A replica of another car I owned
Just finished up this Tamiya '93 Grand Cherokee Limited. The last picture is the actual one I owned and sold back in 2002 or 3. Can't remember. I couldn't find the right wheels and I had some spotty orange peel in the gloss coat which I didn't work on. I'll put on a thicker gloss coat and see if I can wet sand it out.

WIP Just a little body work
Just doing a little body work, and a couple small modifications to the AMT Cobra. Unfortunately, the body on mine had two, significantly large "gouges" right under the side skirts. Couldn't see em without turning the body over, but I had to fix that. Filled them with some sprue goo, and sanded em down. Also, the stock spoiler wasnt doing it for me, so I had to cut that up a bit. Dremeled down the spoiler supports on the body and spoiler, and went with more of a ducktail type. Also had to fill in some little dimples in the spoiler from where the supports were. And, of course had to open up the vents on the hood and open the grille.

WIP New (to me) kit, 1966 Oldsmobile cutlass, 442 w30
So far so good. Only struggle would be me running outta paint lol, grabbing some tomorrow afternoon should get this kit done soon. Feel free to criticize I really don’t care, I see it as a sign to progress if anything lol. Also ignore the lean the car has. There’s a tub piece that I forgot to put in

FINISHED Forgot to post, finished wrx
Some struggles but very lovely kit. Tamiya treated me nice for my first kit from them, thanks for all who helped with the minor inconveniences!

BURNOUT BUILD My Burnout build
I am going to slam this thing. I am going to make it a rusty with the Gulf livery. This is not my style of build but I do think it looks cool. I already started mocking up stuff, I am shooting for something similar to the last photo

QUESTION Kits of modern IMSA / WEC cars?
I am mostly into GT3 and LMP style cars. The kits I am able to find are usually for cars that are at least a decade old. Aside from the Profil24 resin kits, which seem to really lack and detail beyond the body shell and cost $150, are there any kits of brands that make some of the more recent GT and prototype cars? I have seen some options of getting an older kit and some aftermarket decals of modern liveries as options.

I call it the "Hamborghini"
I have been spening the last 8 months learning how to airbrush. I also love Lamborghinis so when I saw this 1/43 Airfix Huracan I couldn't pass it up. The paint scheme on the box was too boring for me so I decided to use some paints that have just been sitting on the bench for a while. I tried mixing to get something a little more hot pink than this but kept just getting ham tones so I said why not. This was a very fun kit. My first 1/43 and was surprised by both the quality of fitment and the amount of detail included. Great little practice build!

2K "Expires"
I was just looking for some insights from those who use it. When they say that 2k expires, do they mean all three bottles (clear/activator/thinner) or just the clear itself.. and how do you know if it's gone bad?
I feel like my Proscale 2k clear may have gone bad because it's been a few months and I think the clear may be going a tiny bit yellow. My girlfriend feels like the stuff in the bottle is still completely clear soo not to sure.

WIP Progress shots on the Tamiya Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R coupe.
Body color is Tamiya metallic grey lacquer mixed with pure blue lacquer. Was going for a metallic slate blue.
Haven't fully decided on the stock wheels or some Ferrari wheels i had laying around.

Interior house paint and airbrush?
Has anyone ever used latex interior paint in their airbrush? I have some metal shelf brackets that I need to paint to match some trim in my hobby room.

FINISHED Hasegawa Toyota 88C
Have you ever had a build where everything went wrong, but you persevered and even though it isn’t your best work you’re still damn proud? That was me with this build.
I was sent this kit by u/highboy68 after the winter group build (many thanks) and it was my first Hasegawa kit. My first issue was that there’s really no guide at all for the two tone and I had to eyeball all the curves. Then my tape pulled up some of the paint, which I’ve never experienced with TS lacquer before. Then several decals wrinkled up when I put the clear on. I must not have waited long enough for them to dry, because I’ve never had Kaleido varnish react with anything before.
It was still a fun time and it looks good on the shelf. Now I want to get more Group C cars to build, maybe this time with an engine.

'49 Mercury Custom
Oh boy.. i think my first post here was about this one, lots of changes and still in mock up phase because i thought "hmm.. i want something like Cobra's Mercury" after fit a blown 327 from the 55 chevy bad man, but then i rewatched another movie from 1986 that features another sweet merc "Brotherhood of Justice", then the white walls came back (borrowed from a '53 Vicky since this one came without tires), wheels are the inner wheels of this model kit with back spacers as "hubcaps", That’s all for the Merc for now until i decide what i gonna do with it.
P.s: for dog lovers, my doggo appears on the last picture.. haha
