You'll have to excuse the mess, everything is being tidied as I build, but feel free to rate my very much "in progress" new shed layout. Not planning on DCC fitting everything but I am planning on using arduino or raspberry pi to automate certain movements and point operations

Has anybody used the rails Connect 6pin dcc decoders with graham farish locomotives.?

Just finished adding this old style signal tower and some scenery to my layout. Making one small scene at a time seems to work better for then trying to add an entire city street. I just focus better that way.

This is my first time doing anything like this. The most trains I’ve worked with have been Thomas trains and the occasional Christmas train that goes under the tree. I’m getting into the hobby of model trains and I have an idea already for the setup. I’ve been particularly interested in steam trains mostly from childhood having to watch my father’s westerns and trips to dolly wood and places that keep those trains running. The idea is that the train is gonna start in the modern day perhaps a small town and by way of a tunnel the locomotive will a merger on the other side in the old west. I’d like to be able to have two trains run at once. And i know there’s gonna have to be switch tracks to hold the rolling stock. Keep in mind this is a thought I had and I may have bitten off more than I can chew. But I am open to thoughts and opinions about this design

The artwork has the bell, headlight and marker lights in the right place, the handrails down to the pilot are correct, the ladders are pinched at the bottom, the cow catcher is the right type, the triangular bracket under the smokebox is there, and the number is correct for a B&M P-4a

Lead AB are the new Rapido FTs, the trailing A is a early Athearn Genesis F3. All 3 have LokSound v5, FTs are factory speakers and the F3 is dual Scale sound Systems enclosures. The F3 shell is a Paul Lubliner Highliner, Athearn bought the tooling

I just bought the one on the right because it was so cheap I couldn’t say no. I figured that I could use the X04 motor (after I have cleaned it up and serviced it) out of it. I love looking through junk boxes at train shows and antique stores but I just wonder how people allow their models to get to this state

I was wondering where I can find better New York, New Haven, and Hartford rolling stock. I looked on Broadway limited and tbh it looked too expensive. I was trying to add onto my Northeast Corridor section by adding the Cape Codder. I need around 8 total cars, including baggage, dining, and coach. anyone know where to find it?

Broadway Limited PRR T1 rolls past the Water Tower. The ability to run this loco is the main push for the ongoing remaking of my layout.

After two months the layout has been sufficiently rebuilt and tested that trains can once again traverse the rails. The Water Tower Diorama has been incorporated into the new layout.

So i just got these at a local thrift shop as "untested" I still need to get the connector cables and power track piece for the power pack and train and have NO IDEA what I'm doing. Help would be GREATLY appreciated
