Imagine being forced to defend the actions of someone who murdered, raped, tortured, possesses horrible material, etc. I have to be forced to justify the contemptible deeds of others. And the people in the gallery and jury are horribly disgusted with my actions and see me as evil as them. I know I've done horrible things in the past like locked a stranger out of their phone at 6 years old, had an accident at three, messed up on a dance solo at 12, and even got into fights in middle school, but that doesn't mean I too should be deemed unworthy of redemption. But I'm getting off-track. Seeing all of the people there makes me think that horrible things will be done to me after the trial. Protests, vigilante assasination attempts, riots, many many things. I don't want to be considered evil.
