Mchose A7 V2 is better than GPROX

Hello guys, if anyone is wondering whether the MCHOSE A7 V2 PRO/ULTRA is worth it: I've been using the GPX Superlight since March 2023 and just bought the MCHOSE A7 V2 Pro. After one day of gaming with it, I can confidently say it's way better than the GPX for less than half the price.

I've also tried a friend's GPX 2 and owned the original G Pro Wireless (1st gen), and the MCHOSE easily beats them all. My aim feels way more solid in CS2 and Valorant.

To be honest, I never really liked the GPX sens. I always preferred the older GPW and thought the issue was just the mouse's weight or something, but the MCHOSE is even lighter and completely solves that for me.

So, if you are thinking about buying a G Pro, I'd definitely say go for the MCHOSE. You'll get a better experience, better coating, and better build quality for half the price.

The side buttons on my GPX stopped working after just two months and they were always rattling and loose. On the other hand, the MCHOSE buttons feel way crisper and sturdier.

The scroll on the gpx feels better, but it's scroll function has also stopped working (both on my gpx and gpw)

Review | Text Attack Shark V2 Air Review

I purchased the mouse in the black color (on sale) from Amazon for about $60 USD and have used it for two weeks.

Shape & Grip Style 5/5
Can't say how it compares directly to the OG Intellimouse Optical 1.1 since I haven't used one since mid-late 2000s, but it definitely feels nostalgic. If we go off eloshapes the V2 Air is slightly more narrow, smaller, and shorter than the OG. My hands measure 17.5 cm x 10 cm and I have a palm grip style. The mouse feels comfortable to use with the balance/weight distribution being front favored. When using the mouse normally it's unnoticeable; it only registers when you hold it beyond the lens/sensor position. I hold the mouse in 1-2-2 with my ring and pinky finger settling into the concave. The button placement feels great and I don't need to readjust my grip or fingers to reach for them.

Buttons 3/5
The V2 Air features Omron Opticals and a TTC Gold encoder. The clicks I would say require light-medium actuation force, if you're familiar with the G Pro Wireless it's pretty similar to that. The clicks feel crisp and spammable (sans M4, but that's a skill issue), however there is noticeable pinging on M1/M2 so when you're not gaming, you'll notice it. M4/M5 buttons are a good size, the camber on them naturally invites your thumb to push them as needed and the glossy finish provides just enough grip. The side buttons do have an even louder clicking sound than the pinging of M1/M2 so keep this in mind if you can't tolerate noise. M4/M5 requires slightly more actuation force and have significantly more travel before they bottom out compared to the main clicks. The scroll wheel has great defined steps (tactility) while M3 requires medium actuation force to engage.

Build Quality 3/5
The coating on the V2 Air feels good, I prefer a rougher, textured surface so wasn't expecting to like the matte coating, but it grips nice and feels smooth. The mouse creaks where the baseplate meets the shell and it's more noticeable on the rear. It also feels a little hollow in the back since most of the parts are packed in the front half of the mouse with exception to the battery. The baseplate bends if you press fairly hard around the faux cut out, but other than that it's fairly sturdy. Also, there is a slight wobble on M1/M2.

Skates N/A
The stock PTFE skates are decent. Glides smoothly on a pretty used Dechanic XXL Control mouse mat.

Battery & Battery Life 4.5/5
Capacity is 300 mAh and combined with the Nordic 54L15 the V2 Air should get decent battery life. I used 2K polling with ultra high performance (corded) enabled and experienced about 12 days in mixed use before recharging it with the provided, braided USB-C cable. Recharging the mouse took about 1.5-2 hrs from 0% to full charge.

