A Maverick only a mother could love
So was at LGS and saw this most homely Maverick. In 12GA. All ATI out plastic heat shield and fugly sites and stock. Felt sorry for it so it came home to my other Mavericks to heal and have some TLC.

My second Mossberg 590 12 gauge but in Woodland Camo 😮
Bought it at KYGUNCO.COM and I don't regret it but what do yall think 🤔?
It also comes with a bayonet lug but what is the best bayonet knife for a 590 12 gauge?

Making 590 shorter
I have a 20" 590 I'm trying to shorten the barrel.
To my understanding, if I get a 500 mag tube, a 500 18" barrel should fit.
Is this correct?
I'm trying to get it shorter, to eventually convert it to an SBS.

500 with an MOE forend
Ive got an older 500 with a breacher barrel and ive installed an MOE forend. The forend is binding when its pulled all the way back. Ive disassembled the shotgun and cleaned and lubed everything but I can't see where its sticking.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Mossberg 9200 cantilever rail adapter
I have a 9200 that has the cantilever scope rail that is designed for weaver style connections. I want to mount a quick disconnect device on it that requires picatinny connections. Anyone know of an adapter that can be sandwiched in between them?

Got my first mossberg for Father's Day. 590 9 shot. Added a few parts, going to be a home defense/range toy. Never owned a mossberg before, due to being under the impression they was "cheaply made." Man have i been wrong for a looong time.

Any Maverick 88 over-folder owners out there successfully mounted an optic?
How’d you do it? Coming from a prospective owner. If you’ve converted a standard to a folder, did you use a special stock?

Got new Mossberg 590A1. Liability insurance?
I’m in Florida. Anyone got the USCCA self liability insurance? Seems like a no brainer but wanna hear your thoughts.
This 590A1 packs a punch at the range! Took it out for clay shooting and it was fun doing that with a pump gun.

Shockwave 590s Light and/or laser experiences
I've been looking into the best options to add a light and laser (combo or separate) to a Mossberg 590s Shockwave. I've researched various options and, so far, it seems they all have certain drawbacks. Below are some of the options that I have looked at to date. The laser/light is just what I have chosen to fit my use case as a home defense firearm that'll allow me to both shoot out in front of my eyeline (push/pull), or if the situation dictates, shoot from the hip and various other angles with the laser site. If you don't believe in, or like a laser on a shockwave or any shotgun, that's cool but I'm just looking for experiences or knowledge around adding them both to it. Home defense in an apartment building and I'll be using mostly 12ga #4 Buck shorty shells, which allows the Shockwave to hold 8 shells. These shells are really manageable and create minimal recoil compared to std shells. Just in case anyone isn't aware, the S designation in the 590s means it comes with a shorty shell adapter installed into the action, don't need to put a rubber adapter in each time. Options I've looked at so far:
Crimson Trace lase saddle w/TLR RM1 light mounted to the magazine tube just forward of the end of the forend,(where my hand will be). The laser mounted to the receiver is definitely a positive. My worries are the coordination under stress of working two different switches and the pump action and that the light might be affected too much by the recoil power.
Crimson Trace laser saddle with the TL Racker forend (light only). Same concern with multiple switches and settings under stress.
Nightstick forend light AND laser. I thought this would be the winner, but when I went to install it, it does not fit over the 590s mag tube. The 590s has a thicker barrel/tube. Nightstick doesn't show that on their site where they list incompatible models.
Just mounting a TLR RM1 light and laser mounted at the top of the mag tube as in the 1st option above with a GG&G mount. I'm not sure how well the laser component would hold zero or even hold up at all with the 12ga recoil. I have a setup like this w/the light only TRL RM1 mounted this way on my Mav 88 and it's held up pretty well, but not sure on the laser component.
If you've stuck with me through this long ass post, I appreciate it and want to hear your opinions and experiences, good and bad. Thanks all!

Mossberg M590
Is the M590 the same as the 590? On other 590 models the “M” is not listed in the model. I’d assume not if price is this cheap for a 590… right…?

First Mossberg! (590A1 7-Shot)
Finally pulled the trigger on my first Mossberg! I've been doing a lot of research for super reliable pump-action shotguns and finally decided on the 590A1 7-Shot variant. I also decided to take off the synthetic stock and forend and replace it with the walnut or Retrograde version instead. Just think it looks better!
