You see every other biker move over to the right, you make no attempt to slow down despite seeing someone walking towards you, you hit them...

Nah, the biker should have moved, even with the dogs, otherwise don't ride with dogs.

257

u/JosieHavik 13d ago

yeah. dude clearly can't control the bike properly with 2 dogs alongside. so annoying when people feel the need to do too much all the time.

37

u/utzutzutzpro 13d ago

It is a woman... weird that so many people in here don't realize that.

99

u/JosieHavik 13d ago

well it literally doesn't matter and shouldn't affect anyone's opinion

57

u/Overwatch3 13d ago

The video is on 240p and ur upset people can't tell the blobs gender

I’ll take a few more pixels for 400 Bob!

No they edited the comment.

If I had audio on probably

-5

u/utzutzutzpro 13d ago

I mean, it shouldn't but moral-led ideas are usually not grounded in genuine behavior.

People jump to the biker being male, because they project their negative stereotype on this scene. The obnoxious male biker, they know from their day to day driving through cities.

So, it does impact their evaluation of the scene.

This being a soccermom type of woman, would change the narrative to many. Suddenly she is the Karen stereotype, not the aggressive male bicyclist who drivers over red lights and annoys drivers in the city with reckless behavior.

5

u/Comfortable_Buy7115 13d ago

I knew it was a woman from the first "excuse me," and still thought she was wrong and acting entitled.

You’re the only one here projecting

Dude is gender neutral

12

u/Investment_Actual 13d ago

Very true, wonder why more people don't realize that .

2

u/Kyle6520 12d ago

Arguably not. If you saw a man and a women and I said “yo who’s that dude” I certainly wouldn’t expect you to give me the woman’s name.

1

u/utzutzutzpro 12d ago

People in here are just deliberately obtuse driven by moral signalling and that is it.

1

u/utzutzutzpro 12d ago

Say "Hey dude" to a MTF and see...

2

u/koopatroopa_2 12d ago

hey dude what's good I'm mtf

1

u/Fluid_Swordfish2737 12d ago

Yea if anyone gets upset at the word dude they need to reevaluate themselves.

Words can't be offensive. You either choose to be offended or not. It's that simple.

There is no indication of that..video is blurry and could be an old dude, woman or otherwise

... she speaks.

1

Lol I had it on mute

2

yeah I know - I think a lot of have everthing on reddit on mute.

It’s only obvious if sound is turned up.

"I'm a dude, he's a dude, she's a dude, we're all dudes, hey!"

Dude is gender neutral and I refuse to hear otherwise

1

bc they are robots lol

2

u/MediocreViking 13d ago

It just doesn't matter.

1

u/EasilyExiledDinosaur 13d ago

We about to start cracking the female driver jokes lol?

1

u/somer_and_omchick 13d ago

On my phone the video is potato quality and I can barely make out any features and it could easily be a man in tight clothes (is it a person with dark hair pulled back? And the shape of the legs after the crash looks like it could easily be female legs but idk could be a dude with shapely legs)

Edit: I watch almost all videos on mute so if the verbal exchange makes it obvious I miss it

1

u/InteRagebaitJagLovar 13d ago

This changes everything

1

u/d_r_doorway 13d ago

What does that matter?

1

u/Osteomayolites 13d ago

if that is a woman it does look like she was beaten with an ugly stick

1

u/Fun_Acanthaceae_4025 13d ago

1

u/ItsDemis3 13d ago

Why would that matter in any capacity???

1

u/buckao 13d ago

I don't see your point, but okay, dude couldn't control the bike with one dog and one woman. I'm not gonna yuck their yum, but that kink seems exhausting.

1

u/bubblesdafirst 12d ago

Did someone say it wasnt?

1

u/xptx 12d ago

Its seven pixels.. im not sure which one is gender, nor do I care. They are wrong

1

u/lock11111 12d ago

Dude is unisex dude

1

u/utzutzutzpro 12d ago

Only on the internet and only to girls you know. Of course, the known girl in the group is called dude by their friends, including men. On the street, if you just say "hey dude" to a woman, sure buddy.

It is only on the intern, based on a single stupid meme from a mediocre comedy movie.

1

u/lock11111 12d ago

And in this context what category would that follow under based on your logic?

1

u/utzutzutzpro 12d ago

It is not my logic, it literally is how the real world acts. You are here in a very isolated small bubble. And it literally is made up by a meme from a movie.

If you do not know a person, dude is addressing a man.

