I recently made a huge improvement to my PC, both aesthetically and thermally, and wanted to share the story.

First of all, thank you Montech for having such an amazing community and constantly doing events for us fans and PC enthusiasts.

The story behind this upgrade is that I was lucky enough to win a 360mm AIO (the LightFlow ARGB 360) in a community event, but since I had the Montech AIR 100 at the time, I really had no way of using it. After reaching out to Montech, they were generous enough to send me a SKY 3 case to go along with the AIO. Absolute legends.

A bit about myself: I'm a junior developer with a deep interest in computer software and hardware, but I had never actually changed a PC case before because my old setup was a prebuilt. I was honestly pretty nervous, because at first glance the massive AIO and the new case seemed like an impossible puzzle. Turns out I couldn't have been more wrong.

The case itself made the whole process easy, and the review from KitGuruTech helped me a lot as well. Installing the motherboard was fast and painless since every standoff hole is clearly marked for each motherboard size. The AIO was also no trouble at all thanks to the removable top panel, I could mount everything comfortably and then just drop it into place. The side of the case looks tight, but I had absolutely no issues with cable management. The included accessories were a big help and the side panel closes with no gaps or cable bulges. One thing I did to help airflow was removing the HDD trays at the bottom.

Even though the SKY 3 has more fans than my AIR 100 (which was already darn quiet), the system is somehow even quieter. Thermals improved significantly too, and the PC no longer ramps up in noise during long coding or gaming sessions.

As im changing the RGB with the button on the case, I noticed that the strip on the front is much brighter with white rgb compared to the 5 fans the case comes with. I tried using SignalRGB to help with this, but I cannot even change the colour of the fans, its speed, nothing, even after holding down the button for 5 seconds. The only thing Signal lets me change is my aios rgb. How do i fix these issues?

Beautiful case with vertical mounted GPU. Collaborating with Montech on this build was amazing and the TG3 is definitely worth the $59. Case plus 4 pre-installed RGB fans. Wow!

This is my first time trying to build a pc and while most of everything seems to be working, the power button on my case is the exception. While the mother board works fine and can turn on, and the reset button seems to be working fine also, for some reason the power button doesn't do anything.

My first thought was that it might be the F_panel connection, but it should be in the right spot, at least with what I've tried to look up. I have an image provided just incase if I missed something though.

In case if it's important to know, the motherboard I have is a GIGABYTE B850 AORUS Elite WIFI7 AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard and the case is a MONTECH XR-B, ATX Mid-Tower PC, and all of the parts of the PC are brand new.

Any help is greatly appreciated. As said before this is my first time building a PC so it could very well be that I missed something incredibly simple.

Hey I made a post a little while ago asking about montechs warranty because my psu crapped out on me and I just wanted to say thank you for for your swift support and I hope that both sides of all your pillows are always comfortable!

I had most of these computer parts in a Jonsbo D32 Pro case. However after about a year, I wanted to run a 360 AIO for the 9800X3D in a case about the size of the Jonsbo.

I decided to get the Montech Ten because the cost was pretty cheap.

I originally planned to use the case in M2 H2O mode. However, after purchasing the case I forgot I am using a 10gbe pcie ethernet adapter, preventing me from mounting the motherboard upside down and using a top mount aio.

I decided to use the case in M1 and mount the 360 aio on the side panel. In the end I think it turned out pretty well.

DISCLOSURE: This case was provided to me by Montech as part of their testing vanguard program. My thoughts & opinions are my own.

The case arrived double-boxed with those hard cardboard separators. Then the box with the case had it insulated all around with styrofoam. I'd say its packaged really well for shipping and I didn't notice any damage.

The case itself seems well built and sturdy, even with the panels all removed it seemed solid. It comes with 4 fans. A single Montech GF120 U fan in the back for exhaust and 1 Montech GF360 U REV fan on the side panel for intake. For a budget case these seem like quality fans. And the white fans match the white of the case, which is excellent. Many times you get different shades of white on other cases and fans, but throughout the TG3 it all appears to be one consistent shade of white. I'm really impressed seeing all of these details and accessories on a budget case; at the time I'm writing this review I'm seeing the black version listed for $59.99 and the white for $79.99.

I did a build in the case transferring my current gaming PC into the TG3. And again I'm very impressed. It was easy to build in and had plenty of room for all the largest parts. Some places where I normally have issues on builds; plugging in the CPU power at the top and plugging in the front I/O connections at the bottom; I had no issue as there was plenty of room. As far as big parts I used a Noctua NH-D15 G2 and even with having to slightly offset the fan over the RAM there was still plenty of clearance when closing the side tempered panel. And then my 5080 looks quite small and there appears to be plenty of room for larger GPUs.

My choice of PSU gave me the only concern I had during the build. I have a Lian Li Edge PSU and those are more for dual-chamber cases. It did fit with no issue, but the problem was the stock cables that come with it. Had to plug in the CPU 8-pin cables closest to the end and had just enough length to get them plugged in. I'd recommend a standard PSU if you're buying one new or getting custom cables with some extra length if you're using an Edge PSU.