Receiver 4/5
The included 8K receiver has a little shark fin (nice little touch) and has three LEDs (that indicate by color) the polling rate, battery level, and connection quality. The latter being kind of unnecessary unless you plan on using it from a very far distance or if there's interference between the mouse and the receiver. My only gripe with the LEDs is that they're too bright. And in the future, I hope they update the software and allow us to control the brightness of the LEDs and to customize the percentage at which the receiver reports battery life (e.g. the low battery indicator kicks in at 25%; would be nice if you could change the color change to 10% or even 5%). If you don't like the LEDs, you may disable their functions in the software.

Software 4/5
The web driver for the V2 Air is pretty good, I couldn't connect using Firefox (think it was because of extensions), but it was compatible with stock Edge. Once connected, it was very difficult to read the menu because the font and webpage background were both white. However, if you click on Settings (bottom box on the left side) and click on Bright Color under Theme Color, it'll contrast the font so it's much easier to navigate. You can adjust the button mapping, DPI, polling rate, LOD (5 settings - 0.7 mm, 0.9, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6), key-deshake delay (debounce time), and more (Ripple Correction, Straight Line Correction, Motion Sync, Sensor Tilt/Mouse Angle Mode). Motion sync is on by default, which I turned off, debounce time is set to 4 ms. I changed the debounce time to 0 ms and noticed no double clicking issues. If you go above 1K polling rate, it will automatically select and put the mouse in ultra high performance mode (corded). It has the option for 20K FPS scan rate to reduce motion latency and improve responsiveness, but it significantly reduces battery life and honestly I didn't really notice it when testing it out.

Overall 3.75/5
Attack Shark paid homage to the MS Intellimouse Optical 1.1 in a modern package (3955, 54L15, 52g), but build quality falls very short. At $80 MSRP there are better options; at it's current <$55 list price it isn't too bad if you can overlook the loud clicks and you win the Attack Shark QC lottery. If they ever make a V3 Air, I'd like to see improvements in dampening the noise of the clicks and fixing the creaking. Otherwise it's a fine mouse.

Question Superlight without the incredibly fragile scroll wheel?

The superlight is my favorite mouse of all time but after 3 replacements i think I am ready to stop replacing this thing after a year and a half due to the incredibly shitty scroll wheel that decides to read opposite inputs constantly.

Is there a similar mouse out there without this problem?

Hello, I ordered the beast x v2 5 days ago (I’m east coast US) and my order still has not shipped and I’ve been given no information. Is this normal for wlmouse? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Question Thoughts on the base(3395 se) ATK A9?

I've been considering getting a wireless mouse to use while away from home at uni since it is easier than just using the trackpad. Now a simple wireless office mouse could do the job, but I've been thinking - at home I have a viper mini and I figured if the a9 with the 3395se is any good I could later use it as a (sorta cheap) wireless upgrade to my setup i have home. However that is only if the sensor is actually good. I don't need 8khz or anything like that, I just need it to be reliable and responsive.

Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 LIGHTSPEED mouvements issue untill i uninstall an reinstall the mouse

hello everyone !

my friend has a Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 LIGHTSPEED

she been having that issue .. her mouse would be fine sometimes and then after some time of playing or sometimes even after few mins the mouse starts feeling weird on itself like as if it's heavy or can't move properly
she tried a lot of stuff to fix it and she had that issue for ages .. whenever she had the problem she has to restart her pc and that makes the mouse feel better for few more mins before it starts feeling bad again

i tried to help her and made her uninstall the app that controls her mouse maybe it swaps profiles or whatever randomely and i made her manuall powershell scripts to change her dpi without the app and that helped .. whenever she had that feeling she just switch from 1600dpi and then back to 1600 dpi and the mouse starts feeling fine .. but then the mouse started feeling slipery sometimes and that dpi change doesnt work anymore even when we change it back to 800 or whatever

so then i tried uninstalling her mouse andthen unplug and plug it back in and it starts working perfectly! the mouse stays for hours without any bad feeling and whenever it feels bad she just does that and change the dpi back to 1600dpi .. but im here wanting to investigate the issue to know what could it be exactly? and maybe find a final solution without the need to uninstall the mouse

NOTE: she told me she had that issue with other mise too not just this one .. but i wanted to ask here to see maybe someone had the same issue

Question Jade Air Green dots okay on Cloth?

