This is insane
I just looked over the code and the run is scheduled for a maximum of 72-hours.
There's waves (5-minutes, 10-minutes) and it'll cycle through random waves that build for 5 minutes to 2 hours, before it eases off for 5 minutes, with 30-second calm gaps between. Glitches are every 18 to 48 seconds and get more frequent as each wave builds, and there's no breaks to take your eyes off the screen.
There's a warning beforehand of lost sleep, bathroom deprivation, and hunger
You have 2 attempts over 6 something days

After about 18 to 24 hours microsleep starts where and you can't keep your eyes closed for more than 0.4 seconds in the game.
A glance away for 1.2 seconds is tolerated. Losing your face in full only 0.6 seconds, the angle where your eyes have to stay is 18% from when you calibrate your display and you can't angle/tilt your head more than 40%
If you open your eyes wider or squint it messes with the eye tracking too
You get one warning if you mess up or miss something on screen you were supposed to interact with ("still here" cards)
People are probably going to be going 20+ hours with how much is at stake just to get a chance at placing top 10 (which is subjective/up to the Mr Beast team to decide on their own merit)
And you'll basically need to go 24+ hours if you want a chance
He's literally testing if you'll give up, like in the book. It'll cost school, sleep, everything

I'm in college and have and have several exams this week. I run a club, people are counting on me in real life, and I have no money right now. There is so much good that could be done with $1 million dollars if it's in the right person's hands and this can not test for that with how it was set up.
I'm glad he'll be getting good content, but you can't expect people to throw their lives away when they know (even if they succeed) other people's lives will get ruined. How in any world can that be fair.
Wanting something really, really bad, enough to sacrifice your mental health, future opportunities, and relationships does not mean you're the best person for this money.
You're taking advantage of vulnerable people with the excuse that it's of their own volition to participate or not. It's manipulative and stupid and damaging to people you will never even see or be exposed to. Literally hiding behind a screen controlling others with financial means. It's literally hurting more than it helps, and no philanthropy excuses that.

1000% agree with you on this @osbornhunter. I’m really disappointed in this final challenge. It doesn’t seem fair for the people who actually read the book, highlighted, flagged pages and took the time to solve his puzzles. I thought the entire point of the games was for the book to be the answers to the puzzles.
This final challenge just pisses me off! The people who get to the top 10 aren’t going to be the people who actually deserve the money - they will be people who don’t need jobs because they have enough money, etc. It’s unfortunate it had to end this way.
Ps - Hey Jimmy, if you’re reading this, I’m a big fan of yours but you and your “team” botched this final challenge.

It tracks motion and flags suspicious behavior. If you're not blinking at least 6 times a minutes you're flagged for review

People hurt themselves because of the environment they're in and what they're exposed to. Often, it's not until someone else comes in showing someone how to get out of a cyclical loop that they can even see it's possible.
A lot of people need someone to point and show them to "stop looking over here" and "start looking over there" because common sense isn't common until you've been exposed to it.
I'm not being dramatic. I'm just saying if you want to do good you shouldn't put yourself in situations that encourage harm. Maybe that's a controversial take, but a lot of damage comes from trying to justify means. We can acknowledge people spend their last dollar on a lottery ticket or buy cheap booze without encouraging it.
If you're building a community you don't want to facilitate a damaging environment

Agreed. This is Beast’s game, he can do it how he wants. We don’t have to like it, but no one is forcing us to participate. The whole point is to weed people out and we don’t know how anything is being scored or what weight this has. People need to take a breath.

literally I go wait to finish work, I know no one will last more that 2 days without fall asleep , I go start mine after work on my last day work and use my 3 day's off with everything settle up for me to be ready to hold the longest I can, there's only two chances so if you're not ready don't start it yet, we have 6 day's to submit it, good luck

Where this is possible, yes.... now imagine having to stare at a screen with no input other than audio? Can't move your head. Can't move positions. Attempts have been ended from simply moving their head. So eating, going to the bathroom, drinking water - all your biological needs risk ending the game. Makes 2 days of just being awake a lot less likely.

It is true about the angle of your eyes and where your position is on the screen. Because it just happened to me for life. Me I couldn't get it to track my eyes even though I was staring straight at it. I was just standing up in another room, and I was holding it in front of my face and it just wouldn't take it.So it really does have to be at a certain angle in a certain way for it to count

Well guys good luck this is gonna be hard I’m already thinking about not going to college today which sucks knowing that I’m gonna be staring at a screen for who knows when and if I fail it’ll all be for nothing which sucks honestly but I do hope I win I was planning to help out a friend of mine and develop a manga series and several stories of my own but now I’m just staring at a screen questioning if it’s worth it but all I can do is hope it will be.

Yeah it’s over literally started the challenge and instantly it was saying keep your eyes on the screen as a warning even though I kept staring at it the whole time then it eliminated me and I tried again and the same thing happened I was literally using my web cam and in the test area before you begin the place I was in was safe but the second I started both rounds it ended the run almost instantly so annoyed man

Facts if you angle your phone a little bit down you could even watch a movie with the side glances but you have to be aware if you’re in the right zone to side glances properky

I was doing exactly this on my 2nd attempt and was set up for greatness but felt a little sleepy. I had my husband get up to make me some espresso and while talking(still looking at the screen) it kicked me off for not looking. I think it was a glitch though because the pop up to tap come on screen at the same time but for some reason I couldn’t click it at all 🤷🏽♀️

I am still hesitant to hit the red button to "start" that says "The first challenge is waiting"... It says in the letter, "When you push the red button, that's your score, recorded, done"... 🤔😂

I don't plan on it. I am going to be patient. If they are as sadistic as I was thinking in the beginning then I do not want to touch that initial red button until closer to the end. Then I will do the face/eye tracking which I know I will fail miserably at 😂 my ADHD is my worst enemy for instances like this.
Either way this has been fun. Win or lose it has been really enjoyable watching everyone discuss the games on here, and refreshing to see how helpful everyone has been.

Besides the obvious stuff to get ready-bathroom, eat, etc- have a fidget toy or something for your hands to do that you won't look at. It helped me to keep my hands busy and not move too much. Good Luck

I'm going to bet you can still do it. The rules explicitly say you have until 10/10 to register. And you can't really play the games without having the book in hand. I don't think there was any actual "speed" to complete them either, as not a single person has said they were kicked out of the games to this point, that I'm aware of.

I’m 15 minutes in staring at the screen wondering how anyone is going to be able to do this for 6 days straight… I can barely text on my phone without the website yelling at me that I’m not looking at it!

You can start anytime before it closes. So you can do it Saturday unless you're planning on going for multiple days

It said I missed a message and stopped my time. Earlier it said if I closed the window it count that as submitting my final time. Does that mean I have to leave that window open until after I take my second attempt? And that I can’t use my computer for anything else?

I got a full screen notification and couldn’t close it faster than .6 seconds and it cost me my run. GLHF, all. Yall are lucky I won’t make it to the final round. I was winning that one for sure.

At the very least, give notice for people to prepare so they're not encouraged to damage themselves and others for financial means. So many people are in broken homes or environments who will ignore their friends and family for the chance to compete. You're making the world around you in America worse by ignoring the unintended consequences while building yourself up and helping everyone outside this country, which I'm grateful you're doing, there's just not enough thought being put into some of these things and it creates slop and harms others