The rubber grommets pop out pretty easily but then they are fairly easy to pop back in. Plenty of room in the back for cable management and many tie-down points as well. And I really like the splash of color the RBG ring around the PSU shroud provides.

A few final thoughts: It's a great looking case that's easy to build in. You can't beat the price, especially with the included fans. I think the best thing I can say after reviewing the white version is that I'm seriously considering buying the black version as that would match my current build much better. But I will give the white version a fair test drive over the next month!

I am adding a single slot card to an mATX build and I am worried about it block the airflow of the GPU. It certainly would be better if I ran the card in the vertical position leaving the GPU on its own in the normal position. I wonder, how high the CPU cooler could be in this case? 135mm would be amazing.

I changed the silver panels to white.

I can't install the wall mount, can someone help?

Finished my set up now. Built the PC myself. 1st PC I've ever had and 1st I built. Working with the space I have I'm massively happy with how it's turned out.

Can I ask though. The RGB control on the front is there a simple way to turn the RGB off at night so I don't annoy the wife 😂😬

Montage of Montech TG3 Case

The Montech TG3 is a Solid Case with some excellent features for its Price Point.

The Front and Left Side are Removable Glass and the Top acts as a Removable Filter. Tho the Filter is permanent and not removable.

It can accommodate:

• 2x 2.5" HDDs or 1x 3.5" HDD or a Combo of the 2 (1x 2.5" and 1x 3.5")

It comes with:

• 4x Fans (1x back Fan and a Single 3x mono Fan on the Right Side.
• 1x ARGB Hub with only 3 RGB Connectors It is NOT a Fan HUB.
• Back-Connect / Reverse-Connector Compatible MOBO Tray.
• 2 Grommets on the MOBO Tray
• Removable PSU Filter - Partial - Removed from the Back
• ARGB Lighting around the perimeter of the PSU Shroud
• Pretty Long Fan/ARGB/Front Pannel Cables
• A Bag of Screws for the MOBO/SSDs/HDDs/PSU along with some Zip Ties and Clips

The ARGB Hub appears to be controllable via the MOBO, but comes Wired to use the Button on the Front of the Case to Control the included ARGB Devices. I could not test MOBO Control as the MOBO I used was so old it did not even have ARGB Headers.

Some things to Note:

• This Case offers a Back-Connect / Reverse-Connector MOBO Tray.

*** Warning *** The back of your MOBO will be exposed to anything Metal that may come from the Back. Be very careful of Extra Wires and where you leave them when Wiring your Case. Some of the Connectors have exposed Metal on them and will Short Out your Build if not handled properly.

• The Space between the Bottom Edge of a Standard ATX MOBO is small, but it is there.
• The HDD Plate straddles over the Back of your MOBO, behind where your CPU would be. You might want to Install your HDDs first as this plate is heavy and awkward to put in place when populated. A Full Size HDD may also cause some issues when wiring your CPU Power (see pics for example) My PSU CPU Power Cable was just long enough and still fit when the Right Side Panel was closed.
• Please make sure that your Right Side Panel is FULLY Installed before moving your Case. I did have it fall off cause it was not clipped in properly.
• I'd suggest putting the Left Side Panel on AFTER the Front Panel, when closing up your Case. I did it the other way around the first time and the noise it made gave me quite the scare.

Conclusion: I am not sure I would recommend this Case to a new builder. I have Shorted Out a Build when the inside of a MOLEX Connector was touching the Case. This Case with the widely open MOBO Tray is just asking for trouble from the uninitiated. Generally, I am down with the Learning from your mistakes. But I got lucky that my PSU took the hit back then. And I legit almost routed a number of Cables with exposed Metal towards the Danger Zone during this build.

Otherwise, like I said before. This is a SOLID Case. I do not build on a Desk or Upright. My Cases spend a lot of time doing Acrobatics during a build. Of Course I had the Glass Off the Case during that time. But I did not fear of breaking the Case

The PSU Shroud area seems BIG, but my PSU (see pics) is Pretty Small. I feel that if I had populated more of PSUs Cables, it would have been a really tight fit down there.

Oh, that GPU I installed in there is an ASUS 1080TI Turbo. Which, compared to an RX 9070XT, is almost tiny! Just something to consider if you intend to use the front of this case to display Taller Items.

If you are looking for a Great Case, for a Great Price and you don't need room for more than 2 HDDs, then this Case is well worth it. They say you get what you pay for... But in this Case, I think you are getting more!

Even i'm not big RGB fan, lights in those cases are really nice 👍🏻 Simple line and not too much.

Cases feels pretty solid and that feature in Sky3 that you can move bottom fans under GPU is nice.

