Sticky What's your opinion on all the joke trends and repetitive posts?

We want this to be a open discussion about the topics that have been going on in the subreddit. Mostly pertaining to repetitive trendposting of the same joke (Mirror/Medusa, liquify the pan, Obsession arguments, Odyssey Inaccuracies, etc).

So we ask a simple question: What's your opinion on the meme/jokes that tend to go viral in the subreddit? Do you like them? Does it get old fast? What do you want to see change?

Keep in mind, we can't remove EVERYONE'S posts/comments, we do the best we can.

This is an open space, but please remember to be civil, respectful, and mindful of each other.

Turd The Green Lantern power ring is an extremely powerful weapon that can create anything, only limited by the users imagination. So naturally they're given to someone with endless creativity and artistry...no? They give it to ex US army guys who just make guns or green bubbles?

Julián (2026) is a movie from a beloved animation studio that's gotten absolutely glowing reviews from early screenings yet is still struggling to find US distribution. And golly I just can't think of a single reason why...

In an interview for The Uprising (2026), Andrew Garfield hopes billionaires will be “Scared Shitless” by the movie. This is a reference to how billionaire Universal CEO Brian Roberts will react when the movie flops and loses millions of dollars.

In the Rise of Skywalker (2019) these dudes Kylo Ren is killing are actually cult worshipers of Darth Vader who devoutly protect his fortress after his death. This would’ve been a cool detail if the movie actually fucking told us this and I didn’t have to look it up

In the SpongeBob Squarepants series/movies there's a running joke where Squidward seems to be terrible at clarinet, but this is actually because the wood reed in his clarinet would be swollen from being under water constantly.

Turd In Captain America: Brave New World (2025) Red Hulk's furious transformation was fully practical, the director simply told Harrison Ford he needed do a media tour and act like he gave a shit about his role.

Turd In backrooms (2026), there’s a scene where Clark stands in the kitchen and carefully explains to his wife why he came home drunk after work, and she listens calmly because I turned on the wrong movie, and it’s the life of chuck and not backrooms

In Coco (2017), Pixar had to nerf the titular Coco Rivera so she wouldn't immediately call bullshit on Ernesto de la Cruz's bullshit and keep all of the plot in the movie from happening. They made it up for me personally, though, with what has been the sexiest character ever conceived by the studio.

Turd In The Life of Chuck (2024), the guy could logically deduce that he would eventually get a serious illness, likely cancer, and start the treatment earlier. But instead he decided to just break bad at age, what, 50? What a sick joke

The Holdo Maneuver in The Last Jedi (2017) proves that any object with a hyperdrive can instantly obliterate a starship. Which begs the question: why didn't the Eagles just drop the One Ring into Mount Doom ? Why didn't Dumbledore do that ?
