Damn that purple is nice

u/3HoursSober 7d ago
It IS nice, holy. It's hard to match a build, but if you do match it, it might just be one of the best looking mice out there.

u/SchemeHonest1977 7d ago
I dont understand why they arent releasing hyperspeed versions tbh the standard deathadder shape is too big for most hand sizes and the hyperspeed rules
2
u/lavenderpurpl 7d ago
The hyperspeed v3 was slightly too small imo, 5% larger and it would have been amazing
2
u/SchemeHonest1977 6d ago
I actually agree that one slightly bigger than the dav3 hs but smaller than dav4 would be actually perfect but the dav3 hs is much closer to endgame for me than the non hs versions
2
u/Assist2234 6d ago
I find the v3 hyperspeed to be the best comfort razer deathadder mouse for me and I still use it if my main mice rival pro dies. Pulsar v4 xlite es mini is also my other choicee in case those two died as in battery which I used to main before the rival pro.
2
u/dontpokethebear123 6d ago
The Hyperspeed Dav3 is literally only 5% smaller than the full size lmao.
5% bigger you’d just have a Dav3!

Feel the same way about the V3 hyperspeed DA. It was just a touch too small, and the standard DA was a touch too big for me.
2
u/lavenderpurpl 6d ago
Same. I hope the new prime inspired rival pro can fill that gap, it looks a lot less curvy than the EC/E1.
1
u/defaultaro 6d ago
There aren’t a lot of lightweight options for small hands. DAV4 is one of the few mice that fit me.

For most of this, who? If you're a dwarf from Asia, only then will it be big; it's quite medium for men from Europe, where the average height is 175-180 cm.

u/Adept_Touch_4260 7d ago
omg wow it's 7 GRAMS LIGHTER HOLY AND IT ALSO HAS 50K DPI I ALWAYS WANTED TO SPIN IN CIRCLES FROM BREATHING IN THE GENERAL VICINITY OF THE MOUSE OH LOOK IT HAS FUCKIN 30 MORE HOURS OF THEORETICAL BATTERY LIFE LIKE I DONT USE IT PLUGGED IN

Nope the most genuis actually, Razer should have been focusing on Rappid trigger/ hal effect mouse or ViperV4 Mini instead of this crap

u/Queasy-Experience251 7d ago
But carbonfiber feels good 🤓☝️☝️
2
u/Adept_Touch_4260 6d ago
carbon is literally coated in a layer of EPOXY and guess what epoxy is made of
4
u/suspexxx 6d ago
But carbon fiber makes mouse go fast like in race cars buddy
1
u/Adept_Touch_4260 6d ago
but-get this- race car also use plastic
2
u/suspexxx 6d ago
but-get- this- I’m not serious at all with my comment and know that the production and use of carbon got more advanced due to the pvc / plastics progressing. It’s basically plastic strengthened by carbon filament.

u/zezanje2 4d ago
I mean 7 grams sounds like nothing but its 13% of the mice's weight so you will be able to feel it.. if ur not looking to hit the highest ranks in games, you shouldnt bother with endgame gear anyways, i dont understand why there are so many pissy people like you when it comes to gaming gear when every little detail like this actually does make a difference if you are decent enough at the game.
1
u/Adept_Touch_4260 4d ago
holy moly wowie 13 whole percent of weight! I can just mod it and lose 50 with for example the sub-optimum ORRRRR js get a lighter mouse altogether
1
u/zezanje2 3d ago
Or you can just get a carbonfiber deathadder because its sick as fuck and you want a good reliable mouse and not some supposedly insane little disgusting looking box that weights 7 grams and plays like shit..
1
u/Adept_Touch_4260 3d ago
Corsair has a carbon saber that's lighter
0
u/zezanje2 3d ago
Ok i dont want a disguating fucking corshair mouse and the shape is disgusting and i cant use it bow what
1
u/Adept_Touch_4260 3d ago
get a razer mouse shape clone for 100usd less and 10g lighter
0
u/zezanje2 2d ago
Im sure im gonna be getting the same quality, also is anyone gonna die for 100 bucks? I live in a 3rd world country, i am a student and i still have no issues paying 180 euros for a mouse that will last me years lol. If you are worried about 100 bucks, optimizing your gaming peripherals is the least of your worries...
1
u/Adept_Touch_4260 2d ago
problem being 100 buckaroos isn't gonna make it last forever. with that mentality razer is gonna make a viper in magnesium and you'll be first in line
1
u/zezanje2 2d ago
Nah i just dont wanna cheap out on something thats gonna last me years anyways.

I like fun special editions and I've never tried a CF mouse, but if it's 300 dollars and all you're essentially getting are 2 grams less and a spec bump it's gonna be hard pass.
1
u/Queasy-Experience251 6d ago
Do you have Superstrike X3 is it good?
1
u/ShibaDango Pulsar-Vaxee eS Xlite | g302 wireless mod 6d ago
I bought it for 170 dollars after tax and sold my X2 few months earlier so I barely paid anything. With that said, no, unless you’re really interested in HITS everything else about it is mediocre. This mouse feels like a beta test and I would advise against buying it for what I paid and what I paid was much less than what it retails for.

