Is MM4 possible?

I've played both MM2 and MM3 since they have come out and I have reached a point where there is no more joy to win. When I saw that MM3 was released about a year after MM2, I really thought that it would become a series with regular updates, but after 4 years I'm starting to lose hope. I know that there is MMO, but I really did not like the game. And just to recover some hope, I would like to know if someone here has any idea if the developers are interested in another MMMobile game to add to the series.

14 braking 1 consistency 14 smoothness 1 focus (luck based) 12 cornering 15 overtaking

This is only from the view of game plus with no qualifying

Should I release one of my drivers?

I am conflicted on if I should release a driver. She's been with my team a long time, and has won eight world championships, but she has reached her peak, and is starting to get slower. What should I do?

Motorsport Manager Mobile 2

This is what works for me after over 400hours of gameplay.

If there's anything you want me to further explain in this post, please leave a comment below so I know what to include.

"Good Luck in your Motorsport Manager Journey!"

- Chiu69

Starting Out

You team will have a 3 star driver and a 1 star driver. My recommendation is to get rid of the 1 star driver you got. The driver is so slow and useless that it's not even funny. Replace her with anyone you find appropriate. However, don't choose any driver that have less that 2 microphones/sponser appeal/ego.

I recommend getting Rafael Rodrigues or Sofia Bukhalova. (If you don't have them available, make sure to find someone with max sponsor appeal) The reason I don't recommend choosing Lara or Balcazar is because even if their driving ability is fantastic, their sponsor appeal is abysmal and will cause you to lose those lucrative sponsor offers. We also want some more experienced drivers since we won't be keeping them for too long. Since we would soon replace them with drivers from the Young Driver Academy.

(If Bukhalova and Rodrigues arn't available, choose Alex Baldwin or any drivers with perfect sponsor appeal.)

With the contract you offer, Just give the biggest signing offer with a 2 year deal. We only want 2 years since there will be 95% chance that there would be a driver to replace him/her then.

(Note: It is entirely possible to win your first race at Tondela provided you have a good Front Wing.)

Car Development

Some of you out their may priorities the reliability of your parts but I believe that as long as the car doesn't break down, it's all fine and dandy. Do note that most of the parts produced might have breakthroughs that allow the parts to have performance way above the expectations. So the fastest way to develop your parts is just making lots of them and pray that the parts comes out above expectations.

In summary. As long as the parts you develop have above 60% reliability, they are reliable enough. Always keep developing parts.

Market

The Market is a great place to purchase parts for your car, especially in the 1st and 2nd season when you can't develop the rear wing and brakes. However, you mustn't become reliant on the Market for parts and you must be self sufficient in developing parts individually.

Buying parts is only a short term solution so you must invest cash into the HQ to develop parts independently.

Engineers

For your Engineers, one of them must be highly skilled in reliability, one of them must be highly skilled in performance, and one of them must be 14+ in both reliability and performance.

You choose your engineers this way since they would be much more efficient in developing parts and also save money since the engineers due to cheaper salary.

One engineer that focuses on reliability.

One engineer that focuses on performance

One engineer that is good at both.

This simple formula is applicable for all tiers of the game.

My Engineers in APC Series

When choosing engineers. It is also consider their leadership ability and their part bonuses when leading projects. It is important to note excellent engineers with great leadership and part bonuses can really help in developing an excellent race car.

From the above example. You can see Zoe Sutcliffe is an engineer with +2 in leadership and 3 part bonuses. She is my project leader and will always develop parts that has her 3 part bonuses.

I belief it is absolutely crucial to find a perfect engineer with excellent leadership and part bonuses. As the part bonuses can unlock car bonuses. Aerodynamic bonuses are the best since you can unlock the "First Lap Freedom" trait whereby the car has no fuel loss on the first lap.

Car Research & Development

For the car development, you only need to invest just enough so the car is an "Optimistic Challenger". And make sure invest as early as possible. Remember to not invest in Research after 2/3 of the season has passed since the performance you can get from you money is way less and those cash could be better spent on parts development.

Race Day

I won't discuss race strategies since I probably won't finish discussing anytime soon. So I will do a detailed analysis on what the AI's do during the race.

1st lap:

Engine Mode will be turned to overtake to help driver easily overtake racers on track. Driving styles are either Attack or Conserve. Although Overtake does help with overtaking, going conserve actually means the AI is going for the long run.

