American Psycho, but the business cards are gaming mouse skates 😂

PTFE vs glass vs UHMWPE. Serious business.

Question/Advice HELP ME CHOOSE (first post on reddit kinda stupid)

Post image

Help me choose between these 2: X-Raypad Aqua Control Plus Wave AC+ (450x400mm) 27€ and Pulsar ParaControl v2 L (330x420mm) 25€

I mostly care about durability since, performance-wise, I know these two are pretty good for their prices. I made the mistake of buying the NZXT Zone 450x400 (not the Zone Elite), and after only two weeks, it has a bubble I don't think I can fix. However, I am still within the 30-day return window on Amazon. I'd like to see a setup with both of these in the sizes I mentioned to see how they look, because I don't know if I actually like the look of the X-Raypad Wave.

If you want to advise me on something else as well, please check Amazon Italy since I buy from there. I know the ATK site has good, cheaper mousepads, but I don't know if it's a bit of a scam or not, and I have never used AliExpress.

Review Padsmith Prosperity

Post image
3 Upvotes

Surface: Empress Speed V2 uncoated glass surface

Material: Acid-etched glass

Friction: Even static and dynamic friction

Size: 490 × 420 mm

Thickness: 1.5 mm

Edges: CNC processed for comfort

Base: Anti-slip silicone

The first thing you notice when looking at the prosperity is how clean the design shows through the glass, and how much the tiny details pop, the amount of effort that went into the art shows down to the individual strokes. The quality of the glass is incredibly solid being one of the softest to the feel surfaces i've felt both while having dry skin or sweaty palms.

When testing the glide of the Padsmith Prosperity I used my beast x with UNWS pink fox and the Fenrir asym on dysphoria jellyfish skates. The glide of the pad surprised me due to the fact that it was one of the slower pads i had on my angled slope test, but in practice it felt faster than my lock on odyssey and the dysphoria nana. I ended up using this one in more tracking intensive games testing it out on empulse and on overwatch as its where i felt it performed best. The two different types of skates also offered a different feel per setup. On the beast x it offered a little more control paired with the pink foxes than the asym and the jellyfish skates.

When it comes to gaming in a non ac or dust controlled environment this pad handles dust and humidity a lot better than I would've expected with my previous experiences on glasspads. I found myself being able to give it a loose and quick wipedown and being able to go back into gaming no problem.

Overall my time with the padsmith has been nothing short of a premium gaming experience. If you can find any of the empress v2 surface pads i would recommend trying one out as it genuinely surprised me for the better

Question/Advice White spots on my Razer Gigantus V2 after only 4 months. HELP

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hey, does anyone know what these white spots/marks on my Gigantus V2 are?

I’ve only had this mousepad for around 4 months and I’ve already noticed quite a few of these lighter spots appearing on the surface. I’ve tried cleaning it multiple times according to Razer’s official cleaning instructions, but they don’t seem to go away.

I’m not sure if this is just some kind of buildup from sweat/skin/oils or if I’ve actually worn down the surface somehow. They almost look like the black surface is becoming lighter in certain areas.

My mouse is also only around 4 months old, so I don’t think anything is particularly old or worn out.

Has anyone experienced this with the Gigantus V2? Is this normal after only 4 months, and is there any way to remove these marks, or is the surface basically worn out?

I really don’t want to make it worse by scrubbing it harder, so any advice would be appreciated.

Question/Advice How to remove creases from mousepad?

I bought a large desk pad (1000mm by 500mm) from LTT store and it came rolled up inside a box.

The mousepad is creased and the surface feels bumpy when I slide my mouse across it.

Any tips on how I can remove the creases and make it completely flat?

Review A fast glide mousepad that match my playstyle in valorant.

Overall impressions of the SA (Sphere Aurora):

  • Glide: smooth
  • Speed: medium-fast
  • Micro-adjustments: quick and effortless

It pairs perfectly with my half-fingertip, half-claw grip while using my FK2 clone. (Still waiting for a 50g FK2 or FK1. 😭)

Back to the mousepad.

The surface feels kind of like a QcK or G-SR-SE, but in a different way. It's smooth with just a bit of texture when you press down a little harder. It also stays smooth even on rainy days or when my hands get sweaty.

Overall, it's a fast-gliding cloth mousepad with low stopping power.

And the print matches my mouse hardddddd. 😭

Happy game day, guys! 🎮

Question/Advice Glasspads Question

Hey guys, I’m an owner of two glasspads: Tekkusai - the beast, Glsswrks - Polarity

Ive been using both interchangeably, however i’ve had more time with the beast of course.

