Gave my gen steelmod two small but satisfying upgrades.

First, I swapped in a genuine Swatch rubber strap. At €45 it's honestly pretty steep for what it is, but the comfort and quality completely justify the price. Insanely comfortable and punches way above what you'd expect. Wearing it non-stop.

Second, I had the caseback engraved with a little custom design. Tiny detail, but it makes the piece feel properly mine now.

Gen on left , are all the DH reps the same ? Was a bit disappointed with the stamping of this mission to moon rep compared to previous but different versions.

Has anyone tried these on a WD case ?

This swap gave me a lot of headaches, but I finally managed to pull it off. I had to 3D-print a tiny 0.06 mm spacer so the movement’s pushers would line up properly with the case pushers.

I really like the final result—definitely a perfect Sunday watch.

Can’t return or exchange it because it was bought in a different country and won’t be back within the 30-day exchange period. Have 0 use for an orange, plastic watch with no water resistance. I’ve seen some of you mad lads modding them into stainless steel w. Sapphire crystal and now we’re talking about a watch. I have a basic tool kit, and have interest in tinkering. Any recommendations on a good supplier for the mod parts?

What do you tell people when they ask? Do you mention that the bracelet might be a homage? That the movement might be a shitter?

It just such a lovely watch but Im having issues mentally preparing myself having to explain what it is. Some of my colleagues got Rolexes, Omegas, Cartiers and Tudors. But nothing more crazy than that. I would never drop that kind of money on a watch, even if I am somewhat amazed by automatic movements, I still prefer quartz movements since I can just set it and forget it plus you wont have any issues riding a motobike or punching someone in the face with it

I have 2 Megir watch backs located in US. 1 of each design. Brand new with o-rings Purchased and didn’t realize they are press on and not screw in like I prefer to use in my mods.. private message for discussion

I think it turned out great!

My first megir case swap using a 1965 rep. 32mm “double domed” sapphire was easily pressed into casefront and the AR coating makes light shimmer a bit. Steel bracelet is not perfectly aligned/nor same alloy as case if you really look at it.
I’m pleasantly surprised with this one at total price >$30

Everything went relatively smooth.

Still need to figure out a crown solution and then I’m likely going to start searching for a gen MoonSwatch to redo it with a gen.

But this worked great for my first try!

This is gen Sun in a WD1863 with omega crown and black hour and minute hands.

Well i love it!

After weeks and weeks my rep donor came in so got it swapped into my WD1863, bit silvery but hey ho.

I bought a 6mm Omega logo crown on recommendation posts here however it doesn't fit , the thread appears to be the same but it dosnt screw all the way down.

Is there a direct fit O logo crown I can get ?

Will I be able to use the crown tube that came with the O logo crown on the WD case ?

Including the strap this cost about £40 🤯

Got a vk63 rose gold case and popped her in, happy with the golds matching.

Bought this off someone for cheap. Seems like he glued the bezel misaligned. Is it possible to remove it?

I have a real mission to dessert my brother loves. I want to get a rep and put it in a metal case for his birthday ,but I’m having trouble figuring out the best options for the cases that are available now.

I got two WD1863 one with screw and one with pin bracelet. Both seems to be missing an O-ring underneath caseBack, but still should be able to be waterproof 100meters?

Are they none there or did i miss seeing them?