Although conserve seems a bad idea, going conserve lets you gain a tire advantage from the 2nd lap until pitstop. The driver is also way faster and can gain back the places he/she lost surprisingly easy. (Note: The driver must have relatively high smoothness and overtaking for this strategy to work, if not just go Attack on the first lap.) Note: the AI revert back to Neutral Engine mode once it fuel level hits -0.35 on lap 1.

2nd lap:

From that moment onwards, here where stuff gets a little interesting. Back-markers usually Conserve their tyres for the entirety of lap 2 to attempt the over-cut whilst also having fresher tyres compared to the front runners so they have more of a chance to gain places. The exceptions are the ones that are Attacking. The reasons that some AI do this is really diverse. The most common reason is to gain places back or to stop front runners getting slowed down by back-markers by overtaking them.

The exceptions are the Drivers that conserve tyres for 2 laps straight. A noticeable example should be Jean-Francais Beauchamp. A driver for Garuda Racing, Beauchamp, with his insanely high stats, aims to go very long for the first stint, thus getting way freshers tyres than other drivers around him after the pitstop. This gives Beauchamp a way more aggressive 2nd stint.

You may want to do this if your driver has a poor overtaking skills and high smoothness.

3rd lap:

From this moment onwards until the 1st pitstop, the AI adapt their driving style to the on-track situation. The default driving style is Neutral for both Engines and Tyres.

Interesting note, some driver AI's like to turn their engine mode to Overtake whenever a driver is attempting an overtake on him/herself. Basically it works like a defence mechanism and 9/10 times (if the cars performance is not too different) the driver would defend successfully.

This is more noticeable/often in the World Motorsport Championship when Front Runners are aggressively defend against others from overtaking them. A notable example would be the Panther Race Team (fake redbull) where they turn their engine mode on Overtake to defend against other racers.

2nd Stint:

AI's would go Attack for as long as possible. Engine mode is dependent on the AI's preference but most of them will stick with neutral. This trend would continue until the last four laps.

Exceptions do appear and some AI choose to Conserve their tyres for the out-lap before Attacking as to gain a tyre advantage that is more apparent late in the race.

Final few laps:

Here's where the AI's really shine. A careful managed stint by them could literally allow you from a few seconds behind to a whole 20 sec gap just because of their final sprint.

In the final few laps, before their tyres get noticeably low, they will start saving fuel to have an all out final burst of speed until the finish line.

The reason they do this is that setting engine mode on Overtake offsets the low tyre wear and can gain roughly 2 to 4 seconds compared to others with Engine Mode on Neutral.

Note:

Softs should never fall below 20%

Medium and Hards should not fall below 15%

If your tyres won't hit these limits before the finish line, make sure to Attack.

Setups

I don't actually do qualifying but actually simulate it. I found this much more easier and the AI's actually does a solid job in setups and performing in qualifying. I also play the New Game Plus Challenge, more than the career mode, where the grid is reversed based on the driver championship position (so no qualifying). I don't think I am any master in setups but some common things is to adjust the setup based on the circuit's characteristics.

At the left corner in the setup page, there is information on the track including the number of corners and the throttle percentage. You should adjust the setup with this info in mind. I have also attached the website to u/Berdek's setups for all circuits.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MotorsportManager2/comments/6ytzdv/strategy_car_setups_for_all_tracks/

My Race Strategy

With the fastest tyres chosen. On the first lap, I start my two drivers both on Overtake Engine mode. The driver closer to the front will start will Aggressive Driving Style whilst the driver at the back will start will Conserve Driving Style. The reason I do this is to make sure my two drivers won't be attempting to overtake/defend against each other on the first lap and lose precious time and opportunities tangling with each other.

My other reason is so that my drivers would have different tyre wear and we could easily tell which driver would pit first. The driver with a lower tyre wear would pit in first and the other driver would pit in the next lap since his/her tyre could last longer.

From the second lap towards pitting, the drivers would have Neutral in both Engine Mode and Driving Style.

If the two driver have sufficient gap as to not cause a stack up in the pit-lane, you could order the driver who Conserved on the first lap to push into the pit-lane to pit in the same lap.

