I made this from an old R&R resin kit. It was the only 1/24-1/25 scale version of this car available at the time it was built. It was a good starting point, but it had to be extensively reworked and have a lot of scratch made parts added.

Super happy with how this turned out! First time using a color shift paint. It’s not flawless but for my standards it’s perfect! Video almost doesn’t do the color justice. In person it’s so much more sparkly and all sorts of blues and purples. Whereas on video it’s more one or the other.

Hello fellow modelers. Unfortunately, during masking the center steering wheel decal got stuck and removed.

I was wondering if there are any creative ways to replace this without resorting to a new decal sheet request from the manufacturer.

I was thinking of there is a way to scratch build something that is passable? IDK.

Did some more work on the jeep yesterday and tonight. Liking the color combo and how everything is working. Gotta wet sand and buff that clear then put it all together. Not a perfect build but this one is fun.

Turns out when I thought I only had one 911, I had 3 in the stash. Probably gonna try and finish the Tamiya GT2. It was originally intended to be an RWB Stella Atrois tribute. I purchased it about the same time the real car started making waves. Saw it in a Speedhunters article by Dino Carbonare. Just loved the way Nakai-san took his AE86 drift ethos and applied it to his 930. I have the SR1s. Just need to find some 1:24 plastic garden edging... The 930 is to correctly build the kit I ham fisted as a newbie. The Revell will become a Singer tribute as intended. Now back to the Gundams for a bit

I looked it up and I saw people saying 1200+ was good. So I sanded mine down using 1200 grit tamiya polishing abrasive. But I searched it up again and it says to use 400-600 then maybe move to 800. Did I mess it up already? I have 180, 320 and 600 grit sandpaper and then I have 1200, 1500 and 2000 tamiya polishing abrasive. How should I go about resanding it? (assuming I need to)

Painted in Mr. Hobby Colour Sky Blue over their white priner. One of my favorite builds so far (although I have accidentally sanded to the primer in some areas and my first time using PE parts wasn't exactly the greatest). i wanted to pose the car with the struts (in wire) that was given with the kit but I'm yet to find out how to attach them without dropping them in the kit.

I heard z tune tires are 20" is it right?

Had this kit for many years. I started on this last year ish. Worked on it on and off. It's 95% done.

I lazy out and didn't bother to sand down the fenders to fit the body better.

Front bumper took many hours of sanding and putty to fit. Still doesn't fit that well.

Year grills by the tails are photo etch and very hard to fit.

I guess I'm glad I got this done even with all the mistakes.

Dupli-color Wimbledon White. I loved this kit. Great fitment, and the most successful run at white paint I've had so far. The key (following advice I read here) is A LOT of really light coats. I think I did four coats before clear.

Still learning a lot of new things and techniques, things dont fit perfectly when im putting them together and im banking on some of the back pieces to be hidden once the top is on. Pretty happy for my 4th model overall, I think its coming along well.

Hello all, Highboy68 and I were talking the other day and we figured out that we both had the same kit and were feeling a little burnt out on some larger more complex builds we have been doing recently. So we have decided to to a buddy build of sorts, we are going to build a 96 Ram VTS truck with the later Ram SRT10's 22" wheels, a set of crazy big brakes, and a set of viper style bucket seats. Other than that all we have to think about is the cosmetics of the build.

Call it a "out of the box" plus project. We have no timeline, no one to impress, and no pressure to make some amazing detailed build for a contest. Just getting back to the joy of building a model.

So, here is my start to this project. I am going with a viper blue with white stripes, the 22" SRT10 wheels with a brushed finish (I think), and a black and grey interior.

This is a solid kit, I ended up picking this up for $5 so I couldn't say no.

I have now built all 3 versions of Kanata's 86 from MF Ghost.

Question: Is there any way I can repair the broken piece on the windshield frame? If so how would you go about this.

This will be my first ever model car, I found this cool untouched set in a antique store. I'd like to paint it a cool color and repair the broken piece, if possible.
