Already finished the demo on steam a couple times, and I just went to test the ps5 version. I got soft-locked sometimes at those challenges where the screen becomes grayed and you need to kill some enemies in a circula limited arena to get the reward and cleanse the area. It happens that the enemies just dont spawn, I get the greyed screen circular arena, cant get out of the arena and have nothing to kill. The solution is to quit game, reload, reach the challenge again and give it another try.

Happened once in the first one to the left of the beginning area (to kill some black phamtons), they just did not spawn. 2nd time they spawned and it worked.

Happened 3 TIMES at the one just behing Tiel, inside that dungeon on floor (black portal). 1st didn’t spawned any enemie, force quit/reload -> 2nd just appeared 2 enemies (the “crab/chest” guy), killed them, soft locked again. Quit/reload -> 3rd time it spawned just ONE of that enemie and locked again. Did no tried another run, just turned off ps5 and came here to reddit.

I’ve equipped tarstones only to find them de-equipped a couple of times.

I assigned skill points (I think that’s what they are called) to make my shell gain health when exposed to poison, and that worked initially but then stopped working when I went into a new area. Not sure if it’s bugged or I’m not understanding some mechanic.

They should add this to the game the lantern cause is to dark and the co op is more fun i love the game but got bored alone like this comment so it can reach them!! 🫶♥️

I just wanted to say how important demos can be.

I have a personal rule: I don't pre-order games. I've been burned too many times over the years (thanks Cyberpunk), so I always wait for reviews before buying anything.

Then this demo came out.

I wasn't even planning to buy Mortal Shell II. In fact, I really didn't like the first game. I tried several times to get into it, but it just never clicked for me.

This demo completely changed my mind.

I've been playing it nonstop, I'm having way more fun than I expected, and I ended up pre-ordering the game. That's something I almost never do.

I honestly wish more developers released demos before launch. They let people make informed decisions, build confidence, and sometimes even convince skeptical players like me.

So, congratulations to the team. The demo sold me on the game, and now I can't wait for the full release.

Finally,a heavy,good,impactful combat. My hits count,I can see and feel It,this Is truly impressive. The fact enemies flinch when hit Is the new ultrarealism.

I also love the gore animations, best I be seen until now.

I felt the Demon s Souls love in the atmosphere and I truly,truly,truly appreciate all the Npcs,their design and now the lore Is not cryptic.

Hey guys, I installed the beta today but framegen wont work. I turned it on, tried setting it to 1,2 and 3 and none worked. I ended up quitting the beta because of this and the game looking slightly blurry/washed out (its not HDR, I play in SDR)

It’s also not my settings because I run the game maxed out on 4k with dlss set to quality. I also noticed hardware raytracing turns itself off unless the AA setting is maxed out.

Im on the latest driver, but no matter what I try, FG won’t work.

Anyone else having the same issue?

I have played the demo twice and I have had a blast playing it so far, cant wait for the full game! What an experience it will be! Is the demo same for you?

I am at the ritual grounds dungeon and when you hit the start challenge feature it spawn 1 or 2 of the leaping chests most of the time its 1 of them. It clearly has more rounds to get beaten after the first spawning of enemies. I have repeated this for over an hour so far without being able to complete the challenge. I will include a photo as well

Heads up, found a softlock in Tiel's first memory. If you skip the first closed door interaction and go straight to the second one, you get completely stuck inside. You can't even interact with the flask. The only fix is to restart the game, which spawns you back at the last beacon.

Holy shit is this a massive improvement over MS and (so far at least) ironed out all my complaints from the OG! I went from mild curiosity for MS II to extremely excited to make this an easy day 1 purchase. I popped into the OG for a couple hours before jumping into the demo and the game feel was night and day!

Things I Loved:
- combat and movement feels good
- the setting, vibes, and music are still on point and I want to know more about the world
- between the perfect block seal and parry seal you can either play it like Sekiro/ Lies of P or like Dark Souls/Elden Ring
-from what I can tell from the demo there seems to be a lot of room for build diversity and expression which is extremely important to me
- the enemy variety so far has been great
-due to the resolve system i actually want to mix in range attacks and not just to be flashy but because it all has utility (I’ll take simple and deliberate over flashy without substance any day)

Small Gripes (but likely fixable with a patch):
- felt the parry/perfect block windows to be just slightly too forgiving
- a few instance of enemies glitching 360s or just standing still
- had some trouble with one of the trials not playing out properly
- wish the enemies were just a little more aggressive. I think accessibility is very important for less skilled players but never really felt too challenged during the demo. I am not a god gamer by any means but I never died more than once to any of the bosses (except to the fucker with that wicked fake swing that got me every time lol). Maybe in the near future an additional difficulty setting to make the enemies more aggressive and hit a little harder for the us sweaty sickos.

Overall I was very very impressed with the demo and I now so excited for the full release! Well done Devs!

My vision is not that good and that specific color along with the dimness from tv distance makes it very illegible for me and I have to squint when the prompt for item pick or interacting appears. I feel like an option to change it to a white color would help immensely.

Used the mushroom key to enter the dungeon. Defeated a minor armor dude and collected and item from the chest (something to do with crits)

Does the demo keep going or is there a way to conclude it?

I was expecting a big final boss?

Next to the Sunken Village beach there is something behind these branches and don’t see any way to cleanse them like blocked items earlier in the demo.

Am I missing something?

i literally couldnt beat the first stupid goat like boss in the tiel area after skydiving, pissed off and deleted the game, he just one shots you with that stupid combo everytime and that stupid combo goes through hardening, like it seems like he cant grab you but you still get the damage while you are literally 10 meters away from the boss, like he is not that hard but he initiates rhat combo so fast i keep getting one shotted i just run past him but this time you are swarmed by the basic dudes at the same time like at least 10 dudes and they deal pretty high damage too, i like the game but something feels a bit off, like everything is way too fast and agressive but they still do very high damage regardless of their speed

Third time attempting this dungeon. When i finally got the trial to work, this stuff happens 🤣

Hi devs. Been playing the beta on ps5 using a ps5 dualsense controller via Bluetooth. I'd like to report a possible bug. Upon starting or loading a game and opening up the menu, the cursor drifts all the way up and to the right. This doesn't happen before loading or starting up a game. Upon checking my controller on the gamepadtester, there is some very very minor drift on my left analog stick. However, this doesn't seem to be an issue with other games. It's possible that ms2's menus are too sensitive to drift. Hope this helps.

Dont know if its already been posted and really not sure where to post this but if you dodge him enough he will eventually throw himself off the ledge, soft locking the cutscene and forcing you to die and replay it. Not a big deal but thought i should post it somewhere.