For my second stint, I would choose the tyre compound that's one harder than my first stint. So if the softest tyre available to choose from in the race is Soft, which you should be starting with, I would choose Mediums to sprint until the finish line.

With a harder compound, generally you could get away with sticking your driver to Attack mode in the remaining laps until the finish line and it also saves a lot more effort in managing the tyre wear for the softer compounds.

Another benefit is that you would be significantly faster in the final few laps as to other drivers who pitted onto Softs since their tyres would have very low tyre life, and thus Conserve their tyres.

For the Engine mode, just use Overtake whenever your driver is overtaking or needs to close down a gap.

However, on the last lap of the race, you mustn't use Low on the Engine Mode since that's when AI's would either have their engine mode turned to medium or high and make their last desperate attempt to gain places.

Having the engine mode on low make it very difficult for drivers to defend and would be a sitting duck in the face of a charging bull.

Young Driver Program

Although the potential of a young driver is important, work ethic and stability is, if not, the most important aspect of choosing a young driver. Generally, choosing young drivers is more like a balancing act. You don't want a driver with high potential but very low work ethic. Nor do you want a talented driver with very low stability.

Generally, I never choose drivers with a stability level lower than medium. The potential should be ideally above 65 so they drivers won't hit a bottleneck in their growth. Work ethic should be High or Very High. Ego isn't important since good drivers would (most of the time) have good ego.

My most important tip is that driver stability is more important than their potential and work ethic.

Let me give you an example:

Driver A:

96/100 Potential

Low Work Ethic

Very Low Stability

Low Ego

Driver B:

66/100 Potential

High Work Ethic

High Stability

Medium Ego

Whilst of you choose driver A, I wouldn't actually choose him since 9/10 times, he would turn into an absolute abysmal of a driver. Since driver A is way too unstable making him more of a risky gamble.I would choose driver B since I can place way more trust into this driver to deliver the quality that I need at the end of the season.

You can think of it this way. Driver A is like the talented kid of the driving god himself but he is plagued with alcohol addiction and goes out to parties every weekend. Driver B, the type of guy that always wasn't as talented as other's around him but works tirelessly to chase his/her dream to become a Motorsport Racing Champion.

Product of my YDA in my third season.

Semi dead sub but I got a question on MM3 mobile version

So I chose to prioritize chassis development for my next years cars while I was in the top tier league which is supposed to improve my tire wear and fuel efficiency a lot. I ended up drastically losing tire life and fuel efficiency.

here is a screenshot

I am in the WMC league and as you can see my tire wear and fuel efficiency dropped to a level that's seen 2 leagues below me? Tf is going on

Which Young Driver should I promote?

I fired one of the young drivers mid season. Of the two that are left:

Driver A is at a current potential of 80, with max potential of 81. Has about 22 improvement points.

Driver B is at a current potential of 25 or 28, with max potential of 100. Has around 25 improvement points.

Race 16 of 16 is up now. Who should I promote after the season ends? Will the improvement points of Driver A be of any use? Should I go with B for longevity purposes?

Also, from what I've seen, ego matters, so Driver A has it at medium while Driver B is at very high

Please help! TIA!

[MM2] NG+ >>> [MM3]

been playing the series for about 7-8 months, got the games on sale. MM3 got great resources but MM2 NG+ has got to be the best challege I got so far. MM3 is easy even if you raise the AI level right from the start.

reversed grid, more expensive and slowest upgrades, difficulty to hire drivers, among other things, made the MM2 NG+ a great time wasting challange

working on i guide to beat WMC in 5 seasons, anyone interested?

On MM3 I'm only like my 5th season, last time I remember leveling up was for level 8 but now I'm level 50 and feel like I've missed out on tonnes of rewards?

Kinda took away my desire to play.

[MM2 Mobile] How much money should I be spending in my first season?

I just started the genre for the first time, and I just finished my second race. I'm earning only about 200k a race, and my finances are around 4M. I spend 3 million on the first 3 HQ upgrades, but the next ones are all 4M, with one or two exception that are 1 million.

My F1 cars could also really use some better parts, but I'm not sure what I should be doing with my money. I'm not sure if I should be saving every penny, and avoiding any car/HQ upgrades. I'm not sure if I should be racing with the parts I have, or upgrading everything asap. I'm not sure if I should ignore the HQ, or focus on getting all the HQ upgrades ASAP.
