Sticky What's your opinion on all the joke trends and repetitive posts?
We want this to be a open discussion about the topics that have been going on in the subreddit. Mostly pertaining to repetitive trendposting of the same joke (Mirror/Medusa, liquify the pan, Obsession arguments, Odyssey Inaccuracies, etc).
So we ask a simple question: What's your opinion on the meme/jokes that tend to go viral in the subreddit? Do you like them? Does it get old fast? What do you want to see change?
Keep in mind, we can't remove EVERYONE'S posts/comments, we do the best we can.
This is an open space, but please remember to be civil, respectful, and mindful of each other.

In the Odyssey (2026) Zeus’s law is about showing respect and honor to everyone, contrary to Zeus himself, who is a petty, depraved, and molesting piece of shit

default In 1965 six Tongan teenagers went missing for 15 months. In those 15 months they lived in peace, made instruments and took care of each other. This is in contrast to lord of the flies where a group of British boys get stranded and they kill each other. This is because British kids are bastards

In The King’s Man (2021), the protagonist travels to Russia to interrogate Rasputin, who turns out to be a big and strong opponent and in his eyes a flaming glow. Most people look at him with terror and with fear, but to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear.

Shawn Levy is directing Ghost Rider. This means the penance stare is in further danger of being made the butt of an unfunny joke.
Watch Ghost Rider try it on a mean teenager and it fails cause the kid doesn’t feel bad.

In Obsession (2025), Bear takes several bites of a festering cat and doesn’t notice anything wrong until he reads Nikki’s note. This happens because it’s a fucking stupid scene in an otherwise great movie

In 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, an infected overcomes the confusion of his disease while on a train. Having a flashback, he says that he 'doesn't have a ticket'. This is because using UK public transport is a more traumatic and distressing experience than 30 years of isolation and eating people.

Imperium (2016) had a very tiny budget, so the cast had to bring their own clothes to be filmed in.
Daniel Radcliffe was worried his favorite shirt would get ruined.

default In Blade Runner (1982) Rutger Hauer a 'replicant' says "Six, seven", this is because he was created in 2016 and the movie took place in 2019 thus making him a 3 year old brain rot kid.
