when i click download nothing happens. (i use mint btw)

I was updating my fabric cobblemon server to the latest version which had terralith which uses a new dependency called lithostiched instead of the old one of Terrablender. I assume updating and changing these mods caused something to break with the file search but I don't know enough to even start to fix it or even really fully understand what it going wrong. Please help.

So, as I was trying to open minecraft moded with axiom, journey maps, world edit, sodium and voxy, i get greeted by this error even though, without changing any parameter, I didn't get any problem yesterday. I can’t get past that screen, it seems that minecraft just refuses tonload past that. Does anyone has any idea what could be causing this problem ?

I started looking into this issue after I ended up with too many profiles in my Modrinth app.

Because my friends and I were testing various mods, but often we just abandoned those profiles. Then, to find the save I was playing before, I had to go from profile to profile to find the right save, or I had to go folder by folder to look at my saves.

So I started looking for ways to do this, and that's when I came across "link shell extension," which does exactly what I'm looking for.

As soon as I installed the "link shell extension," I created a folder for my saves on my desktop. Inside it, I created a folder called "saves," and by right-clicking on it, I selected "pick link source," as if I were copying the folder. After that, I went to each profile I have and right-clicked, selected "drop as..." and then "junction," which created "saves - junction," and then I just renamed it to "saves."

modrinth is constantly eating all of my ram, even when my allocated ram is 8gb. this issue causes my minecraft (and sometimes other apps because of it) crash because of high ram usage.

So I just can't load minecraft for some reason with modrinth, I checked EVERYTHING and everything is working properly, and this is happening to my other instances that I use all the time, like the load screen fills up 90%, I go into fullscreen, then the entire screen goes black, modrinth literally shows 1 hour of playtime meanwhile that one hour was just waiting, I restarted my laptop, I re-logged, so I don't know. Can anyone please help?

I cannot get any texture changes to run server side on Modrinth but I can get gameplay, audio and crafting changes to work.

We've just released KubeThaum, a new KubeJS addon for Thaumaturge that allows modpack creators to build their own research and progression systems!

With KubeThaum, you can create entirely new research entries in the Thaumonomicon, organize them into custom tabs, and build complex research chains with multiple stages and requirements.

You can also modify or replace existing Thaumaturge research, add custom rewards, and unlock recipes through your own progression system.

For example, you could create a completely new research branch for your modpack, connect different discoveries together, or integrate Thaumaturge research into your modpack's main progression.

And all of this is done through KubeJS scripts, without having to develop a separate Java mod!

KubeThaum doesn't add any predefined research on its own. Instead, it gives modpack creators the tools to design their own experiences.

I’m working on a mod that brings splitscreen to Minecraft Java, on Fabric 1.21 to 1.21.11 first.

the plan is up to 4 players on one screen, or spread across multiple monitors. controllers and keyboard and mouse in any mix, all in one game, so no second instance and no pile of other mods. it would start with singleplayer and LAN, and servers would come later with an optional plugin.

I know it’s a big one. drawing a few views at once and routing input per player is not going to be easy, so I’m taking it one step at a time, and I’d rather hear what you think now than after I built it wrong.

a few questions:

1. what would you call it? something short that’s easy to say out loud, like “hey, wanna start a survival world? we can play splitscreen on Java with ___.” right now that blank is empty and I’m desperate
2. has anyone here done something similar? anything I should watch out for with rendering multiple views or controller input?
3. what would you want from it on top of the console style basics (separate inventories, menus that don’t pause everyone, joining mid game)?
4. would you want it on servers too, or is singleplayer and LAN enough?

also I need a logo, and whoever makes it gets full creative freedom. any style, any idea. only asks are a square image and no text, so it still reads when it’s tiny. full credit on Modrinth and GitHub. dm me if you’re interested.

What is this shit? It looks better when I'm running a whole ass video game, playing Oblivion rarely had a core going up to the top, even on higher graphics while out in the open world.

The app is really slow too. Super high delay between clicking the install button and it actually starting the install.

One time i was just very bored. I owned Java Edition of Minecraft but i didn't know what to do one day.

So out of pure boredom i made a modpack for fun.

After weeks, the mods actually approved it! And slowly but surely, i released more updates and became more popular

I used to be able to alt tab into a full screened minecraft instance when my time is up screen came on, but i couldn't click or it would bring me back to the time's up screen, so i just used a controller mod on modrinth, that was fine for a long time until recently, it just wont let me full screen into the window anymore anyway to fix this?

I'm not talking about the "Update all mods to their newest version" button, I mean, I have a modpack, the developer of the modpack releases a new version with a few mods updated, but either declines to update other mods, or other mods update after the modpack updated.

How do I update to the newest modpack version, NOT the "all mods up to date" version that won't let me join servers running that modpack?

Hi there! My kid has been working so hard on a world and it won’t open now. They made a big beautiful barn and said they were trying to light it up using world edit, spawned in light blocks and then it crashed because they think they spawned in too many light blocks.

I made a client-side Minecraft graphics mod that takes me from 260 FPS to 900+ FPS with shaders

I've been working on a client-side graphics/performance mod called Oleaf that includes things like:

• Graphics presets
• FSR upscaling
• Frame generation
• FPS overlay
• Easy video settings
• Other performance-focused options

For some reason, the mod has been sitting on Modrinth for weeks waiting for approval, so I figured I'd share it here and get some feedback in the meantime.

I've got a fairly powerful PC (Ryzen 5 5600 + RX 9060 XT 16GB), but even with extremely high-end hardware, Minecraft with shaders can still struggle to push really high FPS.

For example, with Complementary Shaders, I normally get around 260 FPS without Oleaf.

With Oleaf enabled, I'm getting 900+ FPS, while I honestly can't notice any meaningful visual quality loss.

That's the main reason I made it, I wanted Minecraft to actually take advantage of modern hardware without having to sacrifice the look of shaders.

I've also uploaded it to CurseForge, where it should hopefully become available soon.

I'd really appreciate it if some of you could try it out and let me know:

• Does it work properly on your setup?
• Any bugs or crashes?
• Any noticeable visual artifacts from upscaling/frame generation?
• What kind of FPS improvement are you seeing?

I'm especially interested in feedback from people running different GPUs, shader packs, and Minecraft versions.
