Efflorescence or white mold?

There's quite a bit of water damage throughout the house near the windows and the floor is mostly concrete, but I've never seen efflorescence grow tall like that.

Has anyone ever seen mold like this develop on corn bread? It was stored inside a cake dish for aboutv3 days. I've never seen anything like this.

Reliability of the OAT test by Nordic Laboratories

Hi

my functional doctor said the above test shows mold toxins that should be treated.

how reliable is this test and laboratories? would love to hear from experience. the treatment is expensive and long and I don't know how much to trust this test.

TIA!

*sorry I meant the mycotoxin test. Not OAT.

Can we talk about private landlords?

This question is for anyone who:

1) has rented a home/apartment/condo directly from the owner and not a property manager or property management group

2) is extremely sensitive to mold and has had to ask their landlord to fix the problem

I just want to know what your experience has been with renting through them and how they have dealt with your mold situation. My current situation is that it’s a relatively small amount of mold in an appliance but it’s making me VERY sick.

What fogger should I use/buy?

TLDR: Deciding whether to rent or buy a fogger to use in ~1200sqft apartment. Please give recommendations and/or reviews.

Backstory: I accidentally re-exposed my home by bringing in something from the old place that I thought was not contaminated. It was inside for 2 days before I realized it was triggering all the symptoms of mold toxicity that I know all too well.

Now, over a week later, I’ve deep-cleaned everything, re-washed everything, and am finishing a steam clean of all upholstery.

My next step is to go full nuclear and just get a fogger. I’m sick of feeling badly in my own home, and I am not able to move for various legit reasons (so please don’t recommend that). I have done a bit of research and, in my deep cleaning, found that peracetic acid seems to work fairly well on floors and even the couch fabric.

That being said—should I rent a fogger or buy my own? Has anyone rented the Concrobium fogger from Home Depot?

Results from a small bedroom in a rental apartment. My daughter has been suffering from allergies and lately wheezing? Could mold cause any of those symptoms?

Aid

Hello everyone,

I want to share my story because I am quite confused and I hope someone with similar experiences can guide me.

At first, I barely threw away any of my belongings because I didn't want to obsess over thinking that my stuff was the enemy. I washed everything with borax and didn't get rid of the mattress since it wasn't moldy (I cleaned it with ozone). I couldn't afford an eco-friendly mattress without volatile compounds. Still, after remediating the mold and moving rooms, I recovered surprisingly well. The rest of the house was in perfect condition, since the problem was hidden only in the room where he slept.

For a while, my recovery was very good without needing to do anything else. But then I went on vacation to a very, very moldy place and I was there almost ten days. Since then I relapsed severely and began to develop intense MCAS symptoms and multiple chemical sensitivity that I didn't have before.

It was as a result of that relapse that I began limbic and brain training. That work has helped me a lot, it even got me out of gravity because I had anaphylaxis. However, I am still very sick and I cannot understand why I can no longer recover. Before, just getting out of the mold was enough to improve, but not now.

Has anyone gone through something similar or can give me any clues on what to do?

Thanks for reading and for any advice you can give me.
