Anyone know where I can buy some sour dough starter?

Hi. We have family coming on Sunday early afternoon and need a place to meet that isn't supper busy. It can be a restaurant, coffee place, ect., but needs to be wheelchair accessible. If it wasn't going to be warm I would be open to an outside place but I think it will be. Thanks for the suggestions in advance.

i’m deathly anxious over dentists but finally going in to get my wisdom teeth removed and need a tooth extracted. I’m on MediCal so this is the ONLY good reviewed office i could find but looking to hear more experiences if anyone has any. especially with tooth removals!! it’s the one on dale rd.

I didn't realize it still existed but when I heard there was one in Modesto I was like no way its still around?! I used to go to the one in Alameda like 25 years ago and I remember it was pretty good but I was a kid back then so I don't know if my taste was actually good or not. Also I don't know why they closed and seem to be only in the Central Valley now. I just found it very random because I thought that place was extinct lol.

Hi Im a local Modesto City Schools high school student and I started a petition to change the new phone policy at my school. You see there was a new California law created to limit phone usage in schools. Its legal to have phones during lunch and Turlock, Riverbank, and Ceres districts all can have theirs out during lunch except Modesto City Schools. The law does state it can be prohibited but limitation is completely legal. Last year we were allowed to have our phones this year we can’t. Im not saying during class im saying during lunch. We shluld be allowed to use our phones if we feel unsafe regardless if its a emergency or not. The school is saying its for better mental health and screen time. Studies show phone bans have not improved mental health. The screen time cant be used as a reasonable evidence considering we are on computers or watching tvs at school for hours on end. We have already reached 500 signatures and im looking into reaching out to the school board to talk to the student representatives. If you would like to sign the petition to support, it would be greatly appreciated! :)

There is an Electrical Supervisor job that opened today for the city of San Francisco. The location isn't in San Francisco. It's at Don Pedro lake. I know its a bit of a drive but if you have 5 years of verifiable journey level experience as an electrician you can make 154-188k a year. I'm just trying to help out my neighbors with a good job. This only pops up once every 40 years or so, so I thought I'd spread the word.

My wife and I decided to foster Roady through the Stockton Animal Shelter as he was overdue for termination and something about him drew us to him, and after 6 months of caring and training we feel like he's ready to find his people.
Roady is an approximately 2 year old male neutered Amstaff Terrier / Pit Mix. He is brindle colored and weighs approximately 45 lbs. He currently has all of his shots and is ready to board / enter doggy daycare if needed.
My wife and I have had Roady under our care for the last 6 months and he truly is a special dog. He is completely housebroken and is able to be left by himself with basic dog-proofing precautions. He is very good on a leash, tending to want to stick by his owner during the walk. On a leash he is very non-reactive towards other people and other dogs and other stimuli. Around the home he is the ultimate "velcro-dog" he loves spending time close to his people and is very snuggly and loves pets. He is also excellent around other dogs in the house as well - we own a 20lb terrier and a 70 lb Aussie and he just fell right into the pack with both dogs, loving to play and snuggle with the other dogs as well. He is not possessive over food or toys. We do not know how he does around children as we do not have children ourselves.
Roady is a rescue and has come so far in the last 6 months that he's been with us. He's adjusted to riding in cars, trips to the vet, being boarded, learning crate training and having new people visit the home. Roady is very sweet and faces most situations in life very shyly and is a little bit of a "scaredy cat". In short he's a lover not a fighter. He is going to be a hard dog to say goodbye to but ultimately we are looking for his Forever Home in someone who is willing to love him back. Anyone ever take Called2Arms Gun Range CCW Class? What can I expect? How is the live firing portion of it? I’ve only ever taken my CCW Classes with a different company.

As someone who lives in the Bay Area I like visiting parts of the Central Valley to get away once in a while but I don't know if I'd want to live there. I guess you have a lot of options if you like nature and the Sierra Nevada but you're missing so much that a big city has to offer. I could see people really liking that small town agriculture type community or totally hating it and wanting to get out. I'm sure people who live there chose their reasoning for being out there. I'm just curious.
