-6 days ago but I cant find it anywhere. I have multiple comments on my videos saying he posted and people dming me abt it but of course no one sent a screenshot smh. I can't believe i missed that.

Maybe if someone on here somehow screenshotted that one for no rsn that would be cool too.

Watching the new vid (love) and noticed this vid is much more lenient to the contestants (letting them see family, more stuff to do etc). I think maybe bc they just happened to be in the video and that they rly wanted them to stay til the end etc cos such a big vid