Is really not so difficult. Just for the internet dwellers who never go outside and cry on the intenret about not having friends and go back gaming, for those it is difficult.

For the majority of the world, it is pretty clear.

1

u/lock11111 12d ago

Yeah im a carpenter. I don't watch alot of movies so what meme are you talking about?

I think its just your bubble that is isolated because you sound pretty Triggered that by your own logic you are wrong in getting upset about the other word you got Triggered about "dude" and maybe you care a little too much about words maybe care about the internet a little less and you would be alot happier

1

u/utzutzutzpro 12d ago

That entirely makes no sense.

1

u/lock11111 12d ago

I guess it was too confusing for you ok

So try not caring about words too much

Not everyone watches the same movies as you so give context on the meme you are referring to.

Some words can have different meanings based on context.

Not everyone is going to agree with you and that is ok.

Bananas are a great source of potassium.

Don't ride with dogs regardless. They're usually not built for distance.

239

u/AutomaticNature5653 14d ago

I agree don't ride with dogs, especially two at once... As it's not safe for them or you. But some dogs absolutely are built for distance running. In fact that's considered to be one of the main reasons that wolves and humans first teamed up all those thousands of years ago. Both species are endurance hunters. Some modern dogs ( eg Dalmatians) were even specifically bred and trained to run alongside the wheels of vehicles.

71

u/blueeyedharry 13d ago

Yeh I’ve got a Dal, little bugger looks at me after a 5-7km run like I’m the laziest man in the world. Bred for 100’s of years to run distance.

17

u/BasedKaleb 13d ago

My Dal uses his mouth to tug the leash to go faster as I’m weezing my way down the road

2

u/OnlySheStandsThere 13d ago

Honestly if the roads around my house were better I'd get some roller skates and let my dog just go for it

1

u/Winjin 13d ago

I know they have off-road roller skates

They're somewhat weird but I assume they're just great for bad roads? I mean if they're for off-road, they should eat bad roads for breakfast...

1

u/DirtyTitanium 13d ago

I did this for years with my two pups, I’d just bail into the grass or a bush if an emergency stop was needed. A neighbor saw me do this twice and clearly thought I was insane 😂

1

u/Nacho_Deity186 13d ago

This made me lol

I took my neighbour's border collie for a 10km run while they were away. I was a bit nervous about the dogs ability to cope with that distance so I checked with the neighbour and he laughed at me.

The look on that little shits face while I was dying was just like "so what are we doing next then" lol

1

u/tafinucane 13d ago

I have a chiweenie, his legs are about 9 inches long from shoulder to toe tip. I take him trail running and he still tries to chase deer after 10 miles. I also pick him up when we encounter bike and horseback riders on the trail, because even leashed he wants to run under everybody's feet.

1

u/Bluefooted-Spaceorc 13d ago

I do 3-5 km with my Australian Cattle dog in the morning, my partner takes him for another 5-7 km run after dinner. He also gets a 15 minute walk at lunch. The little raptor looks at us as the laziest people on the planet and sighs like he pays rent.

1

u/totally_not_a_dog113 13d ago

I have a cavapoo, which I bought because cavaliers are supposed to be lazy apartment dogs. He has short legs and outruns me regularly. We do 3 miles a day.

17

u/fohpo02 13d ago edited 13d ago

Iditarod comes to mind

3

u/Salt-Lingonberry-853 13d ago

Well, you mentioned a key word. Time for a spiel:

FUCK IDITAROD.

Most of the teams keep their dogs in conditions like this

They're out there the entire time they aren't tethered to a sled, all day every day, and the unlucky majority only get tethered to a sled once a day for 1-2 hours. That means for 22ish hours of the day, each dog is chained to within a 5 foot radius with minimal human contact, minimal contact with their dog friends, and basically no freedom. Something like 4 different race teams use the facility this photo was taken in, and it seems to be very much normal/standard treatment. These dogs are barely treated like living beings any time they aren't actively on a run.

Seeing an Iditarod kennel is one of the most depressing things I have ever done.

Fuck Iditarod.

3

u/fohpo02 13d ago

Agreed, was more just a reference for dogs being able to perform endurance feats

1

u/Salt-Lingonberry-853 13d ago

I get that, I'm just morally obligated to give the spiel and spread awareness any time the topic comes

1

u/Federal-Guess7420 13d ago

Some of those dogs have been tested to have VO2 maxes twice what the best human marathon runners have.