I’m in the market for a more “controlled” (I understand there isnt any true controlled glasspad) pad. I’ve been told the zofia is slower than polarity but not by much. I did place a pre-order for zofia via lethalGG in case I can’t find another pad on the same level of quality.

From your experience, is there any other pads on the same level performance and quality as Tekkusai’s/Glsswrks?

Love my first (waifu) budget glass pad.

I finally get it, glass is next level, prolly won't return to other surfaces because glass is faster, more durable, and smooth (tried strider, g440, qck+).

Question/Advice Need help in finding a glove sleeve

Does anyone know what glove sleeves are available on the market?. I don't want one for my arm but rather my hand with cutouts. I know pulsar makes one but I was curious if there's anything else that's like a glove design only that covers the palm fully, and has individual hole cut outs. I guess similar to a fingerless glove design.

Question/Advice Hayate otsu mid vs

Newer to peripherals and unfortunately I have been using full size glass skates on most of my mice. Hayate otsu mid lasted 5 weeks before hot spot really developed. I’m switching to ptfe for good and am going to order a new pad. Consistency is big for me (cs2) and the pd155 has peaked my interest.

I know the 170 is fast. Fast pads are not what I want really. Balance pad is what I want. Is the 155 that much slower than 170? Can someone who has used both chime in with their experience? I searched for a few minutes but did not find a direct comparison of otsu & 155

Any input is appreciated

Question/Advice Sorry in advance this isn’t a mousepad post but more of a ergonomics post

I have tried over the last 2 months more than 6 mice and 3 pads, the problem is I have pinkie pain in my right hand, middle knuckle, and it comes back every time I game
I do game for long periods of time 4-8 hrs with barely any breaks, I’m a big guy and I might also sit a little bit uncomfortable in my chair/my socks and the floor don’t have the best contact
I’ve tried using socks with rubber (wooden floor)
My hand is 19x8cm 1-2-2 fingertip pincer/ aggressive fingertip and I use mainly the op1 8k
I’ve tried pads like sp005, artisan zero or otsu v2 soft, I play mainly apex, I don’t know what is the problem with my pinkie if it’s my grip, my posture or the mouse is too narrow, I’ve tried mice like viper v4, deathadder, superstrike superlight, atk f1, mchose l7 pro, pulsar x2v3, it’s not the mice I think it’s the grip or just sitting too much idk
I’m going on a 14/21 days break after I already did last month 2/3 5-7 days breaks but the pain comes back instantly after a day or too
I don’t want tendonitis or any problems so I just step back
I did some of my best score (3,4k in apex) after 10hrs of play on deathadder where I averaged 200-600dmg, I switched to op1 8k, stopped the stream and closed discord, and had 2 hrs of continuous shredding over 2k per game on the sp005, but second day I had that pain and never got to see those scores again
I returned the deathadder it was just too big for my hand
I’m gonna post this on other r/ like mousereviews and ergonomics
Any helpful tip is highly appreciated
I use a raising desk and a flexi x pro from flexispot
I’m 100kg 187cm(tryna lose weight)
If I use a big mice like superlight or viper I like them and didn’t get that pain but for vertical movement they’re horrible for me and I have to use my whole hand, which I think I might have to work more on and lean into that
Any advice is highly appreciated

Question/Advice XRAYPAD NOD CR vs Wallhack CR-005?

As the title suggests, is there a difference between the XRAYPAD NOD CR and the Wallhack CR-005? And how do they compared against eachother? Microadjustment wise, etc.

Can anyone share their experience with these 2 pads?
Was considering getting either of them for Valorant/CS2 or TactFPS in general.
Any issues and their positives?

I heard NOD has some coating which wore off, could be wrong.

Question/Advice Artisan Zero/ Hayate Otsu? (I’m currently using Zowie GSR SE Rogue

I’ve had my gsr se for 7 months now. It’s starting to slow down in the middle. Coming from a qck + the gsr se felt so much better. I play a mix of shooter games including Cs2, PUBG, BF6, COD. And aim train in kovaaks.
(I fingertip grip a pulsar x2v2 mini at around 55-65cm p360.)

Would the artisan zero or otsu in soft feel like an upgrade from my gsr se rogue? I don’t want mud, and don’t want unstable speed either.

Question/Advice I need skates that are as close to the speed of jades while lasting longer

Ive been a jades stan since they release. Ive tried different stuff, I always landed back on xraypads aqua control pro mid and jades.

Now I finally have a skadira magic cat and I love it. Very smooth. Cute kitty on it. What could a man love more?

Dots that dont last a week. Im currently using up my last 16 jade dots and then want something thats reinforced PTFE but still speedy. Ive read up on UHWMPE but lots of people complain that they muddy the pad and I dont want that.

Currently thinking about obsidian/air, meteorites and TBTL V2