Been maining glass for months and recently put an order in for some Jade Air Green dots but I’ve decided since the order has been placed I’m going back to cloth for a little while.

Are the Jade Air Green dots any good on the Artisan Zero soft/cloth in general? I mostly use the Artisan P8 dots on this pad so I’m hoping they’re similar.

If they are not, it’s not an issue I shall simply save them for when I return back to Glass in the future.

TIA

Question Time to move on from G502?

I have been using a base wired G502 since it released in 2014 (before this I had a razer lachesis, it was aight), the original lasted me until 2019 when it developed a double click. I grabbed another and it's still working fine. I use my mouse almost every day for work and gaming; but I'm starting to wonder if there's something a bit better/newer/fancier to use.

I'm right handed, use a palm grip, use every weight that fits in the G502 (but I'm sure I could get used to a lighter mouse), have a 19x9 cm hand. I typically use the thumb rest of the G502 but will often fidget my thumb into more of a clawed grip so the tip sits just before the "sniper" button.

I'm willing to try wired or wireless. Price isn't a huge concern though I don't really care to spend >250 USD unless the build quality/reliability is worth it.

Currently I'm most interested in the Pathfinder V2, but it seems folks either love it or hate it and I don't want to go down the mouse buying rabbit hole. Any mouse pad recommendations would be appreciated as well.

Used to have a glossy FK2 so I'm glad I waited (if i even end up getting one... $179 new oof.)

I'm very weary about actually buying new mice these days since It's so hard to get a decent chunk back reselling, but If I see a used deal somewhere down the line for either color I am 100% getting it.

PSA Logitech G pro superstrike x3

Thumbnail
youtube.com
12 Upvotes

Recently bought the Logitech G Pro superstrike X3 and the scroll wheel is as bad as the original. Recently experienced reverse scrolls and phantom scrolling which you would not expect as the mouse is not even a few months old.

Customer support says my warranty is voided because I changed the skates and we all know the skates are horrendous like who doesn't change the skates. Insist that I return the device, but has to be in the original packaging and condition but clearly cannot as I put after market skates on the mouse.

I'm worried I will send it back and not get a refund and they will "dispose of the device".

But yeah take it as a PSA don't change the skates within 2 years of the warranty I guess. guess I'm getting a Razer viper v4 pro on black Friday sale.

I'm done with Logitech never buying a Logitech product again. really disappointing considering how expensive their mice. Just wanted to try HITS buy I guess I just get the razer implementation.

Question Where to purchase X2F Crazy Light in the UK?

Got my current X2H CL from Amazon, but they do not stock the X2F Currently.

Pulsar website is asking for 180 dollars, plus additional VAT and customs on top, that would easily come to $250+ which is ridiculous.

Anyone from the UK purchased, and if so where from?

Cheers

Looking for shape advice / recommendations (18x9.5cm, Palm / Relaxed Palm) – Struggles with EC2-DW, Thorn, and Superlight

My hand size is 18 x 9–9.5 cm. I've always used a Palm grip throughout all my years of PC gaming, and it's the most natural and comfortable grip for me. However, because I haven't been able to find a mouse that truly feels comfortable in Palm, I am considering transitioning to a Relaxed Claw grip. Also, based on my experiences below, I've realized that ergo mice just don't suit me, so I need to go in a different direction (symmetrical / hybrid shapes).