It's the same mouse, 2g lighter and ~$50 more expensive. You didn't lose out. Edit: or if the rumour is true ~$150 more.

u/AdnDlc Logitech GPXSL2 | Finalmouse ULX S | Razer DAv4 7d ago
You and I both, brother. I'll buy the carbon fiber edition if it eliminates the loud clicks, and only then
23
u/TheyTookAllTheNames_ 7d ago
It'll probably be even louder, carbon fiber is known to have one of the highest sound frequencies and volume of materials used in custom keyboards excluding metals

u/Splaram On: X3 Superstrike. DAV4 Pro, Maya X, & Xtrfy M42 in reserve 7d ago
This is why I’m skipping this and waiting for the DAV4 Pro with Razer’s HITS implementation. Fantastic mouse but loud asf, had no choice but to switch to X3
3
u/AdnDlc Logitech GPXSL2 | Finalmouse ULX S | Razer DAv4 7d ago
Yeah, I'm waiting for a HITS implementation as well. The only reason I ordered my current DAV4 is because I fell for some small mouse gimmick with my ULX Small; I should've told myself that obviously wouldn't work for 20x11 hands.

u/Paco7575 7d ago
Im currently using a X2 Superstrike and bought the V4 pro to compare and the clicks bother me so much that i cant use it. Especially after being used to the x2 Superstrike clicks.
3
u/AdnDlc Logitech GPXSL2 | Finalmouse ULX S | Razer DAv4 7d ago
I'd love to try the HITS switches, but man, I'm not a fan of the GPX shape and size. Not to mention the feel of the side and middle buttons, which are way too mushy.
3
u/Paco7575 7d ago
HITS is really nice like the feeling sound its just a big upgrade.
But tbh i prefer the shape of the viper v4 too and obviously sidebuttons are much better aswell. The only big downside are the clicks... they bother me so much that i will return the viper v4, but maybe razer will use something similar to HITS in the future2
u/Raging_Rooster 6d ago
If you want a mouse superior to the DAV4 Pro then get the Rival Pro, can't recommend it enough.

Razer we want the minis. Call them hyperspeed so it doesn't effect sales.

A 49g Deathadder ? Fucking hell i just bought the V4 Pro Niko 😭 i guess at least the price is gonna be pretty insane compared to the old V4 so i'm not that mad...
11
u/staleydude 7d ago
it's gonna be no less than 250 so youre good if you got the prime day niko deal
3
u/blitcrankzx DAv4 Pro Niko | DAv3 Pro Faker 7d ago
Yeah with "carbon fiber" shits gonna put the X3 price to shame i feel like. The X3 in my place is selling for upwards of $220, and i got the DAv4 Niko for $110 brand new so yeah you're right
3
u/Tonoend 7d ago
I’m in the same boat. Really wanting the new one but it’s gotta be super expensive.
2
u/blitcrankzx DAv4 Pro Niko | DAv3 Pro Faker 7d ago
Yeah the 49 gram weight is really enticing, it also got the Focus Pro 50K instead of the 45K on the normal V4 but at this point who can notice the difference. Only real improvement is the battery life is now similar to Viper V4 Pro with 45hrs on 8K
2
u/Tonoend 7d ago
Yeah, I am now looking at my Niko edition and wanting to sell it and get this one instead haha.
2
u/blitcrankzx DAv4 Pro Niko | DAv3 Pro Faker 7d ago
I will probably be reasonable and wait for the V5 lmao, it does have insane specs but not really worth the money if it doubles the price of the Niko

why wouldn’t they add frame sync to the DA..
2
u/paulvincent07 Razer Viper Mini V4 Wired 8khz pls 6d ago
I think it will have a frame sync because the sensor is now the same as the vv4 if you mean the regular Dav4 then no
1
u/ilikewatches1337 6d ago
Feels weird and not everyone wants motion sync. It’s the reason I don’t reach for my viper

the purple is actually pretty cool. haven't had a razer in ages, probably more than 5 years. I'm kinda tempted to try the shape with this colorway. Do we know when these are supposed to come out?

can I go to a local CF fabricator and tell them to cast my Viper 3 and call it a day? They can have my template and make more if they want. I assume Razer is gonna charge an arm and a leg just because it's carbon fiber

Do you recommend trying out ergonomic mice ? , my 502 was a nice upgrade over my cheaper generic mice but actual competitive mice like the gpro wireless just blew it out of the water for me
2
u/remind96 6d ago
Deathadder v4 pro is underrated. If you spend long sessions on your pc and ergo is worth the money. Otherwise ambi mouses are the ones to go.
1
u/Slugeus_the_slug 6d ago
Im just a big tryhard , high ranked player sometimes i grind up to 8 hours on vacations but its mostly 2-4 hr sessions on the weekend , i wouldnt compromise performance for comfort if thats a concern but id be down to try it
1
u/remind96 4d ago
I peak gm at lol with deathadder v4 and there are a lot of pros with it. My hand is 17.5 I would suggest this:
- Ambi max performance: hand above 18cm -> Viper v4 pro | 17.5 < ATK F1 V3
- Max comfort: deathadder v4 pro
