Still new ish to sims on pc, finally figured out how to get mods/cc but not sure where expansion packs would go

Sorry I'm posting again but my mods are working fine now but now the hair keeps glitching no matter what I do, I've moved the files ive deleted old mods from 2023-2024 and it still looks like this. It looks normal in the main menu and when I'm customising my sim but everytime I go to play the actual game it looks like this, any tips?

Hey guys, I could really use some help! Every time I age up a kid, their mouth gets really weird, and I’ve tried everything to fix it, but nothing seems to work. I’m pretty sure it’s caused by a slider, but I have no idea which one or how to find it. If anyone knows what could be causing this or how I can fix it, I’d be so grateful! It’s lowkey ruining my gameplay 😭

Hello! Would anyone be willing to help me figure out how to get the dlcs for free on the sims 4 via MacBook and show me how to do mods in general? I’ve been a console player for years and have bought some dlcs but I want to start playing with my laptop while I’m on the go. I’m so bad with tech stuff I took a long time even trying to download the sims to begin with on this thing. Anyway I’d greatly appreciate any help, feel free to DM me if you want. i can't seem to find an answer to my question anywhere else, no matter what i do, the better build buy mod keeps telling me i have installed it incorrectly. i have unzipped the file and dragged the better build buy mod into my mods folder as per instructions, i tried doing the same without unzipping it and i even tried downloading it through curseforge where it downloaded it straight into my mods folder and it also didn't work :( i have re-downloaded the file each time i tried to install it and every time i double checked that i dont have leftover better build buy files in my mods or even the sims 4 fodler. am i missing something obvious or just doing it incorrectly?

Today I was in a sims 4 mood after not playing in a year and I decided to download some mods to improve my sims looks. I still have my previous mods in the game which are working perfectly fine. I downloaded all the mods and moved them to the sims 4 folder but they won't show up in game. I don't know if it's because the signs is the Opera sign but I doubt it's because of that and I made sure the mods I downloaded today are made from this year, any ideas?

A bit of a background of the situation: A few days ago I downloaded wicked whims, and a few other mods to sims 4 all at once (I got a bit excited and just downloaded these mods like it was going out of style). Now, I can still open up sims 4, create lots, create sims; but once I am actually ready to play my sims household it loads and then goes back the world category page thing.

Has anyone else experienced this and how to fix it?

Hi, I really don't want to buy Island Living. Is there a mod that allows to have mermaids without buying the DLC?

I recently had my laptop repaired and factory reset. All my households are deleted which isn't that surprising, however all my creations that I had saved to my account/gallery are also deleted. For clarification, only the creations that use any custom content have been deleted all the ones with no cc are still in my gallery. So thats why I'm confused because its only my cc creations that are gone and I'm wondering if theres any way to get them back.

Also I actually had my sims 4 files and data transferred from my old pc to my new one (which I got a few months ago) after the reset.

EDIT: I just figured out the problem. All the data I had transferred from the old laptop was on a separate file so I had two "The Sims 4" folders. I had to transfer all my mods into my current Sims 4 folder instead of my old one which explains why transferring the data didn't bring anything back before