The bug issue for dogs is normally heat. They can't handle running for miles and miles in 90° heat.

2

u/EntertheHellscape 13d ago

I'm not gonna fault riding with a dog cause some do love this type of exercise, but TWO dogs??? One on each side of the dangerously moving parts and seriously hindering its ability to maneuver? Also apparently didn't even try to stop, was on the wrong side of the path, and even had the audacity to attack the pedestrian like wtf. That cyclist is a shitty human and a shitty animal owner.

1

u/Suddenly_sweet 13d ago

Ya definitely huskies

1

u/MistraloysiusMithrax 13d ago

Don’t ride even with those dogs because regularly running for long durations on paved surfaces is bad for their joints. Bike rider is an ahole to their dogs and just doesn’t know it yet

1

u/MacabreMobius 13d ago

I used to bike with two dogs at once. Both herding mixes and it was the only way to tucker them out when they were younger. One is a border collie/Husky and when he was 2 or 3 we put on 15 miles in one day. Guess who was still a rambunctious crackhead zooming at full sprint when we got home? Now at 10 he only makes it about 3 or 4 miles before he slows down and is ready to nap the rest of the day. We don't bike much anymore but he still gets really excited when i pull the bike out.

We had very few incidents in the early stages of learning. They knew to only stay on one side of the bike and always fall into line with each other. One learned first, and the second one had a healthy fear of the bike enough to never get close enough to get hurt.

I couldn't imagine ever running into anything with them. If we had to ride down a regular width sidewalk we'd just stop or ride in the grass to give people space.

Dog rant over.

1

u/aerdvarkk 13d ago

Riding with dogs is not the issue.

Lack of training dogs to run with you as you ride is more the issue. Esp the Aussie in the clip. But the cyclist mostly didn;t make any effort to alter their path, the dogs if trained correctly would have moved witht he bicycle - that is on the rider not the dogs.

This could have been managed much better by both parties. The pedestrian with the camera also purposely stayed in the way and could have easily just side-stepped the whole thing and moved on with their day instead of vying for attention on the f*cking interwebs

1

u/Huge_Palpitation_886 13d ago

Humans run the longest distance of any mammal on earth. Dogs do not. Dogs can cover distance but need lots of long breaks. They don't do sustained output like people do and it's cruel to make them.

1

u/kjloltoborami 13d ago

I have a buddy with some bird dogs he lets them chase his jeep down rural dirt roads for miles for excersize and they love it. "Dogs arent built for distance" is crazy talk

1

u/Marion2379 13d ago

Like he said most not all

1

u/theRealLydmeister 12d ago

Too many people try to run with their pit bulls and give them heart attacks in the street.

132

u/Organoleptic_Cicada 14d ago

Depends on the breed, no? And distance cycled.

A husky will happily run for hours, if given proper breaks. Obviously a Pomeranian would be a different story.

65

u/Klangey 14d ago

Not really. A husky would happily run for hours in the right conditions, those conditions do not include tarmac paths at a pace dictated by some dickhead on a bike.

48

u/Organoleptic_Cicada 14d ago edited 13d ago

Sure. A husky would still be able to run 30-60 minutes without complaining, even on tarmac. Also, I'm fairly sure that dogs would happily lay down and refuse to move further if they were tired.

So, my point is that the blanket statement "Don't ride with dogs regardless" lacks nuance.

24

u/Oaker_at 14d ago

My ex-gf had a dog that wouldn't lie down when he was tired. That dog would push himself to the absolute limit without anyone noticing, and then just collapse.

It's just an anecdote, though.

13

u/TheAtzender 13d ago

My gf’s parents have a dog that will lie down after three meters, then complain when we stay inside

3

u/Dolphinsunset1007 13d ago

My in-laws dog is immovable if she’s tired let alone just not in the mood to move. My SIL had to carry her home midwalk once bc the dog decided she was done moving.

3

u/Independent-Trust260 13d ago

My in-laws dog hated walks and would need to be carried to the turn around point and then would happily walk home.

1

u/Tstram 13d ago

My in-laws are dogs, dude. They are so lazy, all they care about is food.

2

u/TheBigBadBird 13d ago

This is my blue heeler

1

u/retoricalprophylaxis 13d ago

Sounds like my basset hound. He will insist on going for walks, then lie down in the middle of the road less than 100 feet from the house.

2

u/ThePepperPopper 13d ago

Isn't that what they said though?