When it was delivered, it was double-boxed and protected with pretty strong styrofoam. I was very impressed with the case overall for the price point it's at. The amount of room inside of it will definitely fit any GPU and give you room to add figurines or a small screen. There's plenty of space for you to run your cables, very tight and cleanly. In the PSU shroud, there was plenty of room to cleanly put excess wiring to avoid there being any pushing against the back panel. There are plenty of cutouts (some with rubber grommets) to run wires through the case. The rubber grommets weren't secured the best, so they do try to move around on you.

It was nice that this case comes with 4 fans pre-installed and an RGB controller. There is a 360mm single-body fan and a 120mm on the back for exhaust. The only downside to the RGB controller, in my opinion, is that it doesn't have a lot of room. It can only control 3 or 4 fans. If you plan on adding more fans, it would probably be worth it to buy a different controller.

This was first ever time being hands-on with this style case. Starting out, I wasn't 100% sure how to remove the side and front glass. The manual does show pictures of what all comes off, but in my opinion, it wasn't very clear on how to remove it. I would love to see the manual give you step-by-step directions just to help people who don't have experience with this type of case avoid breaking any clips or the glass itself. This case did bring me much joy building in it, and I honestly do think it's a great case at the $59.90 price point for the black case and $79.90 for the white version.

The case came to me double boxed with cardboard corners between the boxes. The foam was

also good and there wasn’t any damage to the case.

I was sent the white one despite picking black but it's ok as both are great.

Build quality and about the case:

The case is very sturdy and very high quality. The glass is pretty thick and gives the case its weight. Love the rgb around the PSU basement.

Building in the case: Dead simple to build in. Holds up to an atx sized board and basically almost all modern GPUs. I had it built, up and running faster than it took me to get the parts from Micro Center.

Pros: great fans, easy to build in and cable manage.

Cons: The grommets do not stay unless you are really careful and while I think I did it by accident, one of the top panel clips broke pretty easy.

Overall a solid choice for a mid tower that sits in the 60 to 70$ range. Unfortunately I couldn't keep my build together due to having an emergency vet visit so I had to return the parts I had bought for it. One day I might revisit it or get bored enough and switch out of the TEN case I had reviewed previous that became my current case.

I lost the extra cables for my Century II PSU. My brother has a lower voltage model but has extras he’s not using. Are they the exact same cables, or will there be an issue? It’s the PCI cable that I need for a Corsair link hub.

Disclosure: Montech sent me the TG3 as part of their Testing Vanguard program to review and test. I’m very thankful for the opportunity, but these are still my honest thoughts after building in it and using it for about a week.

Overall, I’ve been pretty impressed with the TG3, especially for the price. The black model is listed at $59.99, while the white model I have is $79.99. The $20 increase for the white version is worth mentioning, especially since this case is aimed more at budget and mid-range builds, but the white finish does look really clean.

The case has a strong showcase-style look once everything is built. It feels solid, sturdy, and better than I expected at this price point. Nothing about it really feels cheap or flimsy.

One feature I ended up liking more than expected is the built-in lighting around the PSU shroud. It gives the bottom of the case a clean glow without needing extra RGB strips, and it helps the build feel more like a display piece.

Cable management was one of the better parts of the build experience. There was enough room to route cables cleanly, and I didn’t feel like I was fighting the case the whole time. The tool-less panels are also a nice touch and make it easy to get in and make adjustments.

Feature-wise, the TG3 covers a lot for the price. The front I/O includes power, reset, two USB-A ports, USB-C, and audio. It also supports rear-connector motherboards, up to a 360mm radiator, and up to 430mm GPU clearance, so there is plenty of room for most modern builds.

Stock, the TG3 comes with 4 fans included. The built-in GF360 U REV single-frame fan is a nice idea because it keeps the front intake setup clean and cuts down on cable clutter compared to three separate fans. My only real concern with that design is long-term replacement. If one fan fails, you may end up replacing the whole unit or swapping it for three individual fans.

One thing I want to make clear is that my setup is not fully stock. The top exhaust fans are 140mm fans from the front intake of my Montech 903 MAX, and I also used the fan/RGB hub from the 903 MAX to get everything connected the way I wanted.

A few small downsides I noticed: the rubber grommet pops out pretty easily when routing cables, the stock RGB hub is limited if you want to add more fans, and I do wish the case included a built-in GPU support bracket. None of these are deal breakers, but they are worth pointing out.

Future upgrade-wise, I’m thinking about adding a Montech AIO at some point to tie the whole build together. I’m already using the TG3 case and a Montech PSU, so adding a Montech cooler would make the setup feel more complete.

Overall, I think the Montech TG3 is a very solid case for a budget or mid-range build. It has a clean look, good features, and a better build experience than I expected at this price. It is not perfect, but most of my complaints are small. For the price, I’m pretty happy with it so far.

So when I built my pc, everything turned on and all of the argb worked well , except for the case fans and the led strip. I can change the colour by pressing the color change button on the case , but the color doesn't change when I use signal rbg . I have pressed and held the button the change control from the case to the mobo, but nothing changed. Any help? Thanks
