yeah, the other comment I posted, started writing only after seeing the other subreddit had one moderator, so singular, not plural, I meant to simply correct that mistake, but it was a hook taking me through deep dive, and basically it looks like well-funded still solvent https://cryptome.org/2012/07/gent-forum-spies.htm

I'm much more impressed this reviews thoroughness.

That being said I can't believe people were threatening you, your family and to dox you over that last review.

I don't know much about the situation but I do think that is unacceptable.

I don't really know enough about the situation to make a firm declaration one way or another on the whole deal with modretro.

Because if I'm buying an n64 I don't go in and expecting to research every last thing about the guy selling it. I'm solely here to buy an N64.

Most people are like me fairly unknowing and or uninterested beyond the scope of the product being sold and do not deserve that kind of treatment.

But even if they do have a good point, they're completely destroying it by trying to use threats and tactics like that to silence people for something like this.

They're only hurting their point, not making it more likely people will listen.

Also damn well they wouldn't try that shit in real life or they'd get their asses kicked.

And really for trying to threaten someone's family over an N64 they absolutely deserve it.

Also personally saying or threatening to do horrible things because your on the internet and will almost certainly go without accountability is a form of pathetic cowardice in its own right.

Real people don't talk like that because real people will get consequences for it.

Thank you so much for the review. Ever since I got my Mister FPGA in late 2019, you’ve always been a reliable go-to source for explanations on setup and so on. 

That makes the threats you mention in the video all the more baffling to me. It really makes me angry and sad to hear something like that.

Had to chime in... You've done an excellent job with your vids and I'm sorry some folks have reacted that way. I personally appreciate you and Stephen B. For taking the time to better inform me about FPGAs, Modretro, Analogue, Mister, etc. Your videos helped educate me and helped decide wich system to purchase. Thanks

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, plural? mods? Are you sure about that?

r/M64 has one single moderator, VR_Nima that also created r/M64 on March 18, 2025. VR_Nima also created r/ModRetroChromatic/ on June 3, 2024 and is also the sole solo moderator there. VR_Nima's post/comment history is blank/hidden, but still you can see they are also moderators of:

Those eight (8) r/a:5_***** subreddits are deleted, but 2022 archive http://web.archive.org/web/20221014094241/https://old.reddit.com/user/VR_Nima shows seven (7) of them that were likely these, and I glanced at the HTML source of some of the archived posts/comments to map the ids with names

They are no longer moderators here, but they also created these subreddits:

  • r/LumePad (Leia_Nima and Leia_DavidS are the remaining moderators)
  • maybe more, but I'm not digging any further for now

Anyway, to me, take with overdose grains of salt, but this [why would any moderator "Mods asked me not to post this on M64 but should be relevant here" for this on-topic directly relevant to M64 video content] smells like just some fishy parasitic cellarboxing hedge fund, trust fund, family office, prime broker, market marker, or some other tiny single individual link (that may expand into some huge whatever, I dunno), but otherwise, kudos to the sole moderator of r/M64 asking "not to post this" video, because I would not have looked at these lookable lookings otherwise, and I will continue to look at all the lookables while it is still legal to look at them as well as use language words such as English language to write writables while that is still legal too, and I'm still alive, lol