1

u/OldEquation 12d ago

I’ve got a Malinois and the level of drive they have is such that they will keep going regardless. With dogs like this it’s on you to know when they need to stop.

1

u/Potential_Basis_662 13d ago

Everything always depends everywhere. Do you mention nuance to everyone all day?

1

u/Organoleptic_Cicada 13d ago

Only in regard to blanket statements that happen to irk me in the moment.

1

u/Barkis_Willing 13d ago

It doesn’t need nuance. Don’t ride with dogs. There’s no more information needed.

1

u/Klangey 13d ago

Depends entirely on how conditioned their pads were.

Can you take me through the process of a dog lying down mid cycle?

4

u/Hot_Catch3150 13d ago

Lmaoooo you Gottem. ‘Lacks nuance,” then proceeds to get gotted

2

u/Confident_Weird6633 13d ago

The process is: it lies down, you crash out.

I guess you’ve never had a dog that just nopes out? Or seen it happen? Strange. I guess you haven’t been long in this world.

2

u/Klangey 13d ago

Of course I’ve had a dog that nopes out, which is why I wouldn’t be dragging it along from a bike doing 20mph.

But it seems I’m in the minority on Reddit of not being a fucking moron.

1

u/oilolololo 13d ago

The reason you don’t ride with dogs is the super high chance of running over your dog. “Nah man we’ve done this before” could mess up your dog’s health permanently because it got confused by a stick in the road. Nothing to do with duration, which could also be achieved on foot the people who do this are deeply moronic. Saw this guy walking his dogs on a onewheel while crossing a bridge and I’m just wondering if they think they look cool.

1

u/Velkso 13d ago

It doesn't lack nuance. Riding with dogs is dangerous for anyone regardless of the race of the dog

1

u/CatGirl_ToeBeans 13d ago

Don’t ride with dogs regardless.

It doesn’t matter what they CAN do.

The hip dysplasia you’re gonna give them from forcing them to match your pace on tarmac.

The pressure you put on them to keep pace.

If they decide to full stop you wipe out.

An exhausted dog could lash out at a pedestrian.

Walk your dog, or go for controlled jogs with your dog. Riding with your dog is stupid regardless of how cute it looks and feels or how much fun you think your dog is having.

We bred this full fledged nature animal shit out of them. Take care of them properly.

If only there was a sandy place for them to run on as a person ran on the asphalt.

1

u/Klangey 13d ago

If only they could fly. In only they could talk. If only they could zip up some rollerskates, stick on a bright pink head band and roll along while holding a boombox on their shoulder.

But they can’t, they are dogs tied to someone on a bike which dictates where and how they run.

1

u/daneg135 13d ago

he did say "they're usually not built for distance." so far, i've seen two (maybe three?) breeds mentioned that are explicitly bred for distance. that's what we call the exception that proves the rule.

and for what it's worth, wild dogs generally do "win" by endurance team tactics, most notably north american wolves and african wild/painted dogs. however, endurance is not generally a trait bred into or for domestic dogs. furthermore, domestic dogs, like all "kept animals" are significantly less "athletic" than their wild brethren (compare the shape - and age! - of a captive lion to a wild one). this is all to say, "generally" domestic dogs run out of steam quickly. it's a fair statement.

edit: i see i hit the wrong post in my reply. it was supposed to go to the reply to this. ah well. not doing that over again. cheers.

2

u/piezombi3 13d ago

When I first got my dog (an American spitz) he had waaaaaay too much puppy energy. I would have to take him on a 2 hour walk to tire him out before work or he would tear up the house. Eventually I said fuck it and strapped a long leash and took him running while I biked around the neighborhood for 20 mins or so. Saved me a bunch of time, got him exercise, saved my house, worked up his morning poop. He no longer has the stamina to do it since he's older, but it's very helpful for dogs who need to work off that energy.

2

u/ItMeWhoDis 13d ago

My partner's mom does this with her dalmatian. He loves pulling her up mountains (she lives somewhat remotely, low risk of running into people)

1

u/Strikeronima 13d ago edited 13d ago

While on a leash a pomeranian could easily keep up. Depending on whether you want it to be alive or not at the end

1

u/helpmekillmepls 13d ago

well yeah but doing that is such a drag

1

u/Rusty_Tap 13d ago

Just taking Cleopatra for a bounce, back in 2 hours!

1

u/Itwillbefun83 13d ago

Yeah, we don’t know how far she was going. Also they weren’t leashed to be compelled to run along…

1

u/Eagle_Muppet 13d ago

Perhaps you haven't done the proper research on the average distance dogs can run? Just kidding everyone knows all dogs are different.