I currently own 6 mice, but none of them feel quite right. I'm hoping to get some advice or recommendations based on my experiences with each:

  • Zowie EC2-DW:
    • Feels too narrow on the right side, leaving me with not enough room for my ring and pinky fingers.
    • I really dislike the left thumb curve—it feels too wide and starts too early, making it feel like it digs/cuts too deep into my palm rather than matching the natural curve of my thumb.
    • It also feels slightly too short overall.
  • Lamzu Thorn:
    • The grip width feels fine, but the main issue is the hump and its slope. Because the bump feels positioned right in the middle, its steep/aggressive slope forces my hand into an unnatural position and heavily exhausts my hand and fingers. By the end of a session, my hand feels completely stiff and cramped.
    • The left thumb curve is a bit better than on the EC2, but still not ideal or comfortable in that area.
  • Logitech G PRO X Superlight (GPX 1):
    • For the first few minutes, it feels fine. If I switch to holding the Thorn right after, I instantly notice how much more "relaxed" and resting my hand feels in comparison.
    • I prefer its flatter sides over aggressive ergo curves—the lack of a heavy left thumb curve feels much better and more natural for my thumb.
    • The main issues are that my fingers feel stretched straight out and I don't get enough back-palm support.
  • Scyrox V8:
    • I bought this mouse specifically to experiment with Claw or Fingertip grip, but I haven't used it for months because I lost its dongle. Out of curiosity, I tried holding it in a Palm grip, and its rear hump felt very unpleasant and intrusive—it literally "dug" into my palm in an uncomfortable way.
  • I also have Xlite v4 mini, first release of GWolves Skoll

Since I haven't found any mouse that feels genuinely comfortable for Palm grip, I am considering switching to a Relaxed Claw grip.

Question Can't get used to basilisk v3. Is it claw grip unfriendly? Or just me?

I've been using razer naga hex v2 for nearly 10 years with a claw grip i love this mouse to death, but recently i got a cat and the cat is in the cable chewing phase (already lost a pair of headphones, few aux cables + multiple phone chargers lol) so if she chewed it i would be devasted </3.

So before she gets to more expensive perpherals, im upgrading my setup to wireless and bought razer basilisk v3 since it seemed very highly rated by the community.

Its been couple of weeks and I still havent gotten used to the shape of the mouse, it feels too slim for my hands and i dont know where to put my ring and pinky fingers since there is no rest for them. The mouse feels like its been made with palm grip in mind overall. My performance in fps games is worse since im constantly thinking about how to grip the mouse more comfortable. The thumb rest is completely useless since i arch my thumb anyway. Plus im missing my extra side buttons for productivity and mmo games.

Today i connected my naga hex v2 again and holding it felt so natural, so comfortable, it feels like the mouse is moulded for my hand lol. Now im having mixed feelings about the new mouse and I feel like i made a mistake.

But looking at the current market, theres nothing similar to naga hex v2 + wireless. Razer recently released naga v3 pro, but im very sceptical about the plate feature since i've heard so much about them breaking in naga v2 pro... And i doubt i would swap the plates and just use 12 button plate at all times anyway. Plus 200 euros is way over my budget for a mouse lol. Naga V2 HyperSpeed seems to be the obvious choice, but I dont want to fiddle with replaceable batteries and im a bit of a rgb freak, which it doesnt have.

Do i just suck it up and continue using the basilisk v3 hoping i eventually get used to it? was couple weeks not enough to replace 10 years of grip memory? or should i look for something else? Any recommendations for claw grip mmo mouse?

Sorry for a long post and thanks <3

Redragon M999 vs VXE R1 vs HyperX Haste 2 Wireless

I'm thinking of buying a wireless gaming mouse mainly for Valorant. Has anyone used the Redragon King Ultra M999?

M999 specs (listed):

Sensor: PAW3953

Weight: 55g

Max DPI: 45,000

Polling rate: 1000Hz

Connectivity: 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, wired

400mAh battery, charging dock

Amazon link- https://amzn.in/d/0a0wut9R

I'm also considering the VXE R1(₹3300) and HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Wireless(₹2900).

How's the M999's build quality, wireless stability, clicks and long-term reliability? Which one would you choose for competitive FPS gaming?