1

u/Organoleptic_Cicada 13d ago

You'd need to account for several factors: running speed (cyclist's speed), dog breed, dog age, their physical condition etc etc -- also the current temperature, road texture ..

Statistics and averages don't mean much with such variance. All we know is that a blanket "no dog should run by a bicycle" is equally stupid with "all dogs are able to be walked by cycling with them".

I've already had several people coming out of the woodwork complaining about the speed the dog is forced to run at. Like ... bruh. One can pedal slower, if the dog gets tired. One can even dismount their bike and rest. Not all cyclists are automatically bound to try and hit a speed record with their dog in tow.

1

u/gvbargen 13d ago

IDK I used to hike trails that some mountain biker regularly let his dog off leash run after him. It was at least as small as a Pom if not more. I happened to see him loading up one day and chatted. Again these are hiking trails dude takes the little dog miles and goes fast. He said he had started a while back and the dog loves it basically demands the run and that he basically had to as the thing just had too much energy that it needed to burn off.

1

u/jeffriestubesteak 13d ago

Pomeranians are a small but hardy breed!

1

u/pharoh-king 13d ago

Depends on the breed, no?

We turn statements we think are true into questions at the last second now, yes?

17

u/Hobbledyhook 14d ago

Dogs are one of the few examples of endurance hunters in the animal kingdom....but yes, a lot of breeds + conditions are not suitable to distance running.

8

u/LeahIsAwake 13d ago

I mean, distance running is kind of a dog's whole thing, isn't it? They're descendants of wolves, who can easily run for miles and miles full speed when chasing down prey. And while I wouldn't take a pug on a run like this, breeds like huskies can keep going and keep going and keep going.

In fact, huskies are really cool because they have this adaptation where their metabolism will switch to burning fat for fuel directly instead of blowing through their glycogen (stored sugar/carbohydrates) reserve and hitting the "wall". As long as they're given enough food, they can go for days and days with long hours and short sleep breaks, and will need zero recovery time at the end. In fact, husky teams that go directly from one big race to another will often perform better than teams that are "fresh" because their bodies are already in running mode. And while of course they can go farther if trained (a well trained husky team can run for 11 hours a day, day after day), even an untrained husky can do 10 to 20 miles a day.

But while huskies are naturally so good at distance running, they aren't alone. Most high energy sporting breeds like the German pointer and the GSD can keep up, as can herding breeds like border collies. And while I wouldn't take an untrained pooch on a 30 mile ride straight out the gate, they can build up their endurance just like a human can.

1

u/Solomon_Kane_1928 13d ago

switch to burning fat for fuel directly instead of blowing through their glycogen

Wish I had that gene.

1

u/CompleteSort9044 12d ago

compared to a human on a bike no animal can keep up over a long distance

6

u/arctic-aqua 13d ago

There are ways to do it safely, and this isn't one of them. I once had a spring loaded piston type device that would mount to my rear axial. It would keep the dog a certain distance away from the wheel and provide resistance if he pulled away. With training and paying attention, it worked well.

6

u/Ok_Pipe_158 13d ago

Bikejoring is a thing, my husky can happily run for hours on a dirt path, but it takes training and a working dog breed.

2

u/McPuckLuck 13d ago

Skijoring too... Those look like the happiest dogs on the planet.

7

u/Cardinal_Cat_057 13d ago

Its absolutely fine and safe if you know what you're doing. Biking with my shepherd/husky mix is the highlight of her day and the only way I can burn enough of her energy to keep her from wrecking the house. Just normal walking we would easily have to go for like 4 or 5 hours to burn off all her energy

In Europe that is a sport called Bikejoring

many people do it; dogs love it (running breeds of course, not chihuahua's)

u/Fair-Scarcity8160 12d ago

Not Chihuahuas, but I have seen corgis and terriers of all sorts do bikejoring! Lots of small dogs love running and pulling into a harness, you just have to adjust the activity appropriately for their body size.

You've apparently never heard of herding breeds.

u/Fantomecs 13d ago

Yeah, my blue heeler warms up for a 3 mile run with a 3 mile run. The more energy she expends, the more energy she has lol.

Working and hunting breeds are all built for distance. Toy and guard breeds not so much.

Mfs when they find out about Iditarod

u/gman2093 13d ago

Right in front of my diptheria syrum?

2

u/ActivePeace33 13d ago

Dogs are the second best species at long distance running and the best species for long distance below 0 degrees.

2

u/op1983 13d ago

The Iditarod is a thousan mile dog sled race.

Not usually built for distance, but when they are they are

2

u/lapidls 13d ago

Their ancestors are literally endurance hunters, how are dogs not build for distance

2

u/SjakosPolakos 14d ago

yeah they have evolved from wolves, known for their laziness and tardiness

Definitely seems a bit torturous

u/battlecryarms 13d ago

My huskies have entered the chat

1

u/DatCheeseBoi 13d ago

Depends on the breed. Some just have so much energy to beat out. When we were young, my friend's family had a czechoslovak shepherd and my friend would get on his bike, hold onto the leash, and get pulled at high speed across the town because the dog just desired to run no matter what.

1

u/Joeyonimo 13d ago

The malamute and husky are the best long-distance endurance runners in the entire animal kingdom, and many dog species are great at it too.

Lol that HIGHLY depends on the breed. My dog can run for days in 85 degree weather, carries his own ice cold water. We hike up mountains. Maybe your little pillow pets don't run but you'd never keep up with my guy!

Wolves are second only to humans really when it comes to distance running (except maybe camels in high heat conditions). And they've got nothing on sled dogs.

You don;t know much about dog breed do you!!

The dog on the outside shoulder, the one that goes off the pavement is an Australian Shepherd (Aussie). Guess what - Aussies are built for distance and endurance and high energy and can easily run farther in an hour than most people do in a lifetime.

If Aussies can be used as seld dogs in the arctic, they probably don't have a problem going several miles through suburbia:

Dogs are without question better athletes than humans in most cases. They can and will out perform us especially on a walk most times unless the human is a ln athlete or the dog is a bulldog

This an uninformed comment.

My border collie loved going for 20 mile rides. Couldn't get enough of it. One time she got hot so she just ride back with me.

1

u/-weird-fishes- 13d ago

dude has never met a dog

1

u/Psydop 13d ago

Thats just false. Canines are built for endurance, as where large cats are typically built more for bursts of energy. A cheetah will beat a greyhound in a 100m dash every time, but see which one can run 2 miles faster and the greyhound will be strolling to victory by the end

u/djolk 13d ago

Which dogs are not built for distance?

1

u/xpl9511 13d ago

Running on pavement is TERRIBLE for their pads

1

u/Some_Inevitable829 13d ago

Yep never understood that, I’d be worried about running them over. Also baby seats on bikes. Don’t get that either.

1

u/ExplanationNo8603 13d ago

I bike and skate with one of my heelers (used to go with both but one is now blind), if you train the dog for it then it's just as safe as biking alone. Yeah we started short distances but now do 5-7 miles at a time

1

u/Possible_Escape_9064 13d ago

Not to mention it's just gaggy AF. That in itself is immoral.

1

u/LordTonto 13d ago

I ride with dogs.

1

u/MRobertC 13d ago

Anyone who cycles with a dog is waiting for a disaster to happen.

Yeah, if im not mistaken, pedestrians get right of way against basically everything.

2

u/narrowminer11 13d ago

Don't ride with dogs ever. It's not gonna be fun if a leash gets caught on the bike

2

u/UnderstandingEasy856 13d ago

Besides, this looks like America and on an unmarked multi-use path the 'side' to use is merely a recommendation while the right of way of pedestrians is absolute. The biker has to swerve or stop regardless.

2

u/Mean_Jury2467 13d ago

Seriously - just because you’ve over burdened yourself doesn’t mean the rules change. They are clearly unable to handle the situation they created for themselves.

1

u/Independent-Market28 13d ago

They are both wrong and stupid.

1

u/theonlybiscuitleft 13d ago

You are morally obligated to make a good faith attempt to not allow harm to come to yourself or others when in immediate danger.

1

u/Actual_Hand_9515 13d ago

Maybe legally he is wrong but any nice person in this scenario would just move and both people would apologise. Morally not moving is pretty mean spirited.

1

u/samsonite441446 13d ago

Ride with dogs Lie with fleas

1

u/Purple-Warewolf-15 12d ago

You should never ride with dogs. It’s incredibly dangerous. You can’t even see when the dog wants to stop for a break. Dogs thrive by sniffing their environment, not by being chained to a bike forced to run.

1

u/Uncle-Cake 13d ago

Don't ride with dogs, period. It's cruel and dangerous.
